An Evening with Reza Aslan at Indian Summer Festival

  • An evening with the internationally bestselling author of No god but God and Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. Reza Aslan offers us a fascinating, provocative, and meticulously researched biography that calls into question everything we thought we knew about Jesus of Nazareth.
    Sifting through centuries of myth-making, Aslan sheds new light on one of history’s most influential and enigmatic characters by examining Jesus through the lens of the tumultuous era in which he lived: first century Palestine, an age awash in apocalyptic fervour.
    Balancing the Jesus of the Gospels against historical sources, Aslan explores this diverse and turbulent age and, in doing so, challenges the conventional portraits of Jesus of Nazareth. Aslan describes a man full of conviction and passion, yet rife with contradiction: a man of peace who exhorted his followers to arm themselves with swords; an exorcist and faith healer who urged his disciples to keep his identity a secret; and ultimately, the seditious “King of the Jews” whose promise of liberation from Rome went unfulfilled in his brief lifetime.
    Aslan’s work questions what we thought we knew about Jesus of Nazareth-even as it affirms the radical and transformative nature of his life and mission. The result is a thought-provoking and singularly brilliant portrait of a man, a time, and the birth of a religion.
    This session was made possible with the support of SFU Institute for the Humanities and The Centre for the Comparative Studies of Muslim Societies and Cultures at SFU. Thanks to SFU Woodwards for their partnership and for recording the session.

      Spartacus32145 Don't be deceived by the academia. Harvard and Columbia are corporate academes of the imperialists who control your mind and body by false intellectualism. If my criterion for the truth is masteral and doctoral degrees of somebody, I must be the most stupid idiot in the world. Start digging until you can proved that the academia are the seats of imposed ignorance.

      Gali Dodoy Villanueva if your criterion for the truth is the lack of masteral and doctoral degrees than you might as well be the most stupid idiot in the world. While I would agree with you that higher education is in some ways intertwined with systems of power and influence, it is also the largest arena of criticism against things like corporate and government elites. Essentially, a degree shouldn't reflect being right. Rather, when it comes to the humanities, it reflects having relevant skills and outlooks that are crucial to understanding the fields in which you learn. You can't expect everyone to learn biblical greek, talk to archaelogists, or read every word on Jesus. The most reliable setting that introduces new ideas, while checking old knowledge is still academia. If you can think of a better setting, or come up with a better methodology that replaces a college, social science education then I'm all ears.

      Spartacus32145A degree is only a function of the individual University itself. Anyone who has taken a degree must acknowledge that even though there is a claim to uniformity across the board as regards to state standards, what an individual Universities actually teaches/profess's is hugely different! So when Reza talks about his 4 degree's, I take it with a pinch of salt!

    This is a most wonderful lecture about religion - the fact, the myth, the importance. While some of you may not have much interest, to those that do, this will be a well spent couple of hours. Reza Aslan has other presentations (I allude to his specific address regarding fundamentalism - in another video, where most modern forms of religion are most similar to idolatry and not spirituality). For all my years of relentlessly studying my faith and religion - he seems to sum it up the best. Now, that I no longer need to say what has already been said so eloquently and succinctly by this person, I can go back to the universal language of music. Sharing a truth, that has always been inexpressible by words. Enjoy !!!

    A lot of people blame the religion for the countless murders that took place in our history. Instead of blaming the religion why not blame the root cause? The people manipulating the teachings for their own gain. The religions around the world constantly evolve to adapt to the progress of our civilizations. Ultimately, in my opinion the people are the root cause of these murders and hate crimes. Just as all religions can be practiced in a peaceful way, it can also be practiced in a hateful manner towards one another claiming it's just. I am a christian and just watched a muslim man express his thoughts and all it made me do is reinforce my faith and I wanted to learn more so I can expand my faith and knowledge. Take the time to learn from one another so we can grow in our faiths. Just because someone is of a different faith it doesn't mean you shut them out. It allows you to see things from a different perspective and perhaps allows you to ask the right questions to lead you where you need to be. Stop wasting time spreading hate and trying to keep count of who's killed how many people and spend more time enlightening yourself. I know people of many religions and they respect my faith as I respect theirs, that is the only way we grow as a community. Prime example is his reference to the well.

