The perfect Gilbert Blythe/Jonathon Crombie for me. He was the best & always will be the Gilbert for Anne.
I first saw this series in 1994 and I watched it for GILBERT BLYTHE AND LATER FOR THE BEAUTIFUL STORY AND SCREENPLAY AND THEN FOR ANNE IN THAT ORDER!! Gilbert was and is one person I can watch again and again and find again and again and not feel LOST! There's something about this series and Gilbert and Anne that is so endearing!

I watch this often - very frequently these last two weeks - and just smile and cry. A beautiful story enacted by a beautiful couple and Jonathan's passing is just a sad ache, only alleviated by being able to share our love and admiration of him with fellow kindred spirits. He is forever and ever my Gilbert and a first and lasting love. Thank you so much for sharing x
