Band-Maid loves taking their audience on a roller coaster ride with their music. On "Forbidden Tales" you get rock ballad vibes, then a hard rock banger, then a jazz interlude, then back to ballad, then back to rock banger. After you catch your breath the only thing you can say about Band-Maid is they are NEVER boring.
Masterful songwriting and storytelling 🔥❤️ Kanami wrote this after a loss of someone close( grandmother) and kept thinking ” What is life” etc..Saiki wrote the lyrics after that, thinking about forgotten cultures etc..Lovin’ this song 🔥❤️ They are on their own level. Greatest band of our time ❤️
My ears hear Chicago, a little Doobie Brothers, some Steely Dan, Jackson Browne, and more. It's like Kanami took all of the past good songs from my youth and condensed it, then she and the rest of the Ladies Distilled it, into a fine drink.
Very cool structure for this song - it's like 5 different songs, but the flow is still completely there. From that point, it's a move toward the progressive, which is always a good thing in my book.
The song plays as though you are flipping through the pages of a story book. It ebbs and flows and takes you to multiple places. Each place is truly special and warms your heart. No modern rock band puts so much thought into every note. If you can ever view one of Kanami's music scores for Unseen World you'd see what I mean. Otherworldly stuff ! 🤯👽
This is a great song by a great band. The music underneath the melodic vocals are much "heavier" than it seems... but that is pretty much the norm for Band-Maid. Thanks for sharing your reaction and always looking forward to the next one!
I've reached the point in my Band-Maid fandom that I try to absorb the new tunes myself before I check the reactors. Thanks for reacting to this, I respect you guys. This song has a new level of sophistication in composition. The pause with the crowd noise is _ballsy_ and different. If the new management scheme doesn't start loaning out Kanami as song writer for other artists... I dunno. Thanks for the reaction!
Thank you for continuing to support Maid's. This album in general, but especially this song, shows the ladies’ sophistication and maturity as individual musicians and as a band. BAND-MAID is constantly changing and showing us new worlds.
Maybe they should cover a Steely Dan song next! Heck, they could even collaborate with Donald Fagen! That’s speaks to the excellent of their work now. Remarkable.
Gentlemen, I know it's been about a month since you've reacted to this song and I watch all of your BAND-MAID reactions which are great. Thank you. That said, if you wanna enjoy some great, fun, jammin' type rock/blues/metal, please enjoy the on-line performance of WHY WHY WHY which was filmed during covid days. The bass riffs are under rated and amazing. At least, enjoy it on your own time if you don't want to react to it on TH-cam. Thank you for all of your reactions. th-cam.com/video/8QGEV9y438k/w-d-xo.html

The journey of a Band-Maid concert compressed into one song.

A masterful work. I urge people to listen to the original without the interruptions.
If you haven't yet check out Kanamis best solo an older song Unfair game .Put on your seat belt.
One of the best songs on the new album that doesn't have a video is "Letters to You". I really hope it gets a video.
🥰🕊️👀
🍺🥴
PRS Just presented a Kanami signature limited edition guitar only 200. First time to Japanese artist and it sold out in 1 day.
This is certainly not the most poppy song in the album, not the heaviest one neither.
💜💛❤💙💚

If we are the best fan base in the world, please react to their song “I’LL” which sadly doesn’t have an official music video. 🤘🏼
