Completely forgot to mention 2 things: 1) It supports both Windows and Mac. You can toggle between both modes with a keyboard shortcut. 2) The Rudy keycaps are doubleshot PBT.
Super underrated channel. This is my first time ever modding a keyboard and all of the tutorials were using sound dampening mats, but its too expensive for me. This is much more budget friendly and it sounds really good. Its also well produced. Thank you!
Hi, I just have some questions about the foam. So I have been hearing if you do the tape and foam mod it will cause a fire since the battery is lithium?
That's a lot in the box, what a deal! I got an older nonhotswap one though. Still, I'm always recommending RK to anyone though I wonder if you have any idea with the other models getting updated specs?
It really is an outstanding deal! I'm not too sure regarding the other RK models, so I can't give you a definite answer. But from what I've seen online, most of them have been updated. The RK61 seems to be the last one to the party.
You forgot to say that it's not programmable, thus you have to use external tools to mod the function layer. In my opinion that's the only con. Keycaps and overloobed stabilizers are non-factor.
I want to mod rk61 but I never modded a keyboard before do u recommend any 60% keyboard which sound really good modded and is budget friendly? if it is the rk61 do u recommend I do it
won't it burn? because there is a battery, then there is foam and tape below the pcb. I'm also using Rk61, but it hasn't been modded yet. I'm scared because I don't know what to do with the battery. I hope you can help me bro
@@jeoq You can see the battery at 2:42. I'm not sure if there's a wired-only RK61, or if that has a battery. I'd recommend getting one of the 3-mode models like this one. You have the option of using it wired, wireless, or through BT.
why no one takes the black version? Am I the only one who finds it beautiful? And is it normal that the azerty version on Amazon is more expensive? Ps :nice video !
Is there like a newer one because Im looking on Amazon apparently there's a wired version nothing about bluetooth but the charger is on the left side and it's rgb
@@HarvindG is this spec written on the new version's box? I bought mine around 2018 (nonhotswap) and I can't find the polling rate spec anywhere. PS. Sorry to hijack this comment. Great video btw! Got me pulling my old RK61 for some easy modding.
@@agoogleuser9025 I remember reading that somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. Definitely not listed in the box or documentation, so I might take this with a pinch of salt. Glad you enjoyed the review - happy modding!
is there a different lube for stabs? im confused can i use the lube (for switch) on stabilizers? some people use lube on switch and use some kind of lube called grease on stabs
Great question, it does get confusing. You can use the same lube for switch and stabilizer housings (Krytox 205G0), but NOT for stabilizer wires and switch springs. Here's generally what you should go with. *Switch housing:* Krytox 205G0 *Switch springs:* Krytox 105 *Stabilizer housing:* Krytox 205G0 *Stabilizer wire:* Dielectric grease
@@BakedConjurer5 Although not recommended, you can use it if that's the only lube you have. For the stabilizer wires, you'll need to relube them more often, as Krytox 205G0 is thinner than dielectric grease and will be easily displaced by the constant movement of the stabilizer wire. For switch springs, use a (very) tiny amount and bag lube them.

Thank you! I really appreciate it. 🙏🏽
hope u get big buddy

never heard of it before but I got it on my desk now lol
i have this keyboard but my battery died the other day, is there any thing i can do to replace it. It works fine when plugged in though.
Hi, I just have some questions about the foam. So I have been hearing if you do the tape and foam mod it will cause a fire since the battery is lithium?
I used 99% Isoprophyl alcohol or lighter fluid for removing the grease of stabs.

i bought this keyboard and it sounds nice with the rk sky scyan switches they have. sounds better when lubed.

so you have probs figured it out by now but its really easy to mod the rk61 same as the rk68 u can do it
Can you do vid about rk61 pro and compare it?
I want to mod this so badly
You should! It's a fun experience and super easy for the RK61 in particular.

It's relatively safe, I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't stuff too much foam in it/put too much pressure on the battery, you'll be good.

Thank you! I didn’t like the white plate colour against the black case, that was the main reason I went with the white.
Does it work with Xbox does anyone know?
I'm not sure, but I think it should. I'm pinning this comment so others may help you out.

I'm not sure, best get in touch with the seller to clarify. AFAIK the 3-mode model with hotswap is one of the most recent models.
My RGB turns pink instead of white :( … when I set it to that colour.
It’s a common issue with multicoloured RGB. The white you get isn’t pure white.
Can you make a video on how to order keyboard from banggood in India?
I have no idea how to do that tbh. I’m based in the EU.
Should i get this or the tester68 to mod?
I have both. Definitely had more fun modding the Tester68.
Does this new version has 1000hz polling rate?
Yup! Not sure if the polling rate on Bluetooth mode is 1000hz though, can't seem to find documentation on that.
