Its specs sounded great at the time (with a couple exceptions: the processor speed was half the TT's, and the 1040 case made it difficult to expand). The pics we saw of what it could do looked dazzling. I think the problem was "too little, too late." It was launched in 1992. Former Atari users had been migrating over to cheaper, faster PCs (Ataris were no longer "power without the price"), and the Falcon's capabilities were not enough to bring them back. For the Atari fans that remained, the consensus was this was what the ST should've been all along. I sympathized with that, but looking back, I think if Atari had tried to produce something like this (similar specs) in 1985, they couldn't have done it, because they were trying to get the ST out quickly (before the Commodore Amiga), plus the cost of the components would've driven its price well beyond what the original ST sold for, probably making it more expensive than the Amiga 1000.
This is another one i will install on my Falcon 030 hard drive. Great demo with good music :)
