Liked Madeira so much that I got my first tattoo of the coordinates of the island on my forearm. Beautiful place , Great food, and super friendly people. Made several friends and looking forward to meeting them again someday. Always tip your waiters and waitresses well
I remember reading about the waves of Madeira in a surf memoir and it always stuck with me. Seeing it actually on film is amazing to put together my imagination of the experiences I read to what you just lived! Thanks for the vid brass! And most importantly God bless.

An important thing to note...the wave was even better prior to the construction of the break wall. Fortunately this wave still exists in some form but a good reminder of how development can entirely or partially ruin a wave.
Nic I love watching surfing videos, the waves looked incredible! But as you went exploring and showed the camera/ drone shots my mouth fell open. Madeira is absolutely beautiful. Blown away. The size of the cliffs, the trees, it's just glorious. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful video showing everything about Madeira’s amazing atmosphere. Thanks to your video you did a year ago, I chose to go on a surf trip, and it didn’t disappoint at all. I had crazy waves in Paul do Mar and Ponta Paul. Almost alone in the water. I had the chance to met Orlando. The people on the island are very welcoming. Cheers for everything Nic !

Do you ever stop and think that these special places should be left alone, not publicised, kept unique and off the radar as much as possible? Is media attention worth naming spots that have been semi forgotten about for a decade or more? I’m aware of Jardims fame. However in the last 10 years it’s gotten quieter. Is it not leaving at least somewhere alone?
Hey nick I know you surfed figuera do foz , I dnt know if you surfed it big, if you did how does it compare to Madeira. We chatted once before , as I surfed figuera do foz out by the lighthouse down to the river in 1979 with some guys including Graham Nile who you may have heard of. Surprised if you haven’t. He is in his seventies now and I’m 66 this year. Still surfing as is Graham from what I hear still trying o win everything