    • @totallymulatto

      Very well put! It's surprising how many people on TH-cam spout hate and anger at really almost anything. • @SmartRCoupe
      @SmartRCoupe 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      totallymulatto Actually there are more people who can do critical thinking than we see in TH-cam comments. It's just that it's a waste of time to respond the ignorant and arrogant. Not because it's not worth it, it's because it's their choice to stay that way, and our references of argument will be very different. Peace upon everyone who are sincerely looking for the truth in their own way.

    • @totallymulatto
      @totallymulatto 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand what you're saying SmartRCoupe but there's a difference between ignorance and stupidity. Stupidity means someone who can't comprehend information, ignorance means someone who just simply doesn't know. You can change an ignorant person by educating them. I know this can be accomplished because I've done it before.

    • @Louis-zp8bt
      @Louis-zp8bt 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      As an atheist, I would agree with your comment in almost every single aspect, except the part where you say that those who are malicious and maniacal will manipulate religion for their own gain. As critical thinkers of religion, we should be quite frank and honest about what religion actually is. It can be whatever you want-- a religion is not peaceful nor is it evil. With that said, lets just say that those who choose to attach religion to their evil acts don't do it in order to consciously deceive and lie about where their actions come from; they just attach religion to it because they can find connection with it. A slave owner can connect to Christianity just as an abolitionist can.
      Other than that point, I really enjoyed your point that we should all just respect each other's perspectives and that the death toll is irrelevant to conversations like these.

    On February 25, 1994, that year's Purim day, Goldstein entered a room in the Cave of the Patriarchs that was serving as a mosque, wearing "his army uniform with the insignia of rank, creating the image of a reserve officer on active duty." [15] He then opened fire, killing 29 worshippers and wounding more than 125.[16] Mosque guard Mohammad Suleiman Abu Saleh said he thought that Goldstein was trying to kill as many people as possible and described how there were "bodies and blood everywhere".[17] Eventually, Goldstein was overcome and beaten to death by survivors of the massacr
    At Goldstein's funeral, Rabbi Yaacov Perrin claimed that even one million Arabs are "not worth a Jewish fingernail".[24][25][26] Samuel Hacohen, a teacher at a Jerusalem college, declared Goldstein the "greatest Jew alive, not in one way but in every way" and said that he was "the only one who could do it, the only one who was 100 percent perfect."[25][26] In contrast, mainstream Jewish religious leaders "rejected the suggestion that killing Palestinians with an automatic rifle" was authorized by the Torah.[24] Rabbi Dov Lior of Kiryat Arba declared that Goldstein was "holier than all the martyrs of the Holocaust."[27]

    wait okay so this isn't an attack, I'm finding this talk really interesting.. But Reza stated that he is removing the Historical Jesus from the Spiritual Jesus, including what it written in the gospels... And then he goes on to talk about Jesus' teachings that were written in the gospels to support his argument. It kinda seems like he's picking and choosing what to believe happened here? If we don't know that the gospels are true for sure or historically accurate, then why is he using their content to argue. Why can't a christian shoot down his arguments about Jesus not being the true Messiah by telling him that he still lives and his business is not yet done? It seems like a little bit of a flaw to me, but maybe I'm just nitpicking

    • @g7058190
      @g7058190 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      What I got from this talk was that Reza has taken those stories from the Gospels, those things it teaches us about what Jesus said and did in his time and reviews them through the scope of the time that he lived.
      As he said we know very little about the Historical Jesus if you remove all the religious texts, but if you take what little you know, put that to the background of the time in which he lived (which we do know) and carefully apply the stories of the Gospel to it in context then you can begin to see the shape of a man very different to that of a Spiritual Jesus. I can see how it could be seen as "picking and choosing" but he does it in the context of a historical background, using what we do know to interpret what we have.
      I think the point that resonated most in this talk was that idea that how we perceive the world now, how we think about right and wrong, truth and falsehood is incredibly far removed from the way someone in the first century thought about those things.

