04:20 That guitar sounds so organic, so natural. Amazing sound. Richie Sambora is a master guitar player. And with a producer like Bob Rock, the result is unbeatable.
Even when he's messing around he's soulful poetic & just so damn good!! Can't wait for new music, I am wearing out Aftermath of the Lowdown....please Richie, the world needs your music.
look at 1:16 when Bob starts talking about Pink Floyd and Richie play Wish You Were Here instantly. Richie didn't even think about it. Plus the guitar sounds amazing.
StevieRay 71 Bob is a badass. He gets so much shit for changing Metallica’s sound but they clearly wanted to already, or else they wouldn’t have chosen him. He did his job perfectly.
Max F a This is a 12 string. Hard to play since you have to hold down more strings as you play. Each string is tuned to accompany the one next to it. The G string may be tuned as two different notes to get the final G note but in a much Richier way!
Richie Sambora is the reason I picked up the guitar in 1992! And Stranger in this Town is, in my opinion, the best blues/rock album EVER! I know that album backwards and forwards. Aftermath of the Lowdown was the return of Sambora in 2012 bc he was finally able to play like himself, in a way that had SADLY disappeared from Bon Jovi for years...and not of Richie's chosing I'm sure....hint hint!
Great sounding 12 string for you Richie. Hope you bought that one! Good to know everything been great for you these days. One of my favorite YT channels. Always such a "positive" place to visit. You're a lucky guy Norm to of worked your way to such an privileged life and way to make a living for yourself as well as providing (or shall I say, passing along to the new caretakers) these beautiful instruments for others to enjoy.. It's a win, win, for everyone that's involved with your store!
Huge sigh of relief here! Thank you Ritchie! Can not wait to hear some good tunes and guitar work from you again. Really glad that there won't be some shitty vocals and ego for you to have to work around this time! Narsasistic Jon is the one that has drifted astray.
Glad He's doing His Record........ past time. Right equipment, right tunes and the Right People. Nice sound to that 12 string. See the Hall of Fame award frame right. See lots of comments about drugs/drinking this is no where as bad as the interviews and even the older Norm's video with Ori. Hope he is getting it back together and thinking above the neck. He's too talented and still has it in him. Always had an out there sense of humor but this is more concise than the past few years have seemed imo. Richie 2012 was absolutely on his A game. Hoping for that again.
I just saw a Metallica recording documentary on the black album . Wasn’t that Bob rock who recorded too ??? I could live in a studio man ! Love the environment!
Richie is so cool. Sure, i knew it already. But after seeing him here.. Way he's having fun playing guitar. Way he joke and smile to you with his brand huge 'oversmile', while looking in your eyes and waiting for response. Very likable and friendly. "You'd be lucky to call him your friend" (c) Jon Bon Jovi about Richie. And me i feel these words even better now.
Sambora looks great looks like he's ready to go to work I heard John's album it totally sucked let's see if Richie is ready. Too give one two punch of rock and roll lets go get em RICHIE.
Richie's solo albums are always better than Jon's. Think it is because Richie shows more of his influences and Jon just rehashes Bon Jovi stuff with other musicians, instead of showing a different side of himself.
It's good to see him. BJ have lost a soul man on guitar. Richie is doing music for heart and soul in a special way. He can play it with 50.000 people audience or very simple. One man, one guitar. My hero
Torsten Wolf it's impossible he has a very strange behavior due to use of alcohol and even in nowadays! By familiar problems like divorce and his father's death. When his ex wife heather lockear won the custody of her daughter, he was lacking down emotionally, He released a record about his addictions! And the tour was cancelled, So he was starting to drink alcohol again on 2013, he felt that couldn't be able for to do it anymore! it was that the he had leave the band! @jonbonjovi is the boss and a man of business and his manager is Mr Irving Azzoff a very respectable man on the world bussiness, this is the true, the real true. th-cam.com/video/VX-iWCC3KkI/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/ygVjUSaHqzIo/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing! Can't wait for more Sambora gold... and with Bob Rock, how can you go wrong?!? Big job to top 'Aftermath Of The Lowdown' - best release in decades!
Great vid. Saw Bon Jovi just over 10 years ago, HP Pavillion. Richie on board. I was my Wife's hero for a minute. Bought "Stranger In Town" way back. Heck, almost forgot i had it ;)
Richies always been hilarious and entertaining… always loved his guitar playing and his vocals are so under rated… he’s actually way better then Jon……what’s up with Bob rock? No enthusiasm… feels like he didn’t even want to be part of the interview…. Norm, if you read this I am from NJ not far from where Richie’s parents lived… can u somehow get me a signed photo of Richie? Tell him next time he comes to the point pleasant area to visit me for even a coffee :) God bless you both ❤❤❤
Can't wait Rich. He had a great album that did not get a lot of play back I. Late 80-early 90s Badlands I got a demo he was handing out in NJ check it out.
Each time Richie makes a joke he looks at bob rock for approval. Be confident young blood, you got it going on. You sound better than most, even when hammered.
For those who like a blast from the past check out Bob Rocks 'China Boys' way back in 1981 when he played guitar with Payolas a new wave band from Canada. Still a great song that really emcompasses what the post punk scene was all about. Also check out 'Eyes of a Stranger' from the Payolas 1982 Mick Ronson produced 'No stranger to Danger' album.
You are correct! 😃 Bon Jovi stayed in Vancouver for New Jersey, 1988, + Keep the Faith, 1992, which Bob Rock 🇨🇦 produced. Bob Rock engineered the 1st 2 albums, late Bruce Fairbairn 🇨🇦 producing. RIP.
Who may or may not have been under the influence of ‘medication’. Look at his eyes, listen to his voice, the man is not clean & sober. Coke? Alcohol? Who knows but that’s not a man who is clean. He needs to get sorted and learn how to live clean if he wants to live a long & happy life.
'Hey Norm, it's Richie here, Richie Sambora. We're doing a recording at my house and I need a 12 string guitar because I can't find mine. Can you jump in a cab and bring one over right away, I'll pay the fare.' 'Sure thing Richie, I got one that's still in tune from when Lemmo played it. Thing is, traffic's pretty heavy this time of day, I think I should maybe hire a helicopter, is that okay...?' 'No worries Norm, the bank pays for everything, you know that. See you soon baby....'
04:20 That guitar sounds so organic, so natural. Amazing sound. Richie Sambora is a master guitar player.
And with a producer like Bob Rock, the result is unbeatable.
Richie is amazing, he stands on his own with music & lyrics!!
Great sounding guitar! Richie is his usual funny self! Thanks for all the videos, Norm!!!
I thought they were making an album. Apparently not
Even when he's messing around he's soulful poetic & just so damn good!! Can't wait for new music, I am wearing out Aftermath of the Lowdown....please Richie, the world needs your music.
And there’s been no album
Amazing people! Uncle Richie is never too far!!! ❤ Luv ya Richie!
look at 1:16 when Bob starts talking about Pink Floyd and Richie play Wish You Were Here instantly. Richie didn't even think about it.
Plus the guitar sounds amazing.
love the look of approval on Bob's face when Richie played the Petty tune at the end...sounds amazing !!
We love ya Richie! Been listening since high school! You paved a way in music that I can never repay you for!

