I've been machine knitting since the mid 80's, and I never knew this weaving loom for the knitting machine existed. Thank you for your time and effort in this video. I took up rigid heddle weaving in 2020. I see the similarities.
What a coincidence....I too had never known the existence of this attachment although machine knitting since 1980. Just today I was browsing a Tessa Lorant book and saw a photo of the Weavemaster, and had to explore further....hey presto, I found your video.....fascinating
Wow!!! o_O I weave more than I knit and this attachment is pure genius! It's like having a multi-shaft weaving loom. I can imagine that with an elctronic knitting machine, it can transform into a Jacquard loom. I think it would help to have a little more tension on the warp at the back. I'm already thinking about a way to install a reed on my own knitting machine. 🤯
Hi Sally, that’s an excellent video. I managed to pick up one of these yesterday. It has a couple of missing parts. The first one yours looks missing as well and it’s to do with the beater bar There’s a bit missing across the top of it. Well, I downloaded a knitking manual as it was free rather than buying the weave master manual. The main piece that’s missing seems to be where the actual weave master attaches to the knitting machine. To the side of it there are letters ABCD and E and a slot well, I think the missing part goes. Would it be possible? You could send me over a picture of how you connect yours? The machine is so old and rare I very much doubt I’m ever gonna be able to purchase this part but I’m wondering look if I could look at it I could make a workaround, any help? I would be really grateful thanks rachel.
Lucky you! 😄 are you also in Instagram? I just posted a short reel about its Japanese version (Royal Loom) and have directed the viewers to your YT demonstration.

Thank you. It came as a surprise to me too, and very shortly afterwards I saw this one for sale.

@@rachelbyrne2287 sorry, I no longer own this attachment. There is a very helpful group on Facebook which might be able to assist you.
Thank you for sharing. Where did you find this wonderful machine? 😊
I found it about four years ago, advertised in our U.K. machine knitting magazine. It was a lucky find, they are very rare.
Lucky you! 😄 are you also in Instagram? I just posted a short reel about its Japanese version (Royal Loom) and have directed the viewers to your YT demonstration.
No, I’m not on Instagram. Thanks for the direction.