    • @totallymulatto
      @totallymulatto 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He mentioned that if you remove the historical Jesus from the spiritual Jesus. Knowing the three main facts about him, then placing him in the world of which he lived in at that time (which there are numerous known facts about), that you can then piece together the true meaning of his teachings. He goes deeper into the bible itself due to the questions being asked towards the end of his lecture, but he's using the facts about the times, and the facts about the man Jesus to then support/or decode certain details/or books of the bible. Like when he went on to talking about the book of Paul for example.

    I am a muslim,and I want to clarify some thing for christians. What Reza concluded in his book does not fit with Islamic view or Islamic theology,so stop calling him as a bias! Islam does not say Jesus was killed by Roman nor jews . Rather God protected him and sent him to heaven. Moreover, Islam says Jesus was born miraculously. Therefore, Christians should deal with facts that Reza concluded, which are Jesus was a Jewish, so when Jesus said Son of God what did he really mean for a jewish community ?and Paul has never seen him,nor did he walk with Jesus! Deal with these facts and face the truth that your religion was established by Paul not Jesus.

    Aslan caught in a lie at (47:37) when he claims people who wrote the Gospel never met Jesus personally..! John the Apostle was the son of Zebedee and the younger brother of James, son of Zebedee (Saint James the Greater). According to Church tradition, their mother was Salome. Zebedee and his sons fished in the Sea of Galilee. The brothers were firstly disciples of John the Baptist. Jesus then called Saint Peter, Saint Andrew and these two sons of Zebedee to follow him. James and John are listed among the Twelve Apostles. Jesus referred to the pair as "Boanerges" (translated "sons of thunder"); although their nature was calm and gentle, when their patience was pushed to its limits their anger became wild and thunderous causing them to speak out like an untamed storm. Peter, James and John were the only witnesses of the raising of Daughter of Jairus. All three also witnessed the Transfiguration, and these same three witnessed the Agony in Gethsemane more closely than the other Apostles did.
    Jesus sent only JOHN and Peter into the city to make the preparation for the final Passover meal (the Last Supper). {Luke 22:8 English Standard Version (ESV)
    8 So Jesus[a] sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.”}
    On the cross before his death; (John 19-27).. but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
    The disciple whom Jesus loved is referred to, specifically, six times in John's gospel:
    It is this disciple who, while reclining beside Jesus at the Last Supper, asks Jesus, after being requested by Peter to do so, who it is that will betray him.[Jn 13:23-25]
    Later at the crucifixion, Jesus tells his mother, "Woman, here is your son", and to the Beloved Disciple he says, "Here is your mother."[Jn 19:26-27]
    When Mary Magdalene discovers the empty tomb, she runs to tell the Beloved Disciple and Peter. The two men rush to the empty tomb and the Beloved Disciple is the first to reach the empty tomb. However, Peter is the first to enter.[Jn 20:1-10]
    In John 21, the last chapter of the Gospel of John, the Beloved Disciple is one of seven fishermen involved in the miraculous catch of 153 fish.[Jn 21:1-25] [38]
    Also in the book's final chapter, after Jesus hints to Peter how Peter will die, Peter sees the Beloved Disciple following them and asks, "What about him?" Jesus answers, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!"[John 21:20-23]
    Again in the gospel's last chapter, it states that the very book itself is based on the written testimony of the disciple whom Jesus loved.[John 21:24]
    According to Church tradition, after the Assumption of Mary, John went to Ephesus. From there he wrote the three epistles attributed to him. John was allegedly banished by the Roman authorities to the Greek island of Patmos, where, according to tradition, he wrote the Book of Revelation. According to Tertullian (in The Prescription of Heretics) John was banished (presumably to Patmos) after being plunged into boiling oil in Rome and suffering nothing from it. It is said that all in the audience of Colosseum were converted to Christianity upon witnessing this miracle. This event would have occurred in the late 1st century, during the reign of the Emperor Domitian, who was known for his persecution of Christians.
    Other than showing himself as the so called (4-degrees) educated idiot..,

