Litra EA - Denmark's first electric locomotive

In the last few years, DSB's EA locomotives have run very limited daily operations. The older technology and lack of spare parts make it difficult to maintain stable operation. In the future, DSB wants a more modern and uniform fleet of both train sets and locomotives, which will reduce the costs of maintaining and training locomotive drivers than today. Therefore, EA will be the first locomotives to be replaced by the new vectron machines that will arrive in Denmark during the autumn of 2020.
The EA locomotives will still run on the Danish rails until the new vectron locomotives begin to take over regional traffic on Zealand. So let's finally grab a ride with the EA3022, and at the same time encourage you others to take the last few pictures before we say goodbye to the letter EA at DSB.
