I didn't think I was gonna love the hell out of this song. I've played it probably 50 times already. It's rapidly become one of my SoI favorites. I'm glad this is more deathcore than death metal sounding. I was concerned they were not gonna slam with breakdowns anymore. But Chris and Bryce both assured me on Instagram that they aren't abandoning their deathcore roots.
If you watch Bryce Butler drumming videos that's exactly how he drums HAHA! effortless wand waving in that exact posture, but always with a big smile on his face! He's a beaut
It was an ok song to me. I like their more death metal sound they were went for on Elegy. This album will probably be a mix of their earlier and newer stuff.
one thing about shadow of intent they are certainly transcending death core and what it can be. Almost to a point where they probably won't even be a death core band anymore. I can totally see them going more of a more melodic death metal band.
Honestly, this track didn't capture me like anything off of Elegy did. I loved their take on straight death metal. I will absolutely still listen to the album when it comes out, though.
I enjoyed the song but i wish it was more inclined towards that DM sound that Elegy had, which in my opinion was pretty unique in this scene, compared to this breakdown spamming every 30 seconds that is saturated for me.
I wasn't a fan of this song to be honest leaned in too much to deathcore than it did death metal also the starting vocals felt out of place compared to the instruments

Sick track. Wasn't expecting this, but glad they're experimenting with their sound and still pulling it off.
Experimenting? Brother this is their original sound from their earlier albums!

Great song, nice reaction. Thanks guys!
Oops. Fixed title. Thanks!

Cousins never cease to deliver! Lovin' their music and super proud to work with the same sound tech as them:)

went back to the halo roots with this one. exactly what i needed.
Really good song reminds me of their album reclaimer
Fucking love this song!!! Just recently found these guys. LOVE THEM!
That's just the way Bryce sits (the drummer). I saw him live, and it's been the same in other videos going years back of him playing live.
The song feels like a reminder since everyone is trying to be extra heavy and they threw this out there like, yea donât forget who is top dog heavy
Yeah, SoI are the deathcore kings.

This is asymmetrical
Yâall should check out Worm Shepherdâs new single, âThe Frozen Lake Pt. II (The Ruined)â.
The new worm shepherd is disgusting this one is very good as well
Eternal Bloom - malevolence is a must reaction
Liking what SOI and BOS have offered up recently!
They're both stepping it up
Ad Infinitum just released their new album Chapter III Downfall. The female lead has a great clean and growl. The guitarist is really good too.
We checked out the album, it's boring.
@@TwoToeTags Haha. I like your honesty.
Title says Scar Symmetry. Not sure if it's only on my end or not.
Oops!

Also, I'm positive this song is heavily inspired by Dead Space. One of the scariest games I've ever played.
Halo.
@@Darkey23 Nah, bro, I know Halo lore, this isn't it. They stopped doing Halo stuff with their Reclaimer album.
"Brand of Sacrifice" sickest Death Core band, reinventing the genre. Check out songs Exodus or Mortal Vessel. Hold on to your balls.
Itâs actually legitimately based on dead space lore
No it legitimately is not
