    Hi! Thanks for the video. I think you answered my question - Canadians are able to stay at AirBnBs? I think there was a time Canadians weren't able to do so.

    • @YaniandFabioTravel
      @YaniandFabioTravel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! you can definitely stay in airbnb. it is also safe. Something to note that i didn't mention in the video is that they will write down your name and your passport number on a notebook for their records. Apparently, this is for the tourist embassy? This is totally normal.

      In 1997, the Cuban gov't started allowing Cuban citizens to legally rent a room in their home or apartment to tourists, providing they have the proper license. Also, Airbnb is only one booking site for casas particulares - you can book a casa online through many different sites or by contacting the casa directly.

    Hi there! Fellow Canadian flying to Cuba at the end of January. It’s my first and I’m wondering if we need visas? And if so, what is the process for Canadians? Loved your video 💕

    Not a good year for travel to Cuba! 🇨🇦 Juste came back from Cuba, Cuba is getting bad, in 3 star hotel I stay in Varadaro, they didn’t clean my room for 6 day and I have to do my garbage 🗑 by itself. It was no clean beach towels
    no glass to drink juice in breakfasts, staff was arrogant. I went to Cayos, Varadero and Havana, very limited night life nothing, I been in Cuba 🇨🇺 many times before but this time is different, terrible food no veggies 🍅 No wander number of tourists in Cuba is down this year, hotel’s workers are spoiled, not good time for winter vacation this year.

      “Extra” is defined by the ever-so-scholarly UrbanDictionary.com as “excessive, dramatic behavior; doing the absolute most.”

    I find your use of the verb “lived” quite awkward. You don’t “live” in a place for week and a half. You “visit” or “stay”. Otherwise nicely informative.

      Cuba has a lower crime rate than the USA, most of it’s latin american peers, turkey, saudi arabia, etc.

    No mean to be rude at all. But why do so many foreigners and specially canadians like cuba so much? I'm sure its colorfull and so different. But doesnt it make you feel sad? The way people live there opressed and with so little? Dont you think is a bit unfair ? W all due respect

    • @YaniandFabioTravel

      many other countries in the world have so little... like my country Philippines.. and most of south east asia. But for some reason... just a weird observation of mine... people in those countries are a lot happier and living life to the fullest than most people in Canada.

    • @joshxx2392
      @joshxx2392 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YaniandFabioTravel that is probably truth. But happiness isnt really measurable imo and neither is the correct parameter to measure development. My point was that a lot of unfair things happens in cuba. Their government abuses of them and practically enslaves them paying them 28$ a month. And I just wanted to know if canadian would ever want any of that for canada? Or if they just enjoy seeing it a few days on their vacations and thats it. And if they enjoyed it, I would like to know why? Not really being rude just curious again

    • @YaniandFabioTravel
      @YaniandFabioTravel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @localincuba9363

      @@joshxx2392 Many people stay away from Cuba for those reasons - as a type of silent protest. Others go so that they can patronize local private businesses as a way to support the Cuban people. Tourism is a very big contributor to their economy, both privately and to the state. The other big thing is that the locals, as with any other foreign destination, have a set of unique skills and characteristics - we can learn so much from them (ie patience, fortitude, ingenuity). You can love the Cuban people without loving their government.

      Candadians get a 6 month visa. More than any other country.
