Glad you were ok after the fall, the ADV is like my Forza kind of bulky for those rutty roads love some of the upgrades you have done, I’m going to get some foot pegs and a throttle control for those long rides
If you watch it on a bigger screen you will see i was only going 25 km, my sunglasses didn't fall off. You will love the foot pegs and when you source the throttle control let me know i want that too, also the driving lights. looked on lazada but could not find what i wanted. the risers worked well too.
This bike was not designed to go off-road in the first place. It was meant for the tarmac and easy commuting, maybe Chiang Mai or Lampang/Lamphun/MHS loop. Stay on the asphalt and youi'll be ok. Stay save and gear up always.
Great to see that after what happened you got to realize important stuff, you were lucky. Also, consider that sometimes (maybe mosttimes) accidents happen due to others mistakes (dui or just plain stupid locals ..). So even more important to always stay focussed. My first thought planning my upcoming mhs loop: get the right gear! So first stop before getting on the bike: gearshop in chiangmai, throwing 40K baht on a full gear package! Shoes, gloves, the whole shabang. Take care, my friend. Compliments on the updates, love the footpegs, first time i see these, now also om my wishlist!
Helmet Shop in Chiang Mai, complete outfit Helmets blue tooth , full protective gear and pants for two, both Kartai and myself 16,000 baht, check it out the staff are great. Foot pegs 👌👍
Helmets are not only good for safety, but it keeps the UV off the head and actually makes the ride cooler, the longer the ride is. Also if you do not have the proper offroad tires, then you can not expect to have traction. Get the right tires and it will make a lot of difference.
I am sure the UV is an issue, but more important realizing first hand your not immune to stupidity. Several of my friend who ride pointed out the useless tires for the terrain. and of course lack of full gear. if you watched the entire video, you will hear that although i have a lot of experience on big bikes on good roads, i severely lack off road experience. Thanks for the comment and the advice
I no its very hot in Thailand but Please wear a helmet....i was told a long time ago...."Would you prefer the feeling of hot sweat running down your face or the feeling of hot blood" ....safe to say i wear a helmet regardless of the conditions or shortness of the journey.
As you said in the video the soil was soft and that probably saved the bike and you. I’ve been there myself, riding on the back of motorbike taxis with no helmet. Anyway you were not badly hurt and that was good.
Still lesson learned. I got lucky and didn't end up in the Song Hospital or worse write off the bike! Motorbike taxis, see it all the time no helmet, hope you were as lucky as I and escaped injury!
Hi Chuck😂 had to happen sooner or later. Glad to see you survived your dump, Put on a bucket. You can't afford to loose any brain cells if you Crack your egg. Still in Cuba for another week and yes it's HOT!!!
You claim to be getting 400 to 450 km on a tank? I have serious doubts as I had the forza and you typically get 25 km/l and the tank I under 12 liters or 300 km range. To get what you claim, you would need 33 to 37.5 km/l. Show the screen to see what is accurate?
Actually you are correct it is more like 300 to 350. Filling the tank with hi test 90 runs around 400 Baht. Guilty as charged, thanks for the comment. I would imagine if I had thousands instead of hundreds of subscribers i would have been called out more. Either way its an amazing bike, and that's coming from a bonafide Harley Rider: th-cam.com/video/QfpB8-RY6jA/w-d-xo.html
I filled up last night it, last bar was flashing, took 380 baht to fill, screen showed 350 km traveled and 29.5 average km/l. thought you might want to know. Its a great bike, with great foot pegs!
Wear a helmet, watch the grey matter always, in a lot of cases a bang to the head might not kill all the time, but cause devastating consequences to your quality of life, from a biker wear a helmet at all times
I'll be picking miine up in Hua Hin in January. Doing same mods . Cheers, great stuff!
I have a few more planned but got a wedding to attend to first lol. You will love the bike.
Hey buddy why you don't use any protection gear ,helmet ,gloves i hope next time will used 😂
My heart felt message explained why, it was at the end of the video, but yes i do now.
