Amo suas reações, fato!!! Mas a princípio percebo uma certa resistência de muitas pessoas que assistiram Stupid Wife com a produção de Xeque-Mate. Acredito que as produções da Ponto Ação estejam crescendo muito junto com a idade e mentalidade das produtoras. Em Xeque-Mate vemos mulheres entendidas de suas carreiras, personalidades e sexualidades. A "dúvida" e receio sobre se sentirem atraídas por mulheres não se vê nessa produção, assim como é nítido que uma das protagonistas é a possível "vilã" dessa estória. E, isso é maravilhoso porque ninguém é 100% bom ou mau. Aqui se fala de realidades totalmente diferentes de Stupid Wife e eu estou amando ver isso, principalmente com as interpretações das atrizes. Aqui no Brasil não tem produções com protagonistas sáficas e a Ponto Ação está fazendo um trabalho maravilhoso de representatividade, principalmente se você acompanhar as primeiras produções dessa produtora. E, isso é de aplaudir de pé. Amamos Stupid Wife, mas aqui o enredo é outro. Creio que todos deveriam dar a chance de entender esse roteiro que é bem complexo e diferente, de certa maneira, de tudo que a Ponto Ação já fez.

Também adoro essa ideia do “vilão” ser uma pessoa real com seus próprios objetivos e suas escolhas sobre como irão alcançá-los, com seus lados bons e ruins.
Essa é a coisa maravilhosa. Xequemate tem potencial para se tornar tão profundo e complexo, mas primeiro as pessoas precisam estar dispostas a dar uma chance para que a história se desenvolva.

The actress thats playing Maya is acting her butt off. She be rocking that dark lipstick and eye shadow. I'm with you tho that I'm not interested at all in any of the other storylines. The pacing is still a bit slow in certain spots but these two make you pay attention and i guess thats the point. Let your stars shine. Its a nice cat and mouse feel for sure. Its not quite Val and Lu, thats a different type of sexy.They're just insanely beautiful. But these two women have something nice going too. I wasnt expecting all of this lol. Hopefully the story picks up soon because you're right that stupid wife had a dope storyline. It was very intriguing.

The only thing is that the series is following the fanfic and this is almost exactly how the fanfic is structured, with the reveals that give the story most of it's conflict coming later after the "chess pieces" of different events are in place.

I was just saying the other storylines probably needs to develop just a little bit quicker. Think about it we be reading fanfiction and they might not even kiss or do anything until chapter 57. There's a lot more patience when you're reading fanfiction and TH-cam don't have time for all of that lol.

I think the guy Agatha and Giovanna are talking about is the guy Christopher was fighting with, Heitor, the guy who supposedly committed the fraud but is blaming Christopher that he set him up and is now framing him. That’s who Agatha is saying pocketed money. It’s Giovanna lost in Manoela for me and trying to cover it up and saying “the person Agatha” lmaooo Giogio is gone GONE 😂😂😂 By the way, I don’t know why, but Agatha rubs me the wrong way. Because homegirl sometimes acts like a great friend, cares for Maya, but then makes some comments and looks at Maya in some way that makes me feel weird. Also, why is she trying to get into Maya’s laptop??? I don’t know why I feel like Ana Clara, Clarice and Agatha know each other and have the same purpose. AND maybe, Ana Clara and Heitor are lovers and is trying to help prove that he didn’t commit the fraud. 🙀🙀🙀I don’t know… 20:13, then you would love me because I am the queen of me myself and I 😂😂😂 I make it a purpose to treat myself at least once a month to a drink or a lunch at a restaurant or a movie or a concert or something… By myself, and in the company of my own peace 🥰🥰🥰 There is no better feeling. I also enjoy a solo getaway 3 to 4hr ride, that’s when I make the best decisions, sing my heart out , a whole karaoke moment , and cry, then laugh… Great release. 3. 27:13 So, story time for you to help you understand: from what I gather, and I think Clarice explained this to Giovanna in the next episode, Heitor and Christopher started this business together. Then Christopher betrayed Heitor, set him up claiming that he committed fraud and stole money, which then ended up in Heitor being excluded from the business and fired with no profit. Basically Christopher robbed the guy from his life savings and hard earned money AND blackmailed him to not push because if not he will send him to prison. Now back to this episode, this is Heitor of course livid and cursing Christopher out and from the looks of it, it seems like he has some incriminating secrets that he knows of Christopher which is why Christopher can’t really react the way he could have and can’t really send Heitor to prison. Also, I don’t even think Maya knows that full story. Which then makes me question: what DOES Maya know? Are they together in this? Because for some reason, I feel like Maya and Christopher’s relationship is really the type of “You can do whatever you want with whomever you want and wherever, but you’re mine and nobody else’s.” Something tells me they have that kind of open relationship but he still holds the power which makes it impossible for Maya to leave. Because she seems to genuinely like Christopher OR my mind is that dramatic and I am way off 😂😂😂😂 But that’s my theory and I’m sticking to it. 33:06 you got me dying 😂😂😂😂 “Allow me” 😂😂😂
4. Ending scene: Aaww it’s cute Giovanna thinks she can make decisions when Maya requests something. Also… is it me or this director of police or whatever his title is, he is too close to Christopher? Like why are they such friends? Why is he doing favors for him like that? Is it one of these things where the super rich and powerful guy of the city has a high rank officer in his pocket doing the dirty work for him, making illegal turn legal? OR is it that Christopher is THAT good of a liar that he knows how to mask his situationships and present the “Great guy with a legal business” facade to the police? Speaking of, what IS Christopher’s business? Import/Export? 😂😂😂😂😂 Cuz we know Maya has a gallery lol

I actually want to see how everyone’s character plays out because so far it’s not predictable where you can say this person is bad or this person is good. Ana Clara, Agatha, Clarice, Heitor, I want to know already how they fit in the story and who knows who. Who’s working with who? Something tells me Clarice (Natalie’s character) knows Agatha (the police girl who works with Giovanna) and it seems like Ana Clara knows Agatha too or is close friends with Clarice. And my gut is telling me that Ana Clara and Heitor are an item… I hope I’m wrong lmao because that would be too much for my heart to handle 😂😂😂

I don't know luv, I'm loving it so far. Maybe the fanfiction will help you? The story takes a while to reveal the main plot.
There is no intrigue, no romance, Luke warm chemistry and an extremely slow plot. The characters deep down don’t have that inner chemistry, it’s met with sloppy kisses and they throw in some tongue. I think the actresses are not in sync but are trying really hard to be.

🤷🏽♀️ I respectfully disagree. To me, there's quite a bit of intrigue just off the question of how all this ends alone. Perhaps there isn't romance in the sense of what you would expect from a loving relationship just yet but also, that's not quite xequemate's vibe initially. What there is is seduction, and an exploration of the balance of power in relationships, although there are the sweet moments if you look for them. I've seen the actresses in the BTS, in their lives etc and if anything, they seem very much in sync to me😄