StevieRay 71
Bob is a badass. He gets so much shit for changing Metallica’s sound but they clearly wanted to already, or else they wouldn’t have chosen him. He did his job perfectly.
and Richie is soused as fuck....
Amazing and underrated guitar player, and the best singer Bon Jovi ever had. Bob is a legend too.
I love his solo albums. His songs are great, the lyrics are wonderful and the guitar playing is just amazing . Hopefully he'll it release it soon
great video guys awesome music and great guitars
That’s an amazing sounding guitar!
Max F a This is a 12 string. Hard to play since you have to hold down more strings as you play. Each string is tuned to accompany the one next to it. The G string may be tuned as two different notes to get the final G note but in a much Richier way!
Bob Rock is God. Thank you for producing such amazing albums. Thank you for the black album
AMEN...!!!!👍🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇦👍!!!!
Great musician with a great producer...cant wait to see what comes of this...
I hope these guys are doing okay! Love Richie and I know he and Bob Rock can do something beautiful together!
Richie, my Guitar God. Thanks to Norm for the footage. I was wondering where Richie had been after the horrific partnership with Orianthi ended
When did it end?
Dont know exactly but say, 5-6 months ago
Dr. Deth it sounds as though she is the one holding the camera
Richie Sambora is the reason I picked up the guitar in 1992! And Stranger in this Town is, in my opinion, the best blues/rock album EVER! I know that album backwards and forwards. That sounds so good. What an acoustic!!!
Three legend here!!! Bob, Ritchie and Norman!
Good job Norm with the hosting/ interview despite Bob Rock obviously not enjoying this. Richie os tops for sure
Glad Richie is writing a new album, he is my hero
Sambora is a legend!

Nice to see Ritchie looking better
Loved his solo albums in the past
Richie May have been 90 proof

wow that 12 string guitar sounds amazing.
Richie jamming a lil Floyd was priceless
Cool Bob & Richie. Guitars The 💣 too
Wow.. The new material is amazing 4:15-4:44... Can't wait to hear when it's finally release
That was "Into the great wide open" by Tom Petty, he said that just after he stopped playing.
What an incredible guitar - sounds amazing. Esp the last Tom Petty tune so well played he has master technique with all the inflections.
I just saw a Metallica recording documentary on the black album . Wasn’t that Bob rock who recorded too ??? I could live in a studio man ! Love the environment!

