Ahhh, Tommy Pederson and the bass trombone(s)....warms my heart with memories. In the 1970s there wasn't a whole lot of serious stuff written for bass trombone (performance or studywise). Tommy did address some of the needs of the bass trombonist. I played all the Pederson stuff back in the day, from etudes to duets to solos. Still hope that someday you will do my favorite of his, Blue Topaz. Randy Hawes? That explains your rich, mellow sound, even in the very lowest of notes (you drop down on low notes with the elegance of a bird gently perching on a thin branch). As usual Chuck, great job! Thanks for another video!
