The problem with Twitter is that it is filled with teenagers who haven't grown up yet and have zero life experience, twenty-somethings who grew up on Twitter and think it is everything, and adults who see the tweets from these others and think that's what the majority thinks because they are so vocal (not realising they are just immature ignorant kids). I never actually saw it, but I get the guy's general point. So many shows and remakes I've seen have been woke and they're god-awful. The Little Women remake and Anne With An E on Netflix, 2 examples that come to mind - ugh just dreadful stuff. Completely undermining the originals and forcing modern feminist talking points into the mouths of their female protagonists that those characters NEVER would have said at the time. (I'm a feminsist and it was incredibly annoying, a betrayal of those characters who were radical /in their time!/) It's the a-historical approach and jettisoning of any personality from the originals to make them all cookie cutter woke modern feminism that has just poisoned me on all of it. Dr Who suffered the same fate, Star Wars, etc. All personality gone.
