The show is completely different.
The movie is basically what the creator wanted the show to be and in some ways the film did some things better but of course it was rushed because it’s a movie. Ladybug & Chat Noir’s relationship as themselves and their hero egos are what people keep coming back to watch more episodes. They call the dynamics “the Love Square.” Because they see each other as different people, they have different dynamics that cause people to ship these specific relationships. Adrienette is Marinette & Adrien as themselves while Ladynoir is the ship between Ladybug & Chat Noir. (My favorite). I think they’re their most selves when they interact as heroes.

@@GalaxyGeeks Yeah! The fandom does acknowledge they’re the same people and just want them to be together/tell each other their identities which is why the film did what fans wanted for years! Also you guys reaction on saying “Just tell her who you are” at 33:42 is the fandom in a nutshell. Lol
The one that made the movie was Jeremy Zag, the owner of the company that produces Miraculous. This is his version. The actual creator of the show is the one that made the series, Thomas Astruc. But since Jeremy owns Miraculous, he was able to made this.

The whole reason they didn't reveal their identity (and this was clearer in the show) was because, if they had a strong enough negative emotion, one of them could be akumatized, then easily go after the other partner, revealing the identities of both heroes to Hawkmoth. They wanted to make sure they had the butterfly miraculous back from Hawkmoth before they knew each other's identities
If you couldn't put up with them for not revealing their identities for less than 2 ours,just wait until you watch the show...😂😂(if you do watch it of course)

It's worth mentioning that this movie isn't canon to the actual show. It's basically a retelling of a two-part episode in season 1 called Ladybug and Cat Noir Origins. This movie is set in its own universe with its own canon. So if you decide to watch the show, keep that in mind

If you think the ending was dark, you will be depressed by watching the series. this doesn't even comes close to how dark miraculous actually is.
The movie is basically the 5 seasons that are summed up so far, so for people who watch it without having seen the show first it can be very confusing, basically the movie was made for fan-service, to give the fans what they wanted and that the show took 5 seasons and 8 years to make, to see the show in its correct order you have to follow the list of episodes broadcast in France if I remember correctly since netflix has them scrambled and in disarray, the show does not has such a good visual quality it's quite good in terms of the plot, the villains of the movie don't appear in the series except for the mime and the main villain hawk moth, but the mime of the show and the movie are different in background issues, but they do have the same powers, also change the visual of the powers of Ladybug and Cat Noir, Ladybug in all chapters creates an object with her power to defeat the villain of the chapter and Cat Noir simply destroys what he touches with his power (that does not change but his power looks different), only that, ah an the show is super long since each season has between 25 and 26 chapters and three more seasons (6, 7 and 8) are planned, since the series ended with a very open ending ☺☺☺

The animated series and the movie are completly separated from one another. They are like two versions of the same thing. The series is the original stuff and was directed by the actual creator of the show, Thomas Astruc. The movie, on the other hand, was created by the owner of the company that produces Miraculous, Jeremy Zag. It is the series seen through another perspective. However, if you decide to start watch the series, you will soon enough see the many differences between it and the movie.
The TV show DOES have some more lore, albeit stretched out across five seasons of what is 90% self-contained monster-of-the-week episodes. Strangely for the scope, it doesn't REALLY have the character development you're asking for, and it ends the story about Adrien and Gabriel VERY differently. It's mostly just silly action-comedy that hits the reset button at the end of every episode and is very good at that, but watching it for the story is bound to leave you frustrated.
You should totally give the show a chance,the first season is pretty much filler but it's worth watching,but dw when season 2 starts the lore and the plot gets so much better!And also the show is not finished there are gonna be 8 seasons,we only have 5 for now.
The show does gives a lot of background, season 1 more of an intro, season 2-3 answers some questions, while seasons 4-5 close it all together to sum it up. Yea the identity reveal is a bit slow burn, it the show explains why its like that in certain eps. Highly recommend that you watch😊😊😊

