@@MP-hw6sx my lazy ass ain’t got to it yet. I did get the air compressor out and sprayed around the rim and the tire that didn’t work. I have 22 inch tires so they’re just a pain in the ass to get off I’m sure work if you just clean it out, I’m thinking it’s from the car wash whenever they put the armor all on your tires the drive-through ones and it just got dirt in there because it wasn’t leaking like that before
This worked for me! I used a prybar to give me more space to clean. My tire was flat for an extended period of time, so dirt must have gotten into it, causing the leak. This worked, thank you!!
thanks. do you think it helps to put any type of goo/ gunk where it was happening. some type of grease? Ive noticed when I've taken it to the tyre shop for this exact problem they've obviously used some gunky stuff that has run over onto the side wall of tyre
It’s called sealing bead they sell them at autozone. Comes in a canister with a dipping brush as a lid. That’s the black gunk they put in the edges and inside of the tires
I just had new tires on a used bmw rims. 6 hrs later after work I have a flat. Tire place use impact gun and couldn’t even break damn tire lug nut so had to call free road side service. Dude use a killer breaker bar to get it off without breaking nut. I ask him to air my tire up and spray water. There definitely a leak and look like some rubber debri between the rim:tire. Don’t tire shop check for leak prior to install? And is it customary to use bead sealant? I feel like they rush and went cheap on me
Only works in TH-cam world .... 🤷🏽♂️ I have 1 leak between the wheel and tire, did the same trick, no dirt or anything where it leaks, i cleaned that area out, re-filled and still leaking.
@@rob-tubetv I just used bead sealer and wiped it all around the entire lip of the tire where it meets the wheel, filled it up and the leak stopped .... UNTIL i put it on the car and drove off, then it started leaking again in the same spot. SO i broke the bead again, cleaned it out again, applied more bead sealer, filled it up to 50 psi, NO LEAKS, let it sit over night, next morning, put the wheel back on the car and drove off, went out 10 miles, came back home and started leaking AGAIN ... in the same spot
@@feras04 nope it was the tire that was defective, we broke the bead on both sides, turned the tire 180 deg and re-mounted and the leak followed the tire to the new spot so the wheel is good and the tire was bad ...

Past six months I’ve been looking for a leak on the tread and today I just started spraying everywhere and noticed that it’s leaking from the sidewall

Yes you can put some type of grease around them but I never did on these wheels and they’re still fine right now.

I had that problem with my 11 year old chrome rims, brand new tires and getting flat wtf, I took it to a place and they sealed them with something 😮

Take it off and clean the bead and rim then put on bead sealer

after you pry it open, put some bead sealer at the spot it is leaking, might do the trick for you