      UFOANAUT The Bible comes from the LEGIT texts which quran doesn't have coz Caliph Uthman burnt all the original dissenting versions of quran; after the day of Yamama when all the quranic orators were killed after being sent to war! While the Bible's scripts are preserved. Question is did Reza visit preserved Christian texts in Rome? He has to declare that.. openly or honestly. Which is the very reason he cant try and revisit islamic texts if there are any.. coz he fears for his life to do as islam cant be revised.. the fact that there are no source texts as everything was burnt.. as orators were killed on Yamama day! How could Reza visit legit texts with an already established mentality and the whole attitude that the Bible has been changed?? What if you/him visited the original texts in Vatican and discovered that all you see in the Bible is what apostles wrote during Jesus's time; which is not even close to when quran was written after muhammad's death? You scumbags don't have credibility.. you just want to argue.. to stay in Christian lands.. Just go home assholes, Period

    Reza Aslan has clear agenda here, but having that agenda , he became famous like any other person (scholar or non scholar) by putting forward a controversial conclusion. It is easy to become famous and at the same time not to fear of his/her own life is, bashing against any religion other than Islam. He won't dare to say that against Mohammed. He knew that, he have to exile, rest of his life. He just simplify Jesus like any other political revolutionist. All Muslims argue Jesus has some unusual power or not an ordinary person (prophet) and then go on to say that he has no divinity which is against basic Christians belief.

    So I’ve research countlessly Reza on church interviews, speeches, his Family, marriage, etc…I’ll read zealot when I see it at Good Will Store.
    Reza is a pantheism who is stirring up to people to confusion. He reminds me of Pope where he is accepting all universal faith is good in Jesus eyes. (This is happening all over nations too).
    Matthew 6:25…Jesus mention you can’t have 2 masters.
    He does have lots of valid points on historic facts and very elegant speakers….gotta give credit. However….
    Why did Jesus brought up that famous verse…which you all know …
    John 3:16 and…
    John 14:6.
    He reminds me of someone who want to please everybody and it’s about feel good doctrine and that’s why he was on the top of the book lists.
    Many want to hear only the good part about God but not God’s wrath. Jesus talks more about hell more than heaven cause He doesn’t want people to go there. Free will given, choices…
    Reza doesn’t understand who God is, His power, God’s Holy Spirit (HS), HS given to believers, HS spoken to 12 Disciples, & All idols mention in the OT relate to different religions, which is so connected and that’s why Jesus said he’s the only way. He’s missing out this crucial part during his speech….Wow! Even His wife is Christian and Reza is now Idk what to think of what religion? They’re even promoting mix marriage on different religions….
    2 Corinthians 6:14….Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.
    Matthew 6:24…. 24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
    Matthew 7:15…. Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. This false gospels!
    If you research Charlie Kirk deep root he’s totally the opposite.
    God ordains president (1 Samuel 8/Roman 13:1) and he use president to fulfill his prophesy to accomplish. We Christians don’t focus their sin part as we all are but God has purpose for their leaders around the nations to bring prophesy….
    This is my take on Reza…Like I mention Bible is my fact news…not Reza…Thsts why I encourage you to listen to pastors like John MacArthur, John Barnett, Paul Washer, not prosperity Pastor’s….who will blind us…Gathering is so important …Hebrew 10:25…so we will not fall away and we can be accountable to each other what the Scripturess says…🙂🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼

  • @Madmen604

    This is really interesting, but the speaker is making assumptions to validate his narrative. For example, Jesus' mother had at least one relative in in the priesthood, the father of John the Baptist, Jesus cousin. On His father's side, Jesus' family believed they were descendants of David through the House of Joseph.
    Tektons in Nazareth could have enjoyed a very good living as carpenters stonemasons and artisans, making ritually pure stoneware, a skilled trade, especially with four sons, even if they were held in contempt by the social elite. Clearly Jesus was highly intelligent and knowlegable about the Torah, impressing rich and poor alike.
    He was not lowest of the low born and he garnered respect even among Romans and Rabbis.

    Reza, you just something about Jesus being Krishina in india is not right I am from India and lived there for36 years and am now 75 and live in Arkansas. Christianity came to India in the first century These people were called St. Thomas Christians , their numbers were increased in 4th century by Christians fleeing Persia , and in the 6th. by people who fled Sryia in the 6th century, they used Sriac as the language of worship . These are the first Indian Christians (this mixture of people) These Christians have always spoken out when Hindus said Jesus and Krishina are one So in South India Krishna and Jesus are NOT the same . I know this because this religion was there before Portugese came the British came or Americans missionaries after independence. I have heard only Hindus say Jesus and Krishna are one by spreading this falsehood you are spreading in this matter is worse Mayen Kelly and her claim that Jesus was European. I am a fan of your work but please don't make false statements without studying the facts,.I know this for a fact not only because I'm from India and my people have been converted in the first century..

