Rather than cutting the rubber plunger, a more positive approach is to cut a 1mm thick spacer/shim and place it below the p.c. board. The result is the infra red sensors are 1mm further away from the rubber plunger...effect the same as cutting but reversible if needed, or if still insufficient clearance simply use another spacer..but everything is precise and reversible!
My kids couldn't be trimmed they are hard plastic. So I used some small heat shrink and made 2 rubber spacers for the two screws that hold the board on it worked for me.
Hi and thank you for this. We fixed one side of our board. Now it does absolutly nothing. No more shaking, yet no spinning wheel now. Any advice? Thank you! I bet we cut the rubber too much? I thought we cut just a small amount.
Good vid. Helped me fix my son's hoverboard cuz it was shaking crazy. The screws that hold the spindle in place were loose.
Your comment helped me fix my daughter's! Haha saw the loose bolt comment and sure enough same issue with the one I was working on

Omg! Me too. I think I cut too much! 🫣
I ordered a replacement battery but my hoverboard is showing a orange battery light and red Q light
It worked! but like he says DONT cut off too much or it will ruin the board (until u get new plungers).. Just a sliver did it for me
I think we cut to much. Can we really get new plungers???
I did it on both sides my hover board still vibrates
Good job
U really helped
You made mine worse but it’s probably my fault
Definitely a dumb way to correct the issue. The proper way is to use shims to elevate the PCB.
you broke my friend hover board Neely
? What?
