    Julien has this identity / self-concept stuff really figured out. The man has confronted his shadow and won.

    But also digging into psychology, We need to understand how the issue began. For most, Neediness is from our childhood. Situations and dynamics, which we feel as our comfort zone.
    If we don’t resolve the early issues from our childhood, we will simply repeat them, like a drug addict. I think you’re guided meditation attacks those core issues and helps letting go, which has been extremely helpful! But I think it’ll only help those who are vulnerable and ready to let go.

    • @JulienHimself
      @JulienHimself  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, revisiting and letting go of childhood trauma and negative childhood programming is crucial!

    • @SirGregg
      @SirGregg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its a painful step back into the feelings we had when neglected as children. It takes some mental gymnastics to comprehend how a parent or grandparent can seek to implant self-destructive subconscious programming into its own offspring. Being hoodwinked out of having a childhood is one thing but finding out the brain has been rewired from continual gaslighting is a real gut punch.

    Wow, the intricate ways the mind plays out this comfort zone, the thoughts, feeling, emotions and actions of this shadow. Not as bad as I was before but fooled myself as the mask had just shifted. The weight that's lifting is amazing. Loving myself but being honest with myself.
    Love and light Julien! 😎

    But what about basic human needs like connection? We're wired for that. I don't think you can necessarily bypass your own biology. Of course, there's a lot of value in what Julien's saying, but we can't forget our own human-ness in the process.

    • @JulienHimself
      @JulienHimself  3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      What you'll find is that you'll still be INSPIRED to connect with people... But it will be coming from an authentic place VS the "connection will complete me" desperate chase.

    You can’t give companionship to yourself. I get so irritated when people say to be your own companion. It’s dismissive. By definition, you have to have another person to have companionship

    I got ur digital product
    Things I liked
    -it was whole new concept didn't knew about that , didn't expected
    -most part was of telling us about the benefits of what will happen if we apply
    -it was short not like most program which are lengthy but with little value scattered
    -
    The things I did not like
    -there was 2 guided releases (apart from 6 month course)which were only 10 min
    And was very bad like I needed a good letting go meditation but it was not in there.
    -should have given more practical steps in infield footage

    Hmm Im reading a book called shyness, really good older book. One exercise is drawing yourself. After I was done the first question was, is anything missing? Well to my amazement I never drew my hands! Its not that I didn't have time bc I drew weird feet to finish it off, but it only went down to my elbow and upper forearm. My problems include more than neediness and clinginess; porn, acceptance and validation to name a few I liked to tickle a lot, the ways Ive gotten others to tickle with me I am less than proud of.

    I'm not needy by default, generally I'm good by myself, but when some external stimulus happens I suddenly become needy in short term, e.g. someone gives me attention, I give them attention back and they don't responed I get triggered... even though 10 minutes ago I was completely fine... dunno if that makes sense :/

    Could this be linked to not being able to communicate freely with women I’m attracted too

    • @bassacoustic1549
      @bassacoustic1549 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably. Try not to seek external validation.... What you deem ‘cool’ is what’s cool. Be more invested in your opinion of yourself, than in the world’s opinion of you. You’ll feel the neediness lessen until it’s irrelevant. Julien is a good person to listen to.
      Embrace the discomfort. It means you’re pushing yourself rather than rotting in the ‘comfort zone’.
