The first car .. running 12s but 2 parachutes and full exhaust... pro mod car 299 mph. Top Fuel cars reving at the starting line... pretty much all I needed to see... maybe in another 15 years some other company might take a shot at a drag racing game

Awesome concept but a severe lack of customization. If you’re gonna make a drag racing game you need to let us build our own promod/pro street muscle cars. Like an old challenger or charger.
These mfers look like they made a car with challenger headlights and charger taillights and mustang bulbs inside the charger taillights or something 😂😂
I agree maybe they will have dlc (doubtful). This game should also have Ray tracing and be the best looking game ever made think about it all they’re rendering is two cars a stadium and some people it’s not that big of an environment.

This game would be great if they actually made something exactly like this with all cars in the world to choose and build from make it like a reality best believe most petrol heads or gear heads would love the game if we was able to choose and customize any car from the world and building it like life make it a dream for us who cant afford it in reality

Graphics terrible, driving terrible, A.I terrible, comedic visuals like reving nitro cars on the start line, flames shooting out in the day like its night. Missing track features. In car visuals wrong. List goes on. This is just off the top of my head.

Got this on the Switch - I'm not too big of a fan of the throttle being like an on/off switch with no pressure sensitivity. Can anyone tell me whether the PS4 version allows for pressure sensitivity? For example, when i do a burnout, I want to be at 1/4 or 1/2 throttle, not full throttle or NO throttle...
Also, is the split screen available on PS4? i may just get it on the system and keep the switch version for when i travel.
I'd say theirs some sensitivity in throttle not enough tho imo and split screen is side by side only
@@LowDollarDude I agree... got the ps4 version as well, it certainly needs more of a threshold. I don't mind a side by side split screen, but my issue here is that, it didn't seem to work..for some reason my ps4 didnt recognize the controller input on that one particular screen...

Now I have got to say when it comes to the graphics is very detailed this is I appreciate them game Mill for this game but it is it does not represent NHRA well the cars do not crash every run which if you get the funny car on this game you will see that for no reason any reason at all the car just crash you ain't done nothing or if you touch the steering wheel the car crashes blows up tears up everything that's not how drag racing runs most of the runs in drag racing today are uneventful game meal doesn't represent that

The game play is like csr racing lmao. Why cant someone make a legit drag racing game. Include no prep, let you build any car with many motor swaps, or let you put on nitrous, turbo, supercharger, real tuning, not just gears and suspension.
The old Burnout game was still my favorite.

The ps2 version looks better than this. This is trash I wish NHRA actually looked into the people making this game they made literally a monster jam game that looks awful and decided hey they look good enough to make a car game. If they would've actually spent some money on good developers like people who make forza motorsport or even the need for speed guys like c'mon this is just ass.
The engines sound horrible! Nothing like the real cars! Sounds like grand turismo game back in the day.

The NHRA game from ps2 was so better. The new game doesn’t even remotely compare to how good that games was. There was amazing customization and tuning. Definitely disappointed how nhra handles the license. The gaming studio who produced it isn’t known for amazing games.

To be honest anyone who loves drag racing can honestly see this is some hot garbage they should have let someone other than gamemill make it everyone see how they fugged up the street outlaws games I would still play countdown to the championship and drag racing 2 on ps2 to be honest 🤦🏿♂️

I've been waiting for a decent drag racing experience. Unfortunately, from what have seen this option completely missed the mark. There is no wheel support and the car physics are lacking.
This game is an embarrassment to the Nhra, ps2 graphics are better no customization at all really, not even all the tracks are on there, you don’t get a season mode like in real time, I haven’t seen a car I went against go over 300 mph in funny car or dragster, looks like an iPhone game, the controls are touchy asf. That’s just some of the things they need to work on
Crazy just how terrible this game is compared to the Nhra games back in the early 2000s which was so realistic
Doesn’t look that bad. Sure has some issues but it could be worse. Have a drag racing game on my phone that is kinda like with this with revving the engine when staging but it’s still a really good game

I second this. I wish I could play the old NHRA countdown to the finish on Xbox one.
There hasn't been a good Drag Race game since the 90's with Bethesda's Hot Rod Championship drag racing. You could import YOUR actual engine specs and tweak real world data from Dyno 2000 into the game and use YOUR real car dynamics in the game. I had my game car duplicating my real drag car and I could try parts on my game car before sinking money into my real car. Racing the AI was incredible and online was a blast. I begged Bethesda to upgrade the graphics to keep up with the graphic advancements and the loss of 3dfx Voo Doo cards as there was zero problems with the game itself. What we got was the IHRA Motorsports game that looked more cartoonie than the first game and they NEVER fixed the bugs.
They couldn't even get proper vehicle license. So many things wrong with this game. I wonder how much Game Mill paid this guy?

Been sim racing and real racing for more than twenty years. More than 2000 hours a year on just one racing game. Racing is life for me. I'd have to take a hard pass on this one. It's like the people that built the game never even worked on any car, much less raced one of any class. It's embarrassingly bad. I'd be pissed if I shelled out fifty bucks for this game. I wouldn't even pay twenty bucks for it.
If I catch it on sale or sumn for like $20 I'll buy it for sumn to play jus to pass time but they dropped the ball with this jus like they did with street outlaws & these games had so much potential to good games

No cars other than Top Fuel Dragsters and Top Fuel Funny Cars go over 280 mph. Your Pro Modified car is doing 299. The record for a Pro Mod car is 261 mph. This game is screwed up already.

I am the physics programmer for that game. And you know what input/requirements we got? None. I'm French/Dutch. I don't have a driver's license because bikes exist. NHRA is so American, it makes zero sense to us. But we do what we can. I talked with NHRA in person. What are your Pacejka parameters? Can't tell. If you want a redneck game, just don't ask a European studio to develop it, ok... We can't invent Drag Racing. We can't drive. We shouldn't have been hired for that.

Truthfully for a new $50-$80 game the graphics aren't the greatest. I feel like you were really giving the game a stunning review because they sponsored you and that's how you get future promotions. I mean heck something simple as glass on buildings aren't even reflective, no actual car brands, parachutes are oversized and useless and you can't drive into the sand trap if you wanted, sketchy engine sounds, blurry vegetation, poor 3D NPC models, cheap particle physics, etc I could list more but this comment is long enough as it is. Might be a fun game to pass an hour or two if it goes on sale for a decent price, but it's still shovelware.
