Hey Bears and Butters. Thank you. We really appreciate you both. The food in Peru is OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! Glad you both could join us for supper. Next time you bring the wine. 😋😍🙌
WOW. ..LA COMIDA PERUANA ES TODO UN ORGASMO PARA TU PALADAR...Y POR ESO ES ADICTIVA...ES INCREIBLE LA CANTIDAD Y VARIEDAD DE PLATOS TRADICIONALES QUE TIENE EN SUS TRES REGIONES..
Muchas Gracias Jose! We certainly appreciate that. We have had such an incredible time in Peru and spending time with the locals is what it's all about. We defnitely appreciate your comment, thank you for subscribing.
Never tried carapulcra before, but you sold us on it by mentioning cumin, clove and cinnamon. That green sauce sounds like the sauce used in tallarin verde
Food and Footprints- Greg and Jumi not really this one it’s very different that green rice we use to make it with chicken or red meat and onion sauce with lemon and ají amarillo (chile) very delicious and the other one it’s a green sauce that we eat with noodles and fry steak it’s called tallarines verdes yummy 😋 ( the flavor of the sauce it taste like pesto but it’s not) some of the ingredients are spinach basil fresh cheese garlic oil onion etc etc etc

A classic Peruvian dessert that you need to try is Suspiro a la Limeña. It is a very sweet mousse that goes well with a nice cup of coffee. You will fall in love with it.
I think that food is such a massive part of any culture and an important part of any exploring around the planet! Love this video and you two make it exciting to think about traveling and food! Wonderful video! Cheers from Alaska!
Thank you. We were hoping to capture some experiences with some local dishes. We always try to get more of a local experience when we travel. Alasks is awesome. We miss it Definitely need come back at some point. For sure. Thank you.
very grateful for you to be able to try our variety of gastronomic dishes from me, cute PERU and also an extraordinary video guys, greetings from CUSCO-PERU ...🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
Great video 👍 and I can’t wait for more. I just had dinner but you made me hungry again. 6:44 The aji de gallina doesn’t have condensed milk, it has fresh or evaporated milk depending on the cook. Like carapulcra and anticuchos, the sopa seca has African influences. Except for the ceviche and cuy, these dishes are exclusive to Lima, go to Arequipa, the northern cities of Chiclayo and Trujillo and any city in the rainforest for delicious regional dishes not found anywhere else.
Thanks Kevin! Peru really is a magical place. We absolutely loved our time in Peru and are definitely planning on going back at some point. Glad you liked our intro. You can borrow it. LOLOL!
son una pareja muy simpatica y me encanta cuando bailan en jugos le falto guanabana que es oriunda de peru y chirimoya y jugo de tuna que es el fruto del cactus y tiene diferentes colores tiene sabores unicos
Your happiness make me happy ! 💟 About Ceviche the Moche and Chimu Culture were great fishermen thousands of year ago. They still use the Caballito de Totora
Thank you so much and thank you for that information. We really appreciate that. Please, join our Peru Facebook group we started for more tips and insight -- facebook.com/groups/FunTimesInPeru/
Amamzing vlog, I am so happy you liked peruvian food, I am from Peru and I am going in a month. First thing I am going to eat CEVICHE. we are going to make some vlogs there also. take care.
Thanks for showing my country and you’re right Peruvian food it’s the best in the whole world full of flavor and colors, the most natural ingredients , healthy because everything is fresh and practically from the farm to your table, fresh fish because we have the sea in front of us the most delicious fruits and you can taste it in natural juices ice creams etc and what can I say about the desserts you have to come back to taste everything and next time don’t forget to go to any bakery to eat the different kind of breads and sweet bread that we have even the empanadas butifarras etc etc greetings from California and take care!!!
