That’s the first time I have ever seen a nut crusher being made!

Yeah it was a challenge and fun project.... figuring out what steps I might take to make it.

Nice project. A big part of what we do is to work around issues. There’s usually more than one way. So finding the way that works for us in the particular situation is the key. Well done.

Really really nice. I’ve been contemplating building a threading jig. Rethinking - may just get a tap and die set.

I've been thinking of threading (tap/die) alternatives... just need to find a use for it. :)

Very nice! I like to see new tools used. I may look into purchasing that thread maker.

I haven't found a ton of uses for threading in this size, but fun to play with.

@@movingchips I would like to make a big bench side vice from wood. Had one when I was much younger and used it a lot! I may take a 1" bolt and nut and try to make a threading tool.

@@BAILEYWOODWORKS Thats actually exactly what I had in mind.... well not the bench vise, but taking a nut/bolt and turn them into a tap/die. I think you should make that happen

Nice video! Cool build. Maybe next time put a slight cove on the part that comes down to crush it. Itd help cup it an hold it centered while coming down on it? Just an idea. I've never made one. Sure Looks awesome

Great Idea, great work. When I first saw I was questioning the strength of the threads. But the look good size.
