Who's kit is it? Finished, the DT will have around 28 or so parts to paint (including the belt box covers). All depends on the kit. Some have more parts to assemble. For example, in Jim's kit the thighs are one piece. I think Andy's kit does it differently.

Roger I forgot to say look on TH-cam @ Adam savages making of Chewbacca's head. VERY Informative. Maybe helpful to you. Please have a look. Scott

I’ve seen that. Tom Spina builds the masks for Lucasfilm. Adam spent $20k on that mask.
I have no idea how many hours, but ive been working on it since last November. Stalled for a couple of months, but pretty consistent work.

    Hi Roger.
The Never ending saga of Chewbacca!! Now how many hours do u have into this?? Also wanted to let you know I ordered new death Trooper Armour. In fibreglass!! I'm a bit concerned about cutting it out. Did u cut yours out if yes with what ??. I was thinking Dremmel an belt sander?? What's your thoughts on this. U NO I value your input. Hope your doing well, hope to hear from you soon. My friend. Scott😁😁😁

Way to go! It’s a good build. I would use a dremel to cut it. Although, I didn’t modify anything until after I got approved. Once you get approved you can adjust it to be comfortable. On the bucket, I used the dremel to cut the eyes out, then used a file to clean it up.
If you are getting Andy’s kit, you won’t need to paint, just polish. Jim’s kit will need priming and paint. Let me know if you need advice on that stuff.