Thank you Aime. We couldn't agree. with you more about. Peruvian food. We will definitely dive into more of those bakeries when we get back to Peru. Thank you. and hope you're safe and staying positive out there in California. Thanks again for your lovely comment. ❤️ 🙏
You have to came back, but go to the north coast of Perú, to know the ancient cultures before the quechuas (incas), to Kuelap (the Chachapoyas) in “ceja de selva” and to the rain forest. Thank you for liking our gastronomy and culture.
You are right. What makes ceviche great is the freshness of the fish and its ingredients. Actually Peruvians only have ceviche for lunch and not for dinner. I am glad how you explained all these Peruvian dishes. You need to try the Chupe de Camarones in Arequipa which is a shrimp chowder. Also in Arequipa they have Ocapa which is another style of Papa a la Huancaina.
It is one of the best videos I have seen about the delicious food from my Perú. Thanks for share your experience. You two guys will welcome again when you want.
Eating and cooking is part of us! In almost every house we spend time on those 🤭 Greetings from Lima! Pd: The lucuma ice cream is sooo good! It's one of my favorites!
WOW the best video about Peruvian food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys are awesome I love the way how you explain every single dish hahahahaha. Thanks a lot for visiting Peru!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! We felt that all these dishes deserved the respect of a detailed explanation. They were SO GOOD! Thank you for joining our journey and please, join our Peru Facebook group we started for more tips and insight -- facebook.com/groups/FunTimesInPeru/
Lucuma ice cream is the bomb dot com! My parents are both Peruvian and every chance I get I of course visit family and never miss out on the delicious cuisine! I prepare several Peruvian dishes but it never compares to the ingredients you find in Peru. By the way Aji de Gallina is prepared with Evaporated milk I think that's what you meant. Thanks again for sharing I shared your video on Facebook.
Muy buen video muchachos felicitaciones, les falto el plato más consumido en el Perú nuestro famoso pollo a la brasa, para su próximo viaje será 😀👍 saludos
Thank you for knowing our gastronomy ... There are many Peruvian dishes that you need to try ... I suggest next time go to a Creole buffet ... There you will try everything ...
Oh guys!! We are so jealous! Beside ceviche (and alfajores and pisco sour) we haven't tried those amazing dishes! You guys are so lucky to be able to try all that, the local way!! Good video! Again, makes us wanna go there sooner than we planned! haha! See you soon!

So good your videos and you are also a lovely and funny couple. Next time when you come to Peru must go: - El Nuro in Piura (swim with sea turtles and eat local ceviche from fishermen. Best fresh and artisan ceviche that you will eat in Peru) - Kuelap fortress ruins in Chachapoyas (stay in Gocta lodge for a night. You won't regret it.) - Manu National Reserve in Iquitos. You will eat a big river fish call Paiche. - Tambopata National Reserve in Madre de Dios. Some ideas that may help your next trip. Best wishes!
It seems You had a great experience in Peru and of course the wonderful gastronomy, definitely I recommend you the locuma ice cream with chocolate, it is so good, try it in the Peruvian restaurant near you, also you can make it yourself the locuma ice cream, the locuma pounder you can find in any natural food store in the USA (as a super food, import from Peru ), Cheers☺
Alfonso, we really did have an incredible experience and thank you for the Lucuma ice cream tip. We'll definitely try that if we can get our hands on some Lucuma Ice-cream.
@@TurnItUpWorld thanks, good to know you did enjoy it a different experience in Peru, yes the locuma ice cream is definitely delicious as I mention you can find the Lucuma flour, from this brand names (Navitas, Sunfood and others), also you can buy through the Amazon, good luck 😊
Great video. Peruvian food is some of the best in the world. No wonder it was chosen the best culinary destination in the world for 7 years in a row. You forgot to mentioned Chicha Morada which is purple corn infused drink that you probably tasted it when you were down there. On the desserts how did you miss the Suspiro Limeño o Suspiro de Limeña. Another great dessert is merengado de chirimoya, the fruit that Mark Twain called "the most delicious fruit known to men". By the way causa in pronounced COW-SAH. Guys this is just the tip of the iceberg of what Peruvian Food is all about. Next time you need to do culinary guided tour.
