Yes! I love the fact that you have fun with your trombones and arrangements. I did an arrangement of this tune back in the mid-80s for high school pep band (yes, I was a public school band director back in the day, too). In fact, most of my pep band and marching band's arrangements were custom, done by me (and I did not try to emulate the drum corps sound). I told you in the past that I was not much of an arranger for trombone ensembles (only had one arrangement I really liked), but I was pretty good at arranging for bands. But enough of me. You are a great arranger for the trombone. As we have all come to appreciate, you always do the tune and the trombone justice with your arrangements. And as always, I'm always glad that I listened! Thanks for the video! P.S. I like turtles, too!

I have always loved this song and I am so glad you performed this one…in your own perfect style. ❤

When I hear this song, a couple of things come to mind. First, I think about my high school pep band, where the low brass section created an arrangement that we played at ball games. I also remember the movie Ernest Goes to Camp, where they catapult turtles in parachutes at the construction workers. It’s a corny, simple, and fun song, and I think my embrace of the silliness shows. Since the busy gig season is approaching, I’ve already completed my next video for December. Get ready for a Christmas mash-up that no one asked for but actually turned out pretty cool!

Hard to imitate a classical guitar with the trombone...but you didn't. You firmly grasped the guitar's motifs and made them the trombone's! Nicely done! This was another I did not know and had to find a recording of the original. Again, you did the original justice and the trombone(s) justice as well. And as always, I was glad I listened to it! I'm dumbfounded...don't really know what to say. Played bass trombone for 40 years and always thought the modern bass trombone rendered the contrabass trombone obsolete. I even believed an Eb tuba was better than using a contrabass trombone. You have proved me wrong again. Great arrangement by Sadler and an even greater performance by you! I just finished working on a contrabass trombone solo that Brian wrote as a follow-up to his concerto I recorded over three years ago now... It was a lot of fun and a great opportunity to work on my contrabass skillz. Please enjoy all the glamor shots of my newish-to-me contrabass!

Wow! YOu've outdone yourself here. Been years since I saw the flick, but did give the original Riddle of Steel & Riders of Doom a listen to after I listened to your arrangement. You did the original justice, the trombone justice, and yourself proud! Bit of trivia here: Conan the Barbarian (1982) was the last movie I ever saw in a drive-in theater. Thanks for a phenomenal arrangement!!!

This is probably my most ambitious arrangement yet. Basil Poledouris' Score to these scenes is absolutely some of the finest movie music ever written and was a bit overwhelming to reduce from a giant orchestra with choir to trombone ensemble. I'm looking forward to covering more someday. What do you want to hear from the Conan soundtrack?
