One thing I’ve learnt from these silly Red Bull challenges is that Yuki has this insane natural ability, he’s really quick in anything pretty much instantly
Precisely. Yuki is raw speed. He has great feel for cars. He is a driver’s driver. But unfortunately his racing and consistency isn’t on the same level. He should defintely take the red bull seat though. Liam hasn’t shown enough to have earned that spot yet. Yuki needs the chance, and if he fails, Lawson will be ready. This is what Red Bull needs, to kickstart the driver revolving door.
This, THIS is the stuff that should bring motorsport fans together. No "F1 is better" or "NASCAR is better" bs. Both and every other motorsport on this planet can be awesome and unique in their own respective ways. Edit: Should've known there'd be people misunderstanding the point. If you claim to agree with me, but then you follow it up "F1 is still better anyway." Then you actually don't agree with me. When I mean every motorsport is unique in their own respective ways, I mean they're all too different to be considered 'better' than one another. They. Are. All. Incomparable. And if any Formula 1 fans use the "well F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport!" then you ESPECIALLY don't agree and be immediately shown the door. Any motorsports are the pinnacle something. The big audience and big bucks is what Formula 1 has most. I would probably be into Formula 1 more if the fanbase wasn't a bunch of elitists.

i watch both. I’d say F1 has worse racing product right now and it’s obvious. NASCAR’s oval product at 200 mph inches apart is way better than an F1 field, seconds apart. NASCAR is longer by a large margin of most being 3 or 4 hours, and F1 being about 2 hours, the experience at F1 races is way too expensive, to not even see anything at all. the experience at NASCAR races, are like football games, pricey, but manageable. and you can see the entire racetrack! (Comparing Daytona International Speedway, and the Miami street circuit) I love F1 but it’s not better than NASCAR.
New Zealand has a lot of roads that are gravel which young guys love to speed on especially in rural areas. I have no doubt that Liam would have had some fun on those roads
Another thing to remember. In actual dirt racing there is no mirrors or spotters. You go off of sound of the other cars. Although I understand why they had spotters for this.
Corner entry and exit are CRUCIAL in oval track racing. You can sacrifice entry for more momentum down the straight to set up for a divebomb into the next corner, or sacrifice exit speed for an aggressive entry. There are also multiple racing lines that constantly shift as the track develops over the course of a race, with some drivers excelling at running the wall and others good at ripping the bottom.
