If you haven't watched it, see the short video "KZ Tandingan Meets Jessie J", where she mentions her vocal cord problems, and how Jessie J was a big inspiration. There was a funny Singer 2018 backstage video with Jessie J cooking for KZ and Hua Chenyu, and KZ saying "Mom, Im going to be late for school", but somebody deleted the sound. There is still one called " KZ X Hua Chenyu Best Moments in Singer 2018 - TH-cam ". (People were pushing the theory that they were having an affair).

"Vocal acrobatic" -- this is very apt when describing KZ's performances. Hers is always a simultaneous attack on any song she does. She admitted that she always practices her songs prior to a performance, but you can see that there are always twists that she does to a song, whether it's a cover or her own original song, right when she is performing on stage already. That's her style, and she always amazes, because she is so in tune (no pun intended) to music that she doesn't go off pitch. Or if she ever did go off tune, it may be so minute it's never been noticeable.
