gotta love the difference between junk gen 1 civillian grade and Military issued gen 1, the best military grade gen 1 nearly overlaps the low grade gen 2 stuff, love seeing gen 1 that actually is better then nothing
ive got a set of atn night cougar goggles, gen1, and i think it either has the same tubes as the pnv57e, the ekran brand ep133 or the ekran pv8. im thinking pv8, because they seem a bit brighter and sharper compared to the ep133, and the phosphor is a yellow green.
Use my pnv57E’s alot in UK countryside , hunting and stuff , military gen 1 is classes /way better than any civilian gen 1 and matches most civi gen 2’s also
@@oom9battledroid569 I didn't... I just slide the battery in my pocket so I have easy access to the switches and buttons... I just let the cord run down my back to the battery... Now if you're wondering about the tube driver box that's mounted on the head gear... I just got a strap around it and the webbing... It helps balance the system on my head...

Yep, military gen1 is much better than civilian market gen 1
Thanks for the upload! Great reference for historically accurate gen 1 nvgs for a video I'm designing!
just used my set for the first time and was impressed with its performance