Them not knowing is the biggest arc in the show. It’s also the most irritating, the writers show them knowing a few different times and then go back to not knowing. The show goes in to a lot more detail, the five seasons is less than one school year.
If y’all think is really dark just wait until y’all watch the show the show is more dark then the movie and at season 5 is the best season from the show and maybe the darkest but I love the show bc of the characters and I love how the save Paris and it’s really fun to watch too
The butterflies start out white, then he corrupts them purple. When Ladybug frees the victim and purifies the butterfly, it turns white again. Its all in the TV show. Good TV show with a few good spin offs. They wrapped up S5 but S6 and S7 are already greenlit so..we'll see what happens.
The movie was vary rushed and it truly dosen't have to much to do based off the show. The movie was shown from the perspective of the creator of the characters (Jeremy zag) and the show is made by (Thomas astruct) the characters are different in the show with how they act mari is shy but not like in this and Adrien is emo in the movie compared to the show. They don't reveal there identitys to echother in the show and in the movie till the end bc they defeat hawkmoth so its safe to reveal. bc in the show it could be a risk due to the fact that hawkmoth could acumatize one of them if they feel "negative emotion" then one of them is under hawkmoths control and they can tell him who the holder of the other gem is. There are definitely somethings that they gloss over in the movie that I wish they would have given more screen time 😂

It was supost to be a movie not connected to the show but you really need the background story to understand what's going on truly they gloss over his mom and she's a big factor in the show. And Adrien is a cinnamon roll boy who loves everyone. when he came out of the library calling mari "weird" it was the twilight zone bc in the show he would never say that to anyone.
Cristina Vee's who voices Marinette/ Ladybug didn't sing in the movie, but on her TH-cam channel she did sing them. She has an amazing voice!

The whole white butterfly thing is how Hawkmoth's miraculous works. He needs the butterflies to travel to potential villains to make them evil. Usually he promises to "help" them by helping him. It makes more sense in the French version as he is called Papillon (Butterfly) but English people probably wouldn't be intimidated by that so they changed it to Hawkmoth.

You think Gabriel was terrible in the movie? He was horrifically worse in the show, he ends up locking his son away in some insane asylum room
Something yall mentioned in the movie how they already knew each other for a while so it wouldve been safe to reveal their identities, however the series has a good 2-3 episodes mainly focusing on them revealing their identities and ending up dating eachother, however their love and knowledge of their identities ends up catastrophic, causing them to either lose their Miraculous, or get akumatized destroying paris entirely and killing ladybug and everyone in paris, splitting the moon in half....yeah the shows wild

If you decide to watch the series, you have to be attentive of the order you watch. With the first season, the order is not that much important, since most episodes are self-centered. However, starting season 2, you need to watch the episodes in a especific order to better understand them. The best order is the production order, considered to be the most perfect one. As long you follow it, there will not be that much confusion. The only thing that may confuse you is the timeline. Since seaason 1 was made to test the viability of the show, the timeline got all mixed up and it's full of contradictions. All you need to know is the first 5 seasons happen during an entire French school year (from September to July)
I advise you to follow season 1 in order anyway.

You definitely should watch the series cause there’s a lot of things you missed. The show is different from this movie and I personally kinda of liked it but it was rushed so if you didn’t watch the series it wouldn’t make sense. One thing that kinda triggered me was the singing for Marinette because the original voice actor can sing in character voice which through me off. And their mask are magic and keeps their identities a secret. A lot of people complain cause it’s obvious but that’s just part of the magic the Kwamis give them. I would enjoy seeing you two react to the show though and everything will eventually make sense.