      The relation of Christianity and Judaism is very similar to the relation of Sunnism / Shiism religions and Islam in many ways. They sprouted from an older version of the religion, and ended up far far away. They are also vastly more popular than their roots. Look how many people practice Judaism in the world, 14 million. Christianity, 2.2 billion. Look how many people practice Islam, a few thousands at best. Sunnism+Shiism, and their sects reach up to 1.6 billion. One has to give credit to Christians who never claim they are practicing Judaisim, because they are aware of the fact that it's a completely different religion. Sunni and Shi'ia actually believe they are practicing Islam whereas their religions completely ignore Quran's messages by piggybacking man made hadith and sunnah of their choice. May the peace be with you! (Jedi-ism)

    I have not heard the full conclusion here yet - and a fool answers before the conclusion of a matter... but to hear that you say Messiah was illiterate was a straw that broke my back from hearing further... If messiah was illiterate - then how did this occur?:
    Luk 24:15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Messiah Himself drew near and went with them.
    Luk 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
    How could He expound on all the things written in the Holy Scriptures - if He could not read them Himself? He was far from illiterate, in my own humble opinion concerning the Truth...
    Read it all for your own self - but when Messiah was taken to Egypt as a youth... the schools of Egypt were far beyond what we have available today.
    If you want to evaluate the knowledge, wisdom and understanding of Messiah back then pal... allow me to tell you - and I mean not to be rude or persecuting... but you think that you are wise and full of understanding today - well Messiah back then would have put you to shame back then - just as He does right now.
    I will listen to the rest of what you have to say - but so far... you should have a gigantic spanking and then you should sit in the corner for the next 20 years... unless you repent. If I am wrong I pray you forgive me... but you do make me angry from your perspective so far... maybe when you are done my opinion will be changed - but until then... this part will be posted for all to see how I feel right now.
    Peace~

      Haik Biglari There was a huge messianic movement in Palestine in the beginning of the 1st century, people claiming to be the messiah, some better known and with a larger following than Jesus. When a messiah was executed, his followers packed up and went home. The difference in Jesus' situation is that his followers didn't for some reason. I'm agnostic and I still wonder about that.Although Jesus was not successful, just as the others, in fulfilling the Jewish prophecy of what the messiah was supposed to accomplish,his followers still continued. They had to change the definition of messiah.

    Why muslim countries are violent. what is the common denominators in all these countries? Simple answer is Islam. and why this common denominator causing all this problem. Did Reza sit back and think before he answer? If you started to see problems again and again on certain area, then any logical person will look back and think where is the problem. Instead of this self analysis, Reza is giving the same answer as other muslims or so called morally advanced westerners ie; IT IS THE COUNTRY'S PROBLEM OR PEOPLES PROBLEM NOT THE PROBLEM OF RELIGION ITSELF. The real question to be asked why all these countries with the same denominator causing problem? Is there a problem with the teachings in this countries? Is the Holy Quran itself is promoting violence ie; by saying killing is sin in one place and kill non believers in another 100 places.

    He's right in saying people have created their own versions of Jesus, but if you read the Bible for yourself you find that there is only one real Jesus. The problem comes when you look to denominations or other religions without reading the Bible. The answers are in the Bible open it up. Pray He will answer if you seek Him with all your heart. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" Matthew 7:7-8. Ask Him into your heart and He will guide you. He longs to bring each one of us home. God Bless. Ian McCormack testimony

    ***** It's because the religion is pretty barbaric in terms of understanding life. It lacks depth of thought and consideration, that is in terms of understanding life outside of what's observed at face value. Case in point, women being treated as lesser than men. It's a very basic view of life- formed during the time when women were dependent on men for safety. It suggests the idea that life here can't progress to a more loving and accepting reality. Yes, women aren't as strong as men, but does that mean they should bow down to them? If you think so, consider how you even exist today- it's because you were formed within a woman. They're pretty important. And anything that houses such simplistic ignorance as a primary teaching suggests pretty heavily the absence of real truth to why we exist. But no judgment toward just this- I think all religion has variances of ignorance, and is why religion isn't necessary to learn and grow within the true measurement for why we exist, which, IMO, is to learn to love.

