This video was helpful - I have a couple of things you may find useful. 1. A ratchet and socket will fit thru the holes in the running board below the chain case. 2. I would not spray parts cleaner into the chain in fear not all of it would come out and it would degrade the new oil. 3. I torqued the bolts to 7ft lbs ( 84 in lbs). Thanks for the video - it was a push in the right direction and it saved me from having to take the muffler off.
Ditto Mike Carr's post of 2 years ago! Not only will parts cleaner pose a risk of diluting or degrading the new oil, it may harm the important shaft seals. This is NOT a good idea! Remover the cover as per OEM instructions, check the chain/sprockets, adjust chain tension if need be. Do it properly...... or don't do it at all!
i think thats what he did when had the belt of the secondary clutch. but it is better to look in chaincase for sure. but his got a bunch of clutter in this ski doo to easily look at the chain case
