I'm planning to retire in 5 years, but I'm already planning my move to SE Asia, specifically Thailand. I know that's still a long way off, but I would love to work with you guys to see if the Thai Elite Visa is for me.
Thank you for the video. I really like the Thai elite visa, but unfortunately it is financially too stressful for me, so right now I use a Philippine retirement visa, which just requires that I place $10,000 into a Philippine bank with very minor filing fees. The advantage for me is I get to keep my $10,000 USD and I can visit Thailand twice a year for two 60 day stays using the 30 day tourist extension option. It costs about $300 per round-trip flight twice a year from the Philippines to Thailand. This gives me 120 days a year in Thailand, while I base myself out of the Philippines. No the Philippines are in no way Thailand, but this way, I get to spend some time in Thailand, while waiting for a more permanent retirement visa opportunity in Thailand but I’m not very hopeful being that Thailand is such a popular location. Thank you again for the video and keeping everybody updated on the Thai elite Visa.
It might be in the beachfront areas like phuket and Pattaya, but I go out to the Northeast Issan area. It is nothing but farms and rice fields. I love it.

If I get the Elite visa, am I allowed to get a 1 way ticket to Thailand, and how ?
Some airlines won’t let you just buy a 1 way ticket.
Yes you only need a 1 way flight. The Elite visa does not require a return flight exiting Thailand 👍

What Elite visa are available? Do you still have to go to immigration every year to renew even for the multi year elite visas?

So as an individual you can still apply for 5 yr Elite after June 15?

The recent elections have me worried about the Elite Visa program, generally. Waiting to learn more.
The Elite visa is issued under the Tourism Authority of Thailand, so we don't expect there will be any changes to programs.
