Gary Moore King of the Blues Reaction 1
Debut of the new international Heavy Metal super project, a new musical adventure led by Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest) on guitars, with the amazing Scott Travis (Judas Priest, Fight, Racer X) on drums, Rex Brown (Pantera) on bass, and completing an all-star lineup, the incredible Ronnie Romero on vocals, at the best moment of his career. All these dream ingredients are topped off by a true colossus in production and technical controls, the great Andy Sneap, who once again delivers a simply perfect piece of work, with an ultra-balanced mix, placing all the instrumental brilliance of the combo in their rightful place. He gives prominence to Travis' drums, puts Faulkner's guitars in the spotlight, and, of course, hands all the leadership to Romero's vocals. Horns for a Halo is pure Heavy Metal, with no room for musical experiments. A quartet delivering raw power, but without neglecting polish and good taste, featuring top-level work from Faulkner on guitar and composition, with a lot of presence from Travis' drumming, as mentioned, and an outstanding Ronnie Romero on vocals, delivering one of his best performances yet. It's nothing short of impressive, proving he's in a remarkable phase of maturity. The album is both intense and melodic, with very organic songs, full of intelligent, magnetic riffs, and a compact, versatile, and realistic solo work, all crowned by Mr. Scott's colossal drumming, with his iconic double bass drums blowing listeners away. Standout tracks include the first single, "Do Or Die", pure, uncompromising classic Heavy Metal, the title track "Horns For A Halo", denser in its rhythmic patterns but just as efficient in terms of melody, the brilliant "Dirty Pig", drawing from the great classics of the genre, led by a magnetic vocal line delivered by the great Ronnie-watch out for the catchy riff right before the chorus. Then there’s "White Horse", another future classic, brimming with hypnotic dynamics and a tightly knit vocal line, with a slight nod to Alter Bridge in the chorus melodies. Finally, the "Sabbath-esque" "Downfall Rising" serves as the cherry on top. Excellent production, top-tier musicianship, and a handful of songs that show a great moment of inspiration from their creators. Could we ask for more? Thanks for this channel I just discovered, guys. Greetings from Spain!!
If you guys haven't already, you need to listen the live version of this song, that includes Black Hole. Better sound, and even more Bass funk going on. Please check it out!
I love this outdoor performance, but the video crew need to be fired. Worse camera editing and angles ever. Missed a lot of Misa and Kanami solos during Dice because the cameras where pointed elsewhere. What the heck?
Happy Holidays guys, had a lot of fun. See you next year.🎉🍺
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year guys.
I easily can vizualize the Golden Horde terrorising Eurasia with this version.
❤
Eden's Curse were awesome...unfortunately they broke up several years ago, but have hinted they may reunite at some point. While this track is awesome, I think I prefer the version with vocalist Nikola Mijić featured on Testament: The Best of Edens Curse.
What a great band!!! They have 3 killer albums with a 4th one on the way.
Check out singing with kasey donivan back to the land.
Loved this reaction. They are a great band for sure. This and "The streets don't lie" are the best songs AC/DC didn't write. I want to recommend 2 vinyl releases to you. Medieval Death LP and free DVD and the Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP. If you want to know more Google [Medieval Death LP and free DVD + Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP], then check audio, videos etc. If you are to bored to search and want the direct link, let me know \m/
Gentlemen, I know it's been about a month since you've reacted to this song and I watch all of your BAND-MAID reactions which are great. Thank you. That said, if you wanna enjoy some great, fun, jammin' type rock/blues/metal, please enjoy the on-line performance of WHY WHY WHY which was filmed during covid days. The bass riffs are under rated and amazing. At least, enjoy it on your own time if you don't want to react to it on TH-cam. Thank you for all of your reactions. th-cam.com/video/8QGEV9y438k/w-d-xo.html
Sounds like Otis Redding.
Cassandra seriously reminds me a lot of Lizzy Hale
I started listening to it after i saw the artwork on the cover reminded me of Eve in the Garden of Eden all jacked up after eating the forbidden fruit
Saw Gnome in the UK earlier this year - they friggin rock live man, ya gotta get to see em if you can
New cover coming 20.11.24, - If you are somehow interested. Metallica - Am I Evil ☺️ It would be an honor if you would check it out ☺️
Art is still the King of late night radio. Greatest ever ! King 👑
Guys take the next couple weeks and listen to and rank your top five Maid songs. Then go live and discuss.ECPC 🍺🥴🕊️

Musically complex but also brilliant.