I'd really recommend checking the show. There are still a lot of things u need to discover abt that world (they are diff universes tho). The ending is a lot different in the show, a lot more miraculouses to explore, there is much more lore in the show.
The biggest downfall of the show is that it takes them very long to tell that story ( due to the first season and some episodes from other seasons being largely episodic bcs of some restriction Disney put on Zag)

I love this show because there is a lot of Acton and it’s also a love story, I wouldn’t recommend for children under seven ish because it has some kissing, love stories, and panic attacks scattered throughout the series but he animation is really good.

I am a huge fan. I love miraculous because it is full of love and and Mayonnaise. And Adrian, a.k.a. Ladybug and cat Neware so cute together. The movie is incredible. And I love all the specials and it is edge of the seat show. It's just so awesome!!!!!!!🤩🤩😍

I still can’t get over the fact that they didn’t let Christina Vee sing. It sounds so out of place.
The movie wasn't the best but it was cute and fun,also people enjoy it more if they watch the show,you should totally give it a chance it's different from the movie but in my opinion it's better,and the show version is also the original story.And if you want to watch it (the show) i recommend starting with the origins episodes (the movie's version of the origins isn't the original) it will make more sense because the origins were placed at the end of season 1 and we don't know why,so yeah i hope you'll enjoy it!

Chat noir and Ladybug are actually not supposed to know who each other are. The magic from the kwami's (otherwise known as quantum masking) prevents the identities from ever being revealed unless the superheros de-transform
Ladybug also did something called deakumatizations where her yoyo can change butterflies from akumas to normal butterflies so that it cannot spread or duplicate
Its all magic related so somethings cannot really be explained scientifically
This show is the best show they could ever be. Yes, you might have not understood the movie because the show had a lot of the stuff in it like the butterflies on the butterflies. Get evil put into them by hawkmoth and the scene where you guys were confused by the white butterflies, are ladybugs, magic, yo-yo reverse them to evil to good so they were normal butterflies again not evil I recommend you guys watching the show it’s so good I am addicted to it and I’m 18 years old that says something
Lou did a good job on doing Marinettes voice for the singing parts and Cristina vee is the real voice of marinette dupan-cheng

Well the show is actually pretty different from the Movie. Gabriel being Hawkmoth is a twist at first, and Fu doesn't show up until the finale of Season one. The Movie basically worked 131 episodes into a way more coherrent story. The pacing off the original show is incredibly slow and they stretch out that little will they, won't they dynamic frustratingly long.
I like ladybucket rocket as ladybug. Because I like how Adrian is cat in the war. But catn't a word like sleepy bug. And ladybug likes Adrian
So basically that thing with their identities is a little Annoying but it was Explained in The New York special movie
that Their Miraculous have some magic that confuses Human minds into thinking that It's not them
And honestly me as a Guy who has watched the show this movie is good i would give it like 7/10 it has a lot of Jokes for Younger Fanbase or Corny jokes

I honestly love the movie and the show is all around fun and super good. It maybe a little cheesy and kid friendly, but it’s one of my few favourite shows and I would so recommend watching if you love superheroes and want to try a new show. But the movie is separate from the show, so it’s not cannon it’s in its own universe.

In the series it's explained in a 60min special episode that their superhero outfits is ment to confuse human minds, and that is
basically why the don't recognize each other as a superhero even tho it's super obvious lol. It makes sense since their outfits are magic.
The Miraculous create a "glamour," so they can't tell who each other are. You definitely need to watch the show from the beginning. You won't be sorry.

I hope you guys decide to watch the show. It's a pretty great journey of starting as something formulaic and childish and gradually turning into something deep and complex
The show explains that the masks are magic and cannot be removed and they obscure their identities. Multiple people try to rip off the masks to no avail and people can’t tell that Ladybug is Marinette evee wen if she’s standing right next to a picture of Ladybug.
Thus movie actually went through at least 2 seasons since I think they out their identities in season 5.
I used to watch the show cuz I enjoyed the shipping but then it became obvious that Marinette was being written by a creepy 40 year old man who thinks it’s ok the break and enter and sniff your crushes stuff without their knowledge.
I haven’t seen this movie yet. What will you watch next week?

