- Wait, didn't they already do a NERF FORTNITE SMG? Well, here's a ZESTY version! That's...completely different. It's a springer. And the shell isn't even remotely the same. It's painted well. It's actually super comfy and nice and I might be in love but it's still a NERF Fortnite blaster... so the SMG-ZESTY is pretty SPICY.

What are the best nerf dart types to use with magazine springers that are accurate? What about the regulator? Maverick/disruptor? Etc...
I’m a bit sad because Nerf made a literal SMG into a springer.
The shell is too small for a conventionally sized flywheel cage, so if FTW were to make a Zesty mod, they'd use Micro motors

If I’m going to pay premium price for a less tactical retaliator, I want it as accurate as possible.

Honestly I think it’s a good reskin of the retaliator, especially considering the retaliator has been discontinued
@@michaelfinlay1412 If we compare everything to the nexus pro and aeon pro every single channel would be boring as hell. Let hasbro have this one. The SMG-ZESTY is pretty rad. Maybe not totally worth it, but if I was 8 I'd have killed for something like this.

more and more fortnite blasters are getting used legitimately in our hobby (first the six shooter, thanks to gavinfuzzy’s 9shot snub nose kit and now this.) pretty crazy.

Not high capacity and not very modible but scenic the strongarm, disruptor ,and hammershot are discontinued (outside of Amazon) I think this and all of the fortnite pistols are very good in practically,same with the IR scence it’s just a stryfe but with attachments

More specifically it's an MP5SD chambered in a 50 Beowulf/5.56 or 7.62x39 hybrid cartridge.
And I’m pretty sure, with the base mag, is chambered in 9x19mm parabellum, if I’m not mistaken.

I came across this channel randomly a week ago and I have watched so many episodes already. I never knew how big the Nerf community was. So much cheaper than my airsoft hobby. Makes me wonder if there is another dimension where I got into this instead.

It’s a freaking MP5 that can be used in different variations like the MP5K, and MP5SD for examples, also you can do the HK Slap.

You should look at it from the point of a ten year old child, then it makes more sense. Let's face it, as kids we all loved stuff that was, objectively speaking, absolute crap. But if it looked and sounded cool, we wanted it. Right up until something else came out, and we resented having the "old" stuff. 😂
Paint black > mod to shoot half-lengths > play with it outside > get shot by police officer.
I have nothing against police officers, this post is to point out the stupidity of painting a toy gun black and then playing with it in public.

To be honest, they should have made this short dart flywheeler, would of looked a fair bit better if they did.
Always remember it should be fun. I bought one a few weeks ago here in Australia. Mine is hitting slightly harder than yours. I enjoy the asthetic and it is fun to plink around the house with. If these were around when I was 10 then I would have gone nuts for it but I have also orders the nerf m41A pulse rifle for that sort of reason.

The last shot of the waffle darts is better because of what causes the issue in the first place. Its the same issue the Mediator has had for me. The head is thick enough at the very tip that the mag spring can push it up a little, rubbing on the dart that's currently in the breech, leading to jams and poor performance. The mediator has it the worst because the gap at the front when the breech is closed is larger than average in that blaster, letting those heads rub more. The last dart in the mag works best then, because there is no dart underneath to rub on it.
Im hoping a Delta Trooper Stefan Kit from Worker fits, because getting OOD Taichi Mags into this thing? Now that's beautiful.

Watching the video until the end because you want really good info on the blaster is cool, but watching the video until the end because of that sweet sweet outro music is top tier. Also some reviews said they were having a weird issue with firing where the top slide shifts out of place.
It makes me think of a kidified Warhammer Bolter.
Dart Zone ruby darts, ember darts or bamboo darts have a narrower head than the body of the dart. Waffle heads don't have this the head is as wide as the dart body so depending on the blaster the rubber head will cause friction in the barrel which may be the cause of them going less far than the Elite darts, which also have a narrow head. Though honestly I don't know if the friction is even a problem here or only with tighter barrels like compression barrels.

I hate fortnite with every cell in my body, but the gun design with nerf just fits well.
I get the wrap issue. I love the creative colour schemes but I would also like to have a matching set of Fortnite blasters. Perhaps release a blaster once in a flat colour (white, green, blue, purple, yellow) then again in funky wrap flavour. Or we could crack open the spray paint and decorate them ourselves

Looks more like an Hk-53 given the size of the magazine.
Supposedly internals are similar to a Delta Trooper or Echo. It manages to not have the "buffer tube" stock attachment that most springers have simply by having a much shorter plunger rod that doesn't need to stick out the back. Retaliator springs and other existing mods for magazine fed springers should be able to fit inside.
Even if it's an smg, But they said nah, it's a springer now, I actually like how it looks, and it has a nice 10 rounds banana mag.
I like the way this thing looks and works, i look forward to eventually buying one.

I have this thing and I LOVE IT, but the darts can't make it through the suppressor without darts getting stuck in it... this only happens with the suppressor on

MP5 chambered in 5.56 or rather the .50 Beowulf because that's which bullet the Nerf darts look most like.
This is like tf2 sniper secondary smg.
It looks more like an MP5SD due to the smooth receiver, the lack of a gas tube above the barrel, and the lack of a significantly chunky foregrip under the barrel (although the SD does have a thin one as well.)
I mean, no MP5 is gas operated in the first place...
I would mod it to take half darts then paint it black

Honestly the SMG was my go-to gun in Fortnite. Fast rate of fire and reliable in close quarters. Maybe that's why it has such short range? I hope there's a Lipo-battery mod coming soon for this thing.

The hk53 was an mp5 with a 5.56 mag (aka the size of a long dart)

I bought this for my brother for Christmas last year and we only used it once before the springer mechanism broke on us. I’ve looked it up and that’s a big issue it has so be wary if you purchase it.
Have you seen American Foam's review on this blaster if you have you'll know why Im a bit mixed on whether to get this or not but for the most part probably not

well the mp5 didnt have any rails so ye and the forgrip thing probably didnt spell that right but the forgrip is longer
Slap a better stock and front barrel on, regular banana mag, decent coat a paint, got yourself a really nice blaster honestly
