The title should read replacing not fixing.

Have a GE from 2010.. no more parts, and the former replacement part price was some $140.. half the price for this 12 year old microwave ! These are such common problems. Had a double wall oven, same problem, LCD was so dim. But it was for a 24" space. Picked one up NIB for a couple hundred as it was not a common size and they wanted to get rid of it. My current OTC microwave is 36". They don't make them anymore. They wanted $280 -$320 for some spacer part.. more then the cost of a microwave ! Picked up a spacer kit for $34 on Amazon. Now looking for a 30" microwave at some point.

Do you know the difference between fix control, and replace control... i guess you don't

use a laxatives glove before you use to touch the mainframe board!!! because your hand use to be a body oil and static could damage the board.

so- the real answer is to replace the microwave.... paying to perform this feat would be pointless.

Exactly cheaper to get a new one because control boards aren't cheap, especially older microwaves, and paying for the repair is expensive, unless you're a DIY person, but this job could tax a DIY person.

I have a Viking Microwave (Model: RVM320SSY, manufactured Jan 2017), but the control board is close to your video.
After viewing your video showing the idea how to replace the control board display unit, I replaced the dim control board display unit. The display is working now, but too bright. Do you know how to adjust the brightness of the display?
The Viking control board display unit (065584-000, $54.49) was bought from allvikingparts website.
Thank you for your video. It is very helpful.

Perhaps check in the user manual. It may have a brightness adjustment in the settings. If not, it is something that you'd have to learn to live with. If anything the parts supplier may refund you if your not satisfied. Or talk to a company such as fixurboad. Com, or corecentrix to see if they can modify the board to suit your needs.