So Richie's writing new solo album? Should be interesting...
Be nice to here a fresh breakup song from his current perspective in life right now. That's what I'm dealing with personally at least
Anything by Richie is amazing,
he said that the the tittle is "The Songs that Wrote my Life" so expect A Lotta Clapton-Beattles-Floyd and some other olddies :D
this 12 cords sound amazing and Richerd is playing also crazy good 👍✌️
Great sounding acoustic guitar!
what a sound.
Richie is so underrated
I wish I could play that 12 string 1 third as good as Richie.
Sambora looks great looks like he's ready to go to work I heard John's album it totally sucked let's see if Richie is ready. Too give one two punch of rock and roll lets go get em RICHIE.

Beautiful sounding 12-string Musser!
You naysayers need to chill. Richie's got so freakin' much talent and personality it's almost criminal. Great to see him on Norm's channel.
Richie is the funniest guy he knows.
Didn't know he split with Orianthi... glad to see he's recording a new album with Bob Rock though!
Ричи гениальный. Ему нет равных.
Damn that guitar sounds great!!
NEW MUSIC FROM RICHIE, OH MY GOD YES
Thanks for the info on which 12 string acoustic!!
That guitar sounds rad
Gimme the new album already!
It's good to see him.
BJ have lost a soul man on guitar.

@@goodearssrock6902 I don't blame anybody. I know that stuff. All I was saying is that Richie had a huge part in the band. Thats all
Richie es un ser hermoso, puro talento!!! 🔥💗
I love richies playing
They got an extra member & producer named Bob. They made a black album and it soared up the charts.
But the band was forever broken . . . .
It was broken when a tour bus broke it. Bob and the Black album was just a footnote compared to that.
Gavin Johnson
.....AJFA was a great album. That’s where they end for me⚖️
No
Thanks for sharing! Can't wait for more Sambora gold... and with Bob Rock, how can you go wrong?!? Big job to top 'Aftermath Of The Lowdown' - best release in decades!
"With Bob Rock how can you go wrong?!?" Check out an album called "St. Anger" and get back to me...
@@SimpleManGuitars1973 Are you one of those who were disappointed not to get "The Black Album Part II" from MetallicA ?
@@NicholasCorvin No. I was more disappointed to not get another ...And Justice For All.
Just his name sounds legend, even if he hadn't made all those masterpieces, like Bob Rock !
Great vid. Saw Bon Jovi just over 10 years ago, HP Pavillion. Richie on board. I was my Wife's hero for a minute. Bought "Stranger In Town" way back. Heck, almost forgot i had it ;)
The greatest album ever. The whole thing is strong, not a weak track to be found. The Answer kills me every time I hear it.
Hey Richie, i got exactly the same cap as yours, my aunt once gave it to me as a present ,back in the day when she came back home from taihland,
Rock and Hyde....Dirty Water....search it up. Good tune!
In my opinion, Bob Rock's greatest recording work was engineering the first three LOVERBOY albums.
Fantastic ATC speakers there in the background!!!
Your a legend richie
Bob Rock look really tired and Mr Sambo look more enthusiasm
Rock on Richie !!!!!!
2 legends
That’s an awesome home studio
Sounds like these guys been up for days, but that guitar is a cannon! Norm is awkward sometimes too lol. My buddy...
If Kemper is enough for Sambora and Bob Rock, it's enough for everyone.... Kemper rocks!
St Anger was good enough for Bob too. Just sayin.
Sambora solo album! YES!
4:11 Into the great wide open . RIP Tom Petty..
Norm. Huge HAM. His videos are great.
Bob, I love your work with 311!
There's my first choice to produce a record.
Bob is the real deal.
That has to be the cleanest sharpest sounding guitar I've ever heard
Wish i can hug you richie in person and taking picture with you..❤️❤️❤️🥺

Good to see Richie healthy again.
Massive respect for Richie and I hope people close to him are looking out for him. Not nice to see him like this.
What exactly is wrong with him in your opinion?
I woke up or something at 4min47. The same feeling as i read a book and suddently ask myself if i was reading.
Each time Richie makes a joke he looks at bob rock for approval. Be confident young blood, you got it going on. You sound better than most, even when hammered.
Pretty Cool, we need a new Sambora Album.
Cool to see Bob !

Great Guitar player and a great guy
Sambora is such a cool genuine bloke
Who may or may not have been under the influence of ‘medication’. Look at his eyes, listen to his voice, the man is not clean & sober. Coke? Alcohol? Who knows but that’s not a man who is clean. He needs to get sorted and learn how to live clean if he wants to live a long & happy life.
And he plays gigs for Norm's favourite charity, The Midnight Mission to help those with alcohol/drug problems, kinda ironic really.