They don't recognize each other because the magic in their Miraculous confuses the mind and helps hide their identities
As a long time fan I liked this movie but there are some big problems I have with it.
1.
It's too rushed. They besically cramped 5 seasons into 1 movie.
2.
A lot of things aren't explained. Like, why don't they just reveal their identities to each other? Why don't they just give Hawkmoth their Miraculous to make a wish? All of this was explained in the show but not here? Why?
3.
And the biggest one of all... WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO PLAGG? Like, he's the most interesting Kwami in the show! He doesn't know how to show his emotions but he tries in his own way, he's selfish but cares about Adrien and wants him to be happy and HERE they made him into a FREAKING FART joke?!
So yeah... I have some issues with this movie but overall, it's good.
If you guys are so annoyed by this, you would be annoyed to no end with the show.

Well because it was supposed to be a superhero movie and also the series are way better that’s why I give the movie a B minus and a half mostly just because now there’s more mysteries in the series like the ending like they’re gonna give us a lot more mysteries, but I think that more of the villains are going to show up again like in the first seasons, and who knows what else will happen but the movies pretty good too the only reason to give it a B minus and a half is because it was actually supposed to be a better life action version like the 2019 live action, Christopher Robin movie or goodbye, Christopher Robin. I know that was another good one even though it’s been a long time since I have seen them

The movie and the series are not related to each other. While the movie is inspired on the series, it also works on more previous scrapped concepts and it's written by Jeremy Zag, the producer of the brand. The series is instead written by Thomas Astruc, the creator of the concept.
Zag rewrote bit parts of lore too, aside characters, so you will find plenty of differences at the end.
Personally I wouldn't recommend the show to you. While it has more space to stretch things, that's most it does.
It stretches and stretches but there's no actual proper and gradual development in the characters and it drags itself with a lot of pretenses of retcons. It also has questionable moralism, especially with season 5 finale.
While I don't doubt for some it can be more interesting due to the additional elements of lore introduced, it barely really dwelve into them.
You get more restrictions and limits with their powers, but they're hugely unbalanced between Chat Noir and Ladybug, especially with how they're dynamic is treated. Similarly, the romantic development of the characters is basically built by contant gags that bring no where, with characters getting together without knowing each other properly or having barely any genuine conversation. Everytime there seem to be an actual improvement in the way they interact (not talking about the relationship status) they revert to stage 1.
The abuse plotline is very much a thing in the show, but it's also excused a lot in problematic ways. Season 5 basically shoves in a lot of things without the proper build-up, while there are a lot of lore elements that are totally lacking.
Also, don't expect Adrien to be more developed in the show. The movie was actually a HUGE improvement in both him, Gabriel and Marinette.
The movie will have two confirmed sequels so perhaps you might find there what you seeked here!
However, of course that's just my view, if you start the show I wish you to have a good watch!

The movie and the show has nothing to do with eachother. The movie takes place in it’s own timeline. Also the movie is much better than the show.
I do recommend watching the show. I started watching when I was 15/16 and I still love it, despite not growing up with it. It’s really good, though frustrating at times with the love square 😂 but there’s a lot of relatable characters and imo, there’s someone for everyone to like. It develops Gabriel/Hawkmoth as a villain better than the movie and the relationships between characters. Still love the movie and the soundtrack has been on repeat since I watched it!
I'm warning you: Don't watch the show! Listen to me, I'm saving you from the countless cringiness, frustration and bias Thomas has made to the series. Just watch the movie version, Jeremy Zag write it better than Asstruc.
If you think this is upsetting then you should try being a fan of the show and having to deal with 5 seasons of this romance back and forth stuff. The show is WAY worse when it comes to this.

Eeeew nooroo sounds so weird. Sounds feminine. Pretty sure even as the Kwamis supposed to be gender neutral other than the obvious two, nooroo was depicted as male and duusuu was female