Needed to discredit the legitimacy of religion with the exception being individual. For the insistent there needs in place third party liability coverage to protect the public at large to balance governments non taxable permission to perpetuate interpretations of copyrighted material from unemployed street performers whose curtain obviously refuses to fall even after thousands of years and inconvenient history At least American Idol contestants don't deny wealth as the motive for exposing oneself to criticism...if denied history, the religious calls to prayer witnessed on this page alone confirms the need for coverage.

The only difference between him and those he mentioned is, he hides behind his intellect. Be watchful of people in sheep's clothing. I pray that you will see through your own lens you're wearing and see Jesus as your Saviour, forgiver and lover of your soul. May God bless you.

      historical fact of Resurrection????!!!........actually in the bible, when people asked for jesus for sign for his "miracle", he said my miracle was the miracle of Jonah.....jonah was swallowed for 3 days and 3 nights....and he STAYED alive the whole time......jesus compared his miracle to to Jonah's.....it can't be the period cause again according to the bible jesus was "killed" Friday afternoon and rose on sunday morning....that's a day and half...therefore he meant about the actual not dying part...cause if someone falls into the water and get swallowed by a big whale, we all would think he is dead, but that is why it's a miracle cause he wasn't dead in the first place....same happened for jesus, he was nailed on the cross and left there and any person would think he must be dead....but he wasn't....i'm talking from biblical prospective.....regardless whether i believe in it or not.....Riza Aslan kept it within logical understanding of jesus from a historical prospective.

    Funny how he ended this supposedly scholarly talk with why he chose to become a muslim. I like everyone to see beyond this guy, hiding behind all these knowledge he knew about all religions as he claims.

    It seems to me that "the truth" of Mr. Aslan is "the lie" of anybody else. He has to paint it blue or red, or somehow...for us to understand the difference between a scientific truth and a religious "truth". He might believe in some god that is not at all appealing for the scientists!

    At 47:10 "No one that met or saw Jesus ever wrote anything down..." So much for the red text in the bible I guess!

    Seems incredibly presuppositional as his whole thesis counts on Mark's myth being an historical account...

    How did James become the leader of the Jerusalem assembly over Peter? Time and time again Jesus berated Peter and the other apostles for not having more faith in him.

      Timothy Chambers But if you understood the Holy Scriptures at all... you would see that none of the disciples or anybody else came to any real understanding of the Truth - till after Messiah laid down His Life and Took it Back Up Again. This was no mystery to Messiah or His disciples - just to christians and such that do not know what this is talking about:
      Luk 22:31

      And the Messiah said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
      Luk 22:32

      But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
      Kepha/Simon was not converted when Messiah was on the earth - and there are several places where Messiah spoke about how one must convert. These were lessons that could not be learned until Holy Spirit/Comforter was sent back, then the Holy Spirit guided all who were interested into conversion. None but Messiah Himself had the Holy Spirit permanently in Him... though some had Holy Spirit come and go, here and there to guide them to do things - like the High Priest declaring Messiah must die.
      Peace~

      Rev. Al-Yahnai Hawkins I understand all that. But how did James come into the picture?

      By Holy Intervention of course, like all of them came into the picture. Messiah picked them all, as He was led to pick them.

      Rev. Al-Yahnai Hawkins Ahh. Holy intervention! I see. I can understand why that's enough and we don't need to think on it any more. Thank you.

      Of course you say such things... but have no understanding as to what you are talking about and then the sarcasm flourishes...
      Have you ever read Yahchanan/John chapter 10? That would explain those who do have this Holy Intervention... but would be quite a mystery to those who have no idea that they should be keeping the 10 Commandments and the Laws that define how they Must be Kept... so I know where you are at. No offense meant, and no ignorant offenses sent toward me accepted. We cool...
      Peace~
