Thank you this was extremely helpful. I swear your teachings have been the basis for my knowledge over the years. This even applies to non human characters who are still following the charming cartoon style. :)
Awesome tutorial! Love the simplicity of this approach and how fast it can improve your models' eyes. You have a talent in showing complex things fast & easy 👍 P.S. and your work on artstation is amazing!
Hello there! I'm an aspiring texture artist and I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Your work is incredibly beautiful. I look forward to seeing more of it in the future.
Wow!!! How I wish you could create a tutorial on how you create a complete stylized character but not in timelapse.. That would really help us a lot.. Thanks!!!
this was a great help to me. I did my masking on the front on the eyelid because we have that little area of flesh on the under side that i didn't want to cover. but I may go back and do it more like your way if that turns out looking like shit. Overall, it's a great video that I'm using as a starting point to not work exactly like you lol
helped a little, but when you say your doing something and then just use a shortcut on your keyboard, thats not a lot of help to us newbs. Was listening to what you was saying and following your mouse but the mouse didn't move, yet actions was happening. thanks for this little bit I did learn though.
Hi, first off big fan, of both your tutorials and artwork! Quick question, about the tablet that you link in the description, how is the quality and fidelity of it overall in comparison to a Cintiq? I know it's a common question, but as someone who always wanted a cintiq, but unfortunately don't have the funds to purchase one anytime soon, I would like your opinion on this as an alternative. THANKS!
The tablet is fine imo, but I place a lot of value on being able to put pen to screen. If I was able to use an intuos without issue then I would probably stick with that since this can have software hiccups every now and again (eg loss of pressure). But for such a smaller price I place this tablet somewhere between intuos and cintiq. If it helps, I'm glad I bought it, but one day I'll be rocking the Cintiq! :)
Hmm, one thing you can do is make sure the focal shift is dragged all the way to the left, this will give you a crisper edge. But what I will say is it's not really necessary for this since when you remesh you clean that up anyway :)
Firstly, that model is beautiful. Secondly, this tutorial is GREATLY appreciated!
thanks man! :D And no problem!
Thanks for taking the time to put these tuts together, I know it takes time an effort, and it's highly appreciated. Love your style btw :)
