Hi friends! I'm back with two bathroom countertops that are very budget-friendly!! Contact paper and paint!! Check the description box above for links as well as a blog post with photos and details🙂 Have any of you tried these methods?? Let me know in the comments!!
Sweet Anita, you never disappoint! Have been awaiting this video as I have an old 40s-50s bathroom that just needs a wee refresh. I adore Victorian country and your ideas have inspired me to freshen it up. Some homemade towel trims from my mom's laces, an old Belgian lace curtain and Moms cut glass various containers for cotton balls, Q tips etc. Her pickle dish made a perfect soap holder. A little antique rug at the sink finished it off. I have used contact paper in the past for various updates but not yet tried the new countertop covering. Your rooms are simply gorgeous and so charming. And it all cost nothing. Oh yes my grandma's china chamber pot holds the toilet paper. So cute! I adore your home and it's esthetic. You are a jewel! Have a blessed Easter for He has risen !! 💜
Oh Linda you have some lovely sounding ideas friend!! Thank you so very much, and I hope you have a blessed Easter as well celebrating our risen Savior🙏🙏🙏
I adore that floral shower curtain! And the hand made towels from old remnants just gave me some serious inspiration!!! I have been binge watching your channel ever since I found it! Love all of your content and love your vintage/antique aesthetic. It’s just beautiful and right up my alley!
Thank you so much! Yes I love what they did for both rooms, and I’m so excited about the antique trim as well even though it was a lot of work it was worth it☺️☺️
Beautiful bathroom makeovers! I have used contact paper for many inexpensive fixes- including turning an ugly brown refrigerator white many years ago when I couldn’t afford a new one!
Thanks for showing the paint technique. I’m considering buying a house with navy blue countertops in the kitchen. I love blue, not for the counter 😅. This is a great option if I go ahead and put in an offer.
Thanks so much Janet!! I recently saw someone painting actual granite counters in a kitchen, and she also used Polycrylic to seal it as her first attempt with epoxy had yellowed, so I think it’s a great option☺️☺️
Looks so beautiful, I painted my kitchen countertops it's holding up pretty good except for right in front of the sink, I am going to have to repaint it again, enjoyed your video so much
Anita, how is your painted counter top holding up, thinking about painting my kitchen counters again, last time I didn't sand it and the paint in front of the sink has washed off thought I would try again this time sanding it

I’ve painted things white and used a large feather in brown paint and used it to paint faux marble.xxx🐝🐝🇬🇧

Very pretty! You did a good job. Those chenille trimmed towels are so sweet. I remember the chenille bedspreads from my childhood. 💕

Thank you Susan!! I keep telling myself all I have to do is paint it again if something like that happens. What did you use at the end to seal it?
@@WhisperingPinesHomestead I used the same thing you did to seal it

It is holding up great! I'm kind of surprised too, but it's not had any issues. Also make sure to use a primer, I think that helps too🙂
@@WhisperingPinesHomestead thank you ❤️
