At becoming a 76 year old a few days from this writing, I must wonder if your thoughtful video of the "glorious" C-90 cub might be the closest I get to actually riding one again ! Thank You so much for another nostalgic Honda Cub video. Greetings once again to all from Ontario, Canada.
@@barrybegley5379 it’s never too late, even if you can’t or don’t ride anymore, they make a great ornamental piece for the shed, or even better; the living room 😄
Don’t be afraid, go out and get a small bike and have some (mild?) adventures! I re-started my motorcycling aged… 73 I think. I’m now a week away from my 78th birthday, have a 1992 Serow (Yamaha XT225) and a stripped 2006 Honda Innova (ANF125) and I’m really enjoying my bimbles round the Welsh countryside and playing at adapting the bikes in my garage. It really is not too late! Les in UK 🇬🇧
I remember back in 93 I rode a C90 from London to Ferndale to see family, then up to Holyhead to see more family before riding back to London, it was an epic summer journey, lots of fun.
I laughing because even though your doing 30 it looks like your doing about 60 MPH . Just loving it. There is no better bike ride than at sunset in the countryside .. sure other will agree with
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing. I had a Honda C70 years ago and used to ride to Bangor and back on it with my ex wife. Fun days. We both loved it. I think that a lot of fun can be had on smaller capacity motorcycles. Keep sharing, great stuff.👍😁
I live 200 miles away, but know this road so well. Climbed Crow Castle earlier this year. As a fellow C90 owner, I am very jealous. It’s a beautiful part of the world.
Being a teenager in the 1970's I had a C50 to go to work on. Loved it and regretted selling it for ( £1 a c.c.) £50! My Dad got back into motorcycling in the late 70's a bought a brand new C90. Very jealous! A friend had a C70 which went very well. I don't know if I would get one again, but this video certainly is making me think!
Good work mate. I recently did something similar, reviving my little Honda CG125 after it also spent 10 years in a shed. It's a good feeling seeing these little bikes back on the road again, as they're meant to be.
What a Great Film! I've just come back from Skiathos and Skopolos in Greece and these Hondas were everywhere. They use these Hondas more than they use cars over there and you see tradesmen with ladders and tool bags hanging off the back. A good challenge would be to buy one over there and ride it back to the UK.
Cracking little bike - my next bike the 125, struggling with age to get my leg over my own bike. Mixed emotions but i know the cub wont let me down. Good on yer pal, power to your e;bow.
I once owned a grey and white 1972 C90 back in the 80s. It was my commuter bike when i lived and worked in London. However, i also used to drive it to and from Cambridge at weekends. The old A10 was perfect, even though, legally, i could have used the M11. Such a great bike. Economical and reliable.
Many years ago I saw a documentary abut Iconic Bikes. Racers were asked their opinion, King Kenny (Roberts) suggested the Cub for a multiple of reasons. Your in good company apparently 👍
Wonderful, nostalgic, sweet vids, mate, thanks! One of your commenters asked where it is, I looked up and its Crow Castle, or Castell Dinas Brân. Could you leave the whereabouts of these wonderful rides in the desccription to your vids? (Or do you fear the area becoming overrun with fans on C90s? 🤣
I was about to sell my C90….. after 5 years of little adventures, maybe I should think again! Glorious roads in your films, thank you. Where about in wales are you filming?
I see you don't rev on the downshift. Once you push your foot on the gear lever, the auto clutch engages, give the throttle a quick blip and complete the change into a lower gear lift your foot off the lever and you have a super smooth downshift without cluncks, better for the gearbox as well.
I'm amazed you've managed to keep it going. I had a 50 in the Sixties and spare parts were almost impossible to get then, so it must be even worse now.
Still a fair few of the 12v c90’s like mine around and even more aftermarket parts available. Although lots of them are very poor quality. Pre 81 models are harder to find spares etc for
I am from India. These step through bikes are suitable for elderly people. Light and easy to use. I would live to have one. Unfortunately can’t, as these kind are not marketed here. Hero Honda marketed one in late ‘90s. Failed attempt.
plaguy pigs .. Had so many of these in my child hood . back then thought it was classed as modern bike .. Henry Cole loves them.. Classic bike. I forgot they have gears?
@@thatwelshman4518 yeah.... I heard. 😁. I love them. It's great for going round all the little twisty country roads.. I recently just bought a Peugeot 125 scooter.. I wish I hadn't.. ride easy and safe my friend
@@thatwelshman4518 Ah, that's life. (It was largely as a result of watching your videos that I bought my Sertao - I wanted something taller than the Himalayan too, as a first 'big bike'. So far it's been an excellent choice. Had a run up through the Elan valley to Aberystwyth on Friday, and it coped with that effortlessly.) Enjoy the cub.
It's not the bikes we ride that makes us true motorbikers.
It's the love of motorcycling. 👍

Well in Sam. That's the first bike I ever rode on. Great memories.
Aye first one I ever roads with gears on and crashed it 😂 this is my third in the last few years. Nice and simple to work on
Nice little bike. Had Puch Maxi, Vespa Ciao, Suzuki CP50 and Aprillia ? over the years. A small bike or moped is a lot of fun (most of the time 😅)
Less is more. Brilliant! 😁
Very nice indeed. Wish I had one! On the other hand, this shows the truly appalling state of Britain's roads in 2024.
I'd forgotten what a decent little bike these are!
Legendary little machine!

Hi
What year is the beast please
Where are you getting your parts from
Nice video and beautiful scenery

Great video. Got a couple of those, including a red one - great bikes. Replacing the shocks makes a big difference (think i’ve got cb125 ones)
She's beautiful😭😭😭

What's the latest version of this terrific bike ?
Honda super cub 125. There are other versions like the 110 in Asia I believe
Had an Aprillia around 2005. Great scooter with a good fuel tank but 2 stroke. Current 4 strokes I'd prefer.

Castell Dinas bran, known sometimes as Llangollen castle or crow castle
