Seriously, David; you could publish static or white noise, with an interesting visual; and I'd still listen. I love this one; it's a very nice change of pace for you...dark and cerebral. Nice work, brother.
Very few will understand this type of music. It's content creators like you and a few others that allow us to feel and hear sounds we've secretly always enjoyed. Really like what you did here.
Ancient ruins and the lost civilizations they represent are one of the story elements I love. Especially the way R.E.Howard and Edgar Rice Burroughs used them in their stories ! You could count on the character finding either monsters or remnants of ancient survivors being there. This brings to mind the story with CONAN, Red Nails ! Or Tarzan and the City of Gold !
Absolutely. Also the idea of their being planets out there with ancient alien ruins of a civilization but everything is long dead is a really fun idea. Like, just whole empty planets covered in structures by a species that hasn't existed for millions of years
@@Daniel_PageYes, it is inevitable. This planet is our tomb. Or at least one of them. Eventually, at some point our species and all its heirs will die out, no matter how many worlds we spread to. This one, for sure, will be encrusted with our ruins, scabrous with our buried slabs of concrete and crushed trash, buzzing, for awhile, with our nuclear waste. Our monumental towers will bake, freeze and corrode, day after day, month after month, year after year, decade after decade, century after century, for hundreds of millenia. They will collapse and sink into burial without a single living being left to understand them. The garbage we leave on the Moon will stand unchanged for a very long time. But after millions, perhaps a billion, years, even it will all be buried in dust or weathered down by cosmic particles. After a long enough time, it will be next to impossible to discern human beings ever existed. Keep in mind, this vision will _certainly_ come to pass.
I love your work! I am adding this track to my playlist to listen to when working on lost, dead, and abandoned places in my game mod. I hope you feel better soon.
I'd play this video game, looks like a world where building is subjugated to small, dense portions of architecture like Kowloon. Like Dredd but isolationist. You have to go in and free the population from a crime boss and their organization, and come out into a world just as dark as before.
Wishing you well and better times with your mental wellbeing mate. Your work is always welcome and appreciated, so hopefully you get some time to look after yourself as well. The art reflecting the mood of the artist is very interesting, so hopefully you might get some respite or expression perhaps out of doing so
I often do. While writing, thinking, feeling lost, regenerating, and many more. The nights are long and the only cool time these days - perfect to listen to marvelous soundscapes!

We, our civilization, are coming that way too. We’re on the same path.

That lone observer is pondering: I want to be there & I am glad I am not there. At the same time.

I do. I'm often coding away, and this kind of music helps me concentrate and lose myself at the same time, it's great!
