Mr and Mrs Brown, I love your videos! I've been watching them for a few years and you are a refuge in these uncertain times. Thank you so much. God bless you.
I grew up with honey, lemon, and whiskey. If my throat gets scratchy or I get a cough, I always go for honey and lemon. I just bought some lemons and ginger, so I think that I need to make a jar of this. Thank you!
I'm gonna make that, thank you! Sore throats are the worst! And thank you for the reminder that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us! God bless you.
A lady taught me how to make this Years ago when my kids were little. It is a MUST for winter colds and even asthma. It cleared up the phlegm in Mo Time
Wow! Thanks a lot. I just loved your recipe. I grate ginger, add lemon juice and honey. I take a spoonful of it on empty stomach everyday. It really works! Earlier I had severe acidity and used puke often. Ever since I started consuming this lemon ginger mix with honey, no acidity, no vomitings and I am really feeling good.
It sounds soothing. I have made garlic, ginger and honey but this recipe is new for me. I just ordered lemons and fresh ginger so I can try it. Thank you!
Maybe Mr. Brown would do a short message with scripture and prayer for us here in Florida? Maybe a livestream? It would encourage us as we go through this second hurricane.
God bless you for sharing this. Love this recipe. My son was sick with asthma and just could not improve, so started making him hot tea with the honey, but forgot about the lemons in my refrigerator, but he quickly recovered. I will make this and keep it in the refrigerator all winter long. Thank you so much for sharing. Have safe travel and joy with your Granddaughter and family. Praying for Beau.
I uses that all the time and wow it does save you going to the doctor . My grandma made that all the time and gave uses some for cough and sore throat and runny nose. You both have a wonderful three days with the grandkids and babies . God bless you be safe .
HOWDY FOLKS, THIS FERNEMT SOUNDS GOOD!!! WOULD ASK FOR PRAYERS FOR US ALL HERE IN FLORIDA!!! HERRICANE HELENE, JUST CAME THRU & NOW THE HURRICANE MORTIN, IS EXSPECTED TO MAKE LAND FALL WED./THUR, A CAT. 4 OR 5. Do take care. Fl.
My friend brought us a honey concoction that really helped us. Not fermented, but it did have to sit a few weeks. She put lemon, garlic, ginger and turmeric in the honey…lots of garlic. It really helped. Also I made an oregano tincture with vodka and it also sit a month, boy it worked as well with chest congestion.
Thanks Ms Lori, I think I will make some of this. I just made 4- 1/2 pints of honey and garlic, it’s fermenting now. I also take 1 to 2 tsp of raw honey daily. Delicious and so good for you. It’s good to get the fermenting started now so it’s ready when you need it. We grow mullein and I have tincture made, plus Ive made the mullein ear drops for ear pain. All trying to be ready for this winters cold and flu season. Appreciate you so much
I just got organic lemons and I raised ginger. Getting busy ! Thank you❤. I was sick a few weeks ago and just used our lemon juice and honey. Fermented will be even better 😊
Prayers for your granddaughter. Hope she is fine. My 9 year old granddaughter had to go through that sleep test and had to have her tonsils and Addnoise taken out the next week. That really helped her breathing.
I’m so excited to make this! I like to prepare for the “germy” season! We love tea in the cold months and this would be a delicious addition. Thank you and be blessed!
I'm learning so much from you. Did you learn to ferment as a child, or when you were grown? My childhood self didn't even know about home fermenting. My husband's grandmother made crockpot pickles and sometimes, sauerkraut. But alas, that was before I knew her. When I took a fermenting course at the Folk Center in Mt. View, Arkansas, most people thought I was taking a course in beer making for crying out loud. I have learned now that about anything can be fermented for eating. I will definitely be making this recipe. Looks like a very useful and even necessary thing to keep. Thanks!!
Thank you so much for sharing. I will be making this. I have some ginger growing in a pot that I have brought in. It is doing so, good! Prayers for your grandchildren. ❤
I do grow my own ginger and garlic. It does like the cooler weather. Elderberry syrup or tincture is also good to have all year round in your medicinal pantry.
Thank you, Miss Lori! This will be a great addition to my healing pantry! It's so wonderful that you are able to help your granddaughter like that! The bond between you will be even stronger ❤ Praying!
God bless you Miss Lori and Mr. Brown. Thankyou for this video I am going to make this in about 5 minutes 😊God speed on your travels and prayers for your lil one ❤
Sounds like a winner for my husband and me. I made a garlic honey ferment but we didn't care for it. This would really hit the spot right now woke up with a head cold on Saturday wish I had some now but I will get some made up quick thanks for sharing this Ms.Lori.
I love the garlic and honey …..the longer it ferment , the moor the garlic tastes like candy ….cut your garlic in small pieces…..I take some every morning…im 84 and don’t get cold or flew…no shots either🙏🏻
Thank you for this. I'm glad you can help your family, being with McKenzie when she's having her test. It takes a big chunk off of her Mama's plate and will mean so much to have her grandparents with her. God bless.
I do something similar but I add garlic and onion and Mullen to my ginger and lemon honey mixture for cough medicine . Spoonful as needed every few hours.
Thank you for sharing this Miss Lori. I have never fermented anything, but I am going to make this. I enjoy tea and I can see adding this to some tea and drinking it when not feeling well will help. I hope your granddaughter did well with her test. ❤
The ginger here has been beautiful all year, I buy the organic with plenty of eyes and grow my own, it takes a really long time but it is so good and the leaves smell wonderful. When I pull it I freeze most of it. I bet that smells good.
A good thing about this, diabetics can use it too because honey does not raise your sugar level! Such good info! Can’t wait to try this in the fall when my Mum allergies get the best of me!
Thank you for this video. I do grow ginger in a pot as I live in a cold climate. The ginger came from the grocery store originally and I’ve had it for a few years now. It gets harvested and I save a bit and repot it again. It’s just nice to have my own on the windowsill beside the parsley, hibiscus and geranium.
My daddy was a pharmacist so I did not grow up with these natural remedies. This sounds delicious so I'm going to make some! I'm glad you'll be able to stay with your granddaughter in the hospital. I bet yall have fun! Take care of yourselves--see you next time 😊
Hi Miss Lori! Guess what I’m including in my Christmas gift baskets this year - fermented lemon ginger honey! I made up several half pint jars. Cute! And useful too. Thank you for sharing your recipe! 😊
Thank you Ms.Lori for showing this. I plan to make the honey lemon and ginger ferment and I thought that this would taste great as a shrub as well. I have a collection of shrubs. This way I don't drink soda's. Plus it's better for you. I grew turmeric this year. I planted some ginger late. I'll bring it in the house when it begins to get cold.
I also have home made lemon honey in my refrigerator. It works so good to help when we are congested. I'm 79 and my mother always had this in place of cough medicine.
Thank you!!! Just remember that cooking (heat) kills the probiotics formed from fermentation. The benefits of the honey, lemon and ginger are OK with the heat. Cant wait to make batches for my family. Thanks again.
Thank you! love lemons, love ginger abd love honet!! sounds like a winwin🤪 I've done this with sliced onions and honey layered ... makes a lively syrup for same thing.
Thank you for showing us old people new tricks to feel better lol love yall

I enjoy eating the lemon and the peal also as well as the honey so soothing.
Put that lemon in your tea cup to consume it while drinking it. It’ll break any phlegm that’s in there.
@ladonnapasco...eating lemon and lemon peels will destroy the enamel on your teeth.
God bless you Miss Lori. Your grandchildren are blessed to have you and Mr Brown for grandparents!
Awe Thank you
Lori.. you have the sweetest smile.
My husband and i love watching you two...