Peter is killing it on the drums!
Great interview!! I love these guys
This is such a cool groove.
Blooming is killer. Kanami plays a solo straight out of 1987. Damn these girls are fantastic.
Interesting that you mention The Black Crowes, singer Garrett Barcus was in a Black Crowes tribute band called The Lost Crowes prior to joining The Band Feel.
I'm a devout fan of TTB, tried to get tickets when they came to my state, but I wasn't successful. These guys sell out quickly everywhere they go. These Aussies kill when they're live. Most of my favorite versions are live. Happy you've discovered them. They're the eargasm you didn't know you were missing, and your soul will yearn for more hereafter.
PRS Just presented a Kanami signature limited edition guitar only 200. First time to Japanese artist and it sold out in 1 day.
Dino jelusick.would be the best fit to dream theater if james labrie leaves or quit or even skid row
Very cool structure for this song - it's like 5 different songs, but the flow is still completely there. From that point, it's a move toward the progressive, which is always a good thing in my book.
KISS!
Hi guys been following your reactions to bandmaid which I’ve enjoyed ,regarding unusual experiences ,Many years ago I lived in the countryside in Cornwall ,uk .i was asleep and was woken up by a creaking on the upstairs hallway,I woke up and switched on my bedside lamp, the bulb blew ,I was like wtf and made my way out of bed to switch the main bedroom light on ,this also blew .i woke up at this point and realised I was dreaming ,I was awake now and a little spooked to say the least and switched on my bedside light to get out of bed and check out the noise in the hallway ,however when I switched the lamp on it blew the bulb ,at this point my heart was pounding ,eventually I got out of bed in the darkness and switched the bedroom light on expecting it to blow as well, but thankfully it came on ok ,when I checked the hallway and the rest of the house there was nothing,it’s something I have never been able to explain nor anyone else I have retold it to ,I don’t believe or disbelieve in the paranormal but it got me thinking
This man's career is rediculous in every sense of the word. He's a joy to experience live.
La mia pavana va giù di brutto e anche non si ha i capelli 🤟 oh yeah 👊🔥👊
Badass band soo underrated
Yes, he was so great, fenomenal! rip Gary ❤
🍺🥴
Back when the world started turning to Nu Metal, I discovered there were still bands in Europe (and especially Germany) that were keeping the faith with a more traditional metal approach. These guys were one of the bands that helped me get through those desolate years (LOL)
Another Dirty Honey. Cool, I guess... T
I saw them open for Dirty Honey last month and they were AWESOME!
Love em
Nah, they're definitely their own sound.
@@kcerka25 also try The Retrograde and High Fade
@@Topjunkie-r4s they really were!!!!!
If we are the best fan base in the world, please react to their song “I’LL” which sadly doesn’t have an official music video. 🤘🏼
Prog-Maid
You dudes like this?...Go check out the Jazz Avengers. Tow of the ladies here plays with that group. another group of talented ladies who groove!
Nothing like pretty ladies putting down the funk! Talented ladies for sure!
FYI Juna the bassist is no longer in the group (though she does still play guest with them sometimes) - her current projects are Jazz Avengers (if you like horns then they have 4 saxes...) and Muses which is more Fusion style. The sax player on this vid, Harumo, is also a guest player and friend of Juna.
Am I hearing Herbie Hancock? Those girls are GOOD!
Someone logged a complaint. The government showed up, raided the house to get the squirrel named peanut. The guy grabbed the squrrel, got bit. They uthenized the animals. Peanut wore a cowboy hat and had videos. The squirrel was there for 7 years.
Because the squirrel is more important the homeless person down on the corner that hadn't eaten 3 days hasn't shaved or taken a bath in 3 weeks but dead squirrels more important....😢😮❤😢 Let's spend the morning talking about that😊
It was more about goverment over reach. Raiding the home was rediculas.
A bunch of losers watched this Peanut crap. That's it
🤘🤘🤘
