Wanaka has a gorgeous scenery 😍! The quad tour is exciting 🤩. Top Gear is awesome, especially the sarcasm of the 3 guys with Jeremy Clarkson in specific. If you liked Top Gear, you should definitely watch The Grand Tour. Last week you surprised us with Highland Farm Stay and now you got the beauty of Cross Hill Lodge and Domes. New Zealand has some awesome places to stay! I need to get a ski and/or snowboard course for that Cardrona Alpine Resort. If you like Japanese food and skiing, you should go to Hokkaido again, I still remember that episode! That communal way of traveling is my favourite way of traveling too Phoebe. Lake Hawea is super peaceful. I love that place. Reminds me of Bicheno in (yes, again) Tassie. I was there with a friend at the lake around sunset and only two locals were there as well, just to fish. We were there to watch the penguins come out of the water, such a peaceful place. Climbing up those mountains is amazing, and that waterfall next to you makes is even better! My condolences for your loss of Ronda 🥺❣️. Thank you for sharing and have a great week ahead! 🤙
I knew you’d love The Domes! It’s such a cool place to stay and the high country hospitality aspect was just lovely - you still feel independent and have your freedom and privacy but get to connect with the owners and guests. Such a beautiful place! Everything looks so idyllic - apart from that climb - not with my head for heights! 🥺 You guys have nerves of steel. Another great episode.
hahaha that's too cute! My mum doesn't like heights and it's the cutest thing - she gets these wobbly legs and clings to me like a koala. Adorable! So glad you liked this one and so glad I didn't inherit the fear of height - that climb was epic! P xx
Wanaka has also been my favourite place in NZ for as long as I can remember, even though I'm from the north island. The scenery is truly on another level down there.😍Thanks for sharing guys!

How I miss Queenstown. I was there 4 years ago and did some skiing at Cardrona. Best Ski field in the southern hemisphere, best to my knowledge.

This ep is epic. I love Wanaka and Lake Wanaka. We always stayed there for at least 5 days, we are privileged members of Wyndham Destination so our accommodation was already prepaid.
That's the way to do it! 5 days is such a good amount of time. I always think I'll get my fill after 2-3 days and I never do haha I just never want to leave! Hopefully I'll get the chance to visit Wanaka for a lot longer one time in the future :) P x
@@travelforphoebe that's how I feel too. Even tho we have been to South Island 4th times already and still not enough. I wish to go back one more time and stay longer like 6 months or a year to experience half in north and half in south.

You'll have to check out Dusky Sound next time,there is a boat that takes passengers in the sound,snorkelling, fishing, amazing meals,scenery and serenity ,the boat is called Salt,I think. Diving for crays that just sit there,thousands of them, anyway,as always,love your work folks.
