good biograft just use m2, slash you a few times if you're distracted, even fewer if Katana is aware, then run away with E, and let his team handle the rest for a good while until Katana is low enough that he can spam m1, m2, and use Q

If you're referring to the counter guide, then no. Yes any Phighting can finish another phighter if played right, but usually a good Katana WILL pull the Biograft if they try to run away with their E. And if katana cans use their Q, then Katana is a stronger meele and while hes attacking, he gains shield not only with his M1 but also with his secondary.

as a banhammer main, I can confirm this; both katana and bantam are incredibly easy to deal with if you keep your distance

Banhammer countering Katana? Based on experience, it's always the opposite in pure 1v1 IF the Katana knows he should jump before M1 so he doesnt take the brunt of Banhammers E

It is weird. I think that Ban counters katana cz he has to just take down his shield, yes i know, it is a hard thing to do, but if done right, he can just ult katana away. And if done right, Ban can chain the ult's. Tho I agree with Ban being countered by Katana, as Katana can reflect Bans E, hook Ban to stop him spinning and so on.

what does "taking the average of the hp" mean? I need numbers

For example. If we have a Medkit (175 health) and a VineStaff (100 health) in Katanas ult, we will take their both health and divide by 2 (175+100=275/2=137.5) dealing 137 or 138 (idk if the game rounds up or down the numbers)

4:26 2 months after starting Phighting, mostly playing as a bh main, I now decide to be curious and check out katana. I now know why my e ability always got cut short when 1v1ing a katana.

One thing I do disagree with about this video is that you said Ban counters Katana which in my personal experience/opinion is the other way, if Ban doesn't have his phinisher he gets hard clapped by Katana in any 1v1 situation

Im a banhammer main and katana definitely counters banhammer. The slow really hurts for bans and if your jump is gone, your most likely dead. The shield that ban gains is slower than katanas from my experiences. Spin is good against katanas but as said in the video it can be cancelled.
