Try changing the needle clip position. Could be that you have changed the slide out of the other carb etc . Was the plug black / rich or more white / lean . I would say to much fuel . Higher the clip 1 place if worse the try the other way
I haven't been out on my cg 125 for a few months, took it out yesterday. Turned fuel on etc, wouldn't idle. Having recently cleaned and retuned carb i thought hmm maybe i set it for summer not winter so set about trying to adjust it, after ages i manage to get it to light but it wasnt happy. Foolishly I set off, and all seems well, get about a mile away, conks out. Im adjusting carb etc, lights up but conks after a mile or so every time I stop. After going shopping and having it cut out at about twenty junctions, I pull up with it absolutely red hot wondering whats wrong and completely baffled I look at the fuel tap which is set to reserve not on because the tap points the opposite way, I set it to on and it lights right up and is back to normal. The reserve was partially blocked up. What Id been doing was using a blocked up reserve flow with restricted fuel flow and adjusting the carb so it would run on this reduced amount of fuel, leaning it out. No wonder it was red hot! Basically the moral of the story, dont assume the most complicated thing is wrong with something. Good luck adjusting it definitely might take a few cups of coffee to get to whats wrong with it. 👍😎
They’re total rubbish mate honestly.! Iv been there, done that and got the t-shirt with the carbs and also the cheap engines they produce.! Stick to Honda stuff if you can. Great video👍
Hi Martin, if it boggs but slowly picks up speed that's normally indicates its Rich, as you don't appear to be picking up speed I would say you running lean, I would swap your jets over from the original carb and give it another go, don't mess about with the needle clip postion, just yet, those only give you more of a finer adjustment, it's to far off, for that to help, good luck with it 👍
@@Motoshed thanks for that Terry. It does seem weak to me as it’s better if I apply some choke. Bottom end jetting is quite good, so I’ll try a bigger main jet.
Definitely bogging mate, maybe a circuit or a jet is blocked or partially blocked, I got some jet cleaners off eBay cleaned my jet out, it had some weird silicone inside the float bowl another option might be to speak/email Adrian at ooracing about the carb, he very knowledgeable x
NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH THESE CARBS. THEY ARE GENERIC AND NEED TO BE SET UP TO THE ENGINE. THEY MIGHT BE ADVERTISED AS C90 BUT THE JETS ARE INSTALLED FOR LITTL ENGINES ALL THROUGH ASIA. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THESE RUBBISH REVIEVS CRITIISING THEM ARE STILL POSTED. HAVE A LOOK AT THAT CARB AND TELL US WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE QUALITY. YOU DO NOY HELP OTHER ENTHUSIASTS BY POSTING THIS. DO SOME RESEARCH ON JET SIZES. THESE ARE NOT KNOCKED UP IN LITTLE BACK STREET WORKSHOPS.
@@BobSmith-ly2zs I’ve checked the jet sizes as marked and they are correct for the C90. If you watch my video on the unboxing and fitting you will see I was impressed with the quality (for the low price) I have several friends who have used these carbs and all say it’s a lottery wether you get a good one or not. I’m just telling it like is, no bullshit on my channel.
@@MartinRivespeed I'd deffo take that end part out Mart, just in case. It might invalidate your insurance in the case of a theft. It only takes one and your numbers are growing!!!

Hi, might sound daft but have checked the main jet size and the throttle slide needle position ?
Try it with the Chinese slide in it.

You need to adjust the fule mixture screw. Counterclockwise to richen. It's getting fule starvation.
I hope this helps. Enjoying the videos
