Yes, I misspoke and missed that in editing. It is a 1080P camera

I remember loading my own single shot round film discs into a Camroc. For 10 year olds in 1970 this was super high tech!!

I like how the closed captioning calls it a disaster cam.

I had an Estes Astrocam rocket in the 1980's, it was a film camera that used a 110 film cartridge. The camera was the nosecone of the rocket and the shutter was triggered when the ejection charge fired, taking a single photo.

I still have my Astrocam 110 from the late 90s.

You should do a video on some of the other options. Thanks for the video, keep up the good work!

The camera needs to be colored orange as well, in order to locate it faster if /when it separates from the rocket - just like a "Black box".

definetly have more than 1 camera sitting in a field somewhere.... Not sure even being colored orange would have helped me find them.

    Any videos with actual VIDEO?

The "intro" contains onboard flight footage from a flight as do my videos on the flights of the Phoenix and Infinity rockets

Did you have any trouble with your rocket spinning when launched? Ours was somewhat unstable with the Astrocam attached. I've got a 3d printer, would your design or one with the camera mounted in the nosecone help this issue?

The mount from Estes can cause the rocket to spin. On smaller rockets it has a much higher effect on aero than on larger rockets.
Any form of printed retention or nose cone retention is far better than the one Estes provides in my opinion. I've seen several cameras lost to those mounts

What size BT does it support?

Hey this was listed on a website as a beginners rocket, I'm getting this for my nephew (Xmas) its about 50 dollars.. Is it only meant to be shot once? Or does it get recharged? Sorry if the questions don't sound very smart.. Thanks

So the Estes Astrocam rocket can be flown more than once for sure. If you're specifically referencing the camera then of course. It interfaces via a standard USB port with a computer to allow for easy pulling of video onto your laptop and this also doubles as the way you charge it. I usually ensure it's full before I go flying and the battery will last about 5-7hrs depending on use.

    Just my opinion here...
The camera rocks, the mount is janky and simply doest hold up to midpower thrust. You can permenently mount it with stronger tape but still pretty dubious. Pros with mid power is your rocket doesn’t spin with it installed. Flying it on Estes Star Orbiter. 😊

What are the alternatives you allude to?

If you are meaning camera alternaives. I was refering to the Mobius lines, Runcam 4K and I know Apogee carrys a keyfob camera that fits well on small rockets.
I personally am fans of and fly the Mobius lines and the RunCam 4k. I've even designed camera mounts for them that I have avaliable in my webstore.
