Eccolo focoso, incredibilmente impulsivo. Qui è già il gioco del professore.
An absolutely beautiful and wonderful musicality in interpretation! A unique and inspirational, brilliant performance ! performance..simply out of this world! Bravo Maurizio! R.I.P Wendy Louise (Hall) [Pianist, Composer, a.o, and personal friend ]
If you're listening to it for the first time, I think a royal road performance without coloring is good. Well, I'll be back here again lol Personally, I also like the combination of Jochum and Gilels, Ashkenazy and Haitink. Abbado and Brendel are next.
Love this performance, not so much as his early recording with Abbado, but still wonderful. A young(er) Andreas Ottensamer playing clarinette at 24:11 I believe.

Brahm's music is so powerful and strong and Pollini makes it so absolutely fantastic❤
This isn't simply a concerto, this is THE concerto! Thanks Brahms, Pollini and Thielemann!

Vielen Dank, lieber Maestro Pollini!

24:37 My favorite part 💜💜

Perhaps it’s also due to the terrible audio quality. You can find the link to the official recording in the description.