PLease let me know where in Lima one can taste your "SUSPIRO LIMENO", IF if is better than the cocktail of Algarrrrobina. And where they make the best. Thank you.
Suspiro Limeño, Suspiro a la Limeña or Suspiro de Limeña literally means "Sigh of a Lady from Lima" and was created at the beginning of the 20th Century by Amparo Ayarza for her husband the poet Jose Galvez who gave this very sweet dessert an unusual name. You can find it at Restaurant “Rincon Chami” located at: Calle Esperanza 154 in Miraflores. Half a block from Parque Kennedy. If you ever wonder what Peruvians ate at home before the gastronomic revolution of the past 15 years you need to go to this restaurant. It is like it was 30 or 40 years ago. Everything is delicious. It is highly recommended.
In Lima if you want to taste the best Lucuma Ice Cream, there is a well known ''heladeraia" place in the District of "Magdalena del Mar" , sorry forgot the name , but is owned by an Italian, the place has been there for 30 plus years. Good luck
Omg ! Alpaca meat ! 😱Even I'm peruvian, I have never tryed that kind of meat, but I have hear It's a little bit more though than beef meat. It will be a reason to try it. Pd: You are so funny, guys. So cute . Greetings and you are welcome back to Perú 😃✈
Thank you! The way we had the Alpaca meat it was thinner than beef and certainly a little more tough. Very tasty and delicious. We appreciate that and we'll be coming back to Peru soon. We'd love it if you hit the notification bell to keep up with our travels. YAY!
Omg huancaina sauce it’s my favorite and anticuchos 👏🏻 but cuy omg 😱 I cannot eat that 😰😅 I will never try it 😅 mmm instead cuy I put arroz chaufa 😍😍😍😍 with tallarín saltado from chifas 😍 also pan con chicharrón 😍😍😍😍😍😍 instead alpaca 🦙🤯😅 mmm I love caldo de gallina 🤩chupe del camarón 🍤 parihuela great video
You can find Lucuma in Mexican grocery stores! In California (Bay Area) we have them in Chavez super market! They have the frozen lucuma pulp and ice cream that tastes pretty close to the real thing! Highly recommend looking into it lol it’s such a nice treat to be able to buy some outside of peru.
To bad you dint try the Lucuma ice Cream wich is havenly bud if you have the opportunity to try Algarrobina ice cream which is the sirope they extracted from the Algarrobo tree?
You also must try "Chupe de Camarones" and "Pollo a la Brasa". If you like Seafood, then Peru has a lot more to offer than Ceviche: Tiradito, Arroz con Mariscos, Jalea, Choros a la Chalaca, Conchitas a la parmesana. etc. And I could mention a lot more: Tacu Tacu, Rocoto Relleno, Seco, Arroz con Pollo, dishes from the Amazon jungle, desserts (suspiro de limenia, mazamorra morada), drinks (chicha morada, pisco sour, inka kola), soups (caldo de gallina, parihuela), etc.
Leche de tigre! Love ceviche and Peruvian style is our favorite 🐯
Absolutely. It really is amazingly delicious.

In Lima if you want to taste the best Lucuma Ice Cream, there is a well known ''heladeraia" place in the District of "Magdalena del Mar" , sorry forgot the name , but is owned by an Italian, the place has been there for 30 plus years. Good luck
Thank you for the advice. We'll be making our way back to Lima soon and will definitely not miss the Lucuma Ice Cream. 😂
YAY!

Wow! That is a nice treat! Lucuma smoothies and ice-cream is one of our favorites! So good!
To bad you dint try the Lucuma ice Cream wich is havenly bud if you have the opportunity to try Algarrobina ice cream which is the sirope they extracted from the Algarrobo tree?
Love the t-shirt! I have tix to see them in DC in June (if Coronovius permits).
