Yeah idk when he was offered that power hitters were pretty valuable for mlb teams , I forsure tought he was going to get more since nobody has more Homers than him other than judge since he debuted
I don't honestly blame the Mets for this one. This one was just Pete and Boras getting greedy. He's in this mess now, and he brought this one on himself. Considering the rest of Pete's options, the Mets might just be the best chance he has to postseason magic if that's what he wants
Alonso has always puzzled me; it feels like his former organization might be the only one who can evaluate exactly how valuable he is which, despite all the trade talk ideas surrounding him the last few years, made it really difficult to imagine him actually getting traded. He reminds me of Kepler in that regard. Looking for a 3yr deal w/ multiple opt outs smacks VERY loudly of Correa's situation years ago. Boras is the common denominator on this strat. I like the idea of Seattle taking a chance on him more than anything else I can come up with. They GOTTA make a push with that rotation & Houston's foot off the gas, they clearly need offensive help, & Pete can offer em that. Might be difficult to get done though; ideally he would want to walk & try FA again after '25 if his statline improves, but due to sea level altitude, hitting is hard in Tmobile park. He's REALLY betting on himself if he tries it.
Too bad we already got a first base and DH. But ya know what? Just for the memes of “Dodgers get all the free agents” let’s sign him anyways and stick him in left field or sumthin
@@nicholascorrenti857 Pete can't even run the bases. There was that game against the Brewers during the playoffs. When Pete was making a run to home plate. The outfielder didn't even rush it. He lollipoped the throw and the catcher still had time to tag him out. i smh. He def. can't guard the outfield
Pete should’ve taken the money
Idk, I bet he'll get more than $22 million/year when he does sign.

Sometimes he betting on yourself is the worst risk to take. He is still a good player but what team will sign him for more than 3 or 4 years...

Translation: "screw you Scott, it has not been a pleasure"
So long Pete. Now you have no job. Thank Boras .
Fr Boris is ruing peoples free agent market
Bye bye tired of the strike outs we need more contact winker is in🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
They did just hand Soto three quarters of a billion dollars. Pete should sign for whatever the Mets will offer and fire Boras.

Pete Soto took your money!Mets are done paying big money duh!!Go Padres!!!But they might pay one more big name Vlad Jr.
I've been done with Pete's and Scott's shennanigans. I just hope all the delusion Mets fans wake up and move on. His contract would be an albatross
If Pete can’t get his money why does Vlad JR thinks he’s going to get his.
Because vladi is younger
Because he's younger and flat out better 😂

Pete, go to the dodgers. If you cant beat em, join em.
Fuck no, we don’t need him
Dodgers wouldn't want him even if freeman wasn't on the team.

He is too pricey for a backup 1st baseman. Especially with Freeman in that position... LAD is set in terms of most of their positions.
