      Amen! Now read the Context.
      John 8:31-59
[31] So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, [32] and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” [33] They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?” [34] Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. [35] The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. [36] So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. [37] I know that you are offspring of Abraham; yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you. [38] I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.” [39] They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would be doing the works Abraham did, [40] but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did. [41] You are doing the works your father did.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father-even God.” [42] Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. [43] Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. [44] You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. [45] But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. [46] Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? [47] Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.” [48] The Jews answered him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?” [49] Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me. [50] Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge. [51] Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” [52] The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’ [53] Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?” [54] Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’ [55] But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. [56] Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” [57] So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” [58] Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” [59] So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

      @SyahidanIbnMokhtar 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@a_person737 no, it doesn't only mean submission, it meant submission to the only one true God, and by extension, submitting to the prophets and acknowledge them, because prophets brings messages from God. Thus, you have to submit to the prophet of your time. So you submitted to whom? Paul? He's not a prophet. The final prophet is Muhammad ﷺ. If you're not submitting to the message he brings, you're not a Muslim, just as those people that accept Muhammad ﷺ but didn't accept previous prophets. And by acknowledging that Muhammad ﷺ a final prophet by his messages, there's no other prophet after.
And equating mormonism, a proven fraudulent religion, that's an idiotic move. What a joke for people like this, if you lack intellect, and even basic tenets of what we muslim claims, please don't jump in, otherwise a fool on the street will be a genius in comparison to you.

This is one of the many reasons why David thinks Islam may have been a heretical christian sect at the beginning.

Exactly. There are plenty of examples where the Quran corrects the bible. How can anyone really believe the prophet peace be upon him was (totally affirming) something he often corrects!
And if you say (partial affirmation) then that's just the Islamic belief, where is the dilemma!
This is the real Islamophobic dilemma

Here is another example. In the Bible it is said that Prophet Aaron misled Israel into idolatry by making the Golden Calf:
*When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.” Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” [Exodus 32:1-5]*
A little further on in the same chapter it is said that Moses ordered the Levites to kill all their kinsfolk, their friends and their fellow countrymen who had been guilty of the sin of calf-worship:
*Then he said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.’ ” The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.” [Exodus 32:27-29]*
Now the question arises: Why was Aaron not killed if he was the inventor of the calf-worship? Why didn’t the Levites ask Moses to kill his brother Aaron who was the real sinner just as they were asked to kill theirs?
The Bible also says that after this Moses went back to God and prayed to forgive their sins or blot him out of His list of the living but God answered:
*Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. [Exodus 32:33]*
But we learn from the Bible that the name of Aaron was not blotted out, but, on the other hand, he and his sons and his family were given the charge of the sanctuary and the office of priesthood (Numbers 18:1-7).
Thus it is quite evident from the internal testimony of the Bible itself that it is corrupted.
By contrast, all of these issues are resolved when we read the Qur'anic account of this incident:
*Aaron did say to them, ‘My people, this calf is a test for you. Your true Lord is the Lord of Mercy, so follow me and obey my orders,’ but they replied, ‘We shall not give up our devotion to it until Moses returns to us.’ [Qur'an 20:90-91]*
So in the Qur'an Aaron is free of the major sin of idolatry and in fact orders the Israelites not to worship the golden calf.
Moreover, the Qur’an points out that it was not Prophet Aaron, but rather an individual called Samiri who made the golden calf:
*They said, ‘We did not break our word to you deliberately. We were burdened with the weight of people’s jewellery, so we threw it [into the fire], and the Samiri did the same,’ but he produce an image of a calf which made a lowing sound, and they said, ‘This is your god and god of Moses but he has forgotten.’ [Qur'an 20:87-88]*
*Moses said, ‘And what was the matter with you, Samiri?’ He replied, ‘I saw something they did not; I took in some of the teachings of the Messenger but tossed them aside: my soul prompted me to do what I did.’ [Qur'an 20:95-96]*
The Qur’anic account not only presents Aaron in a manner that is befitting of a great Prophet of God, but it also does not contain any of the inconsistencies present in the Biblical narrative.

Also Very interesting: if you look up exodus 32:35 it says the Lord was angry with Aaron (as) for setting up the idol and brought a plague to the people for it , but if you actually look up exodus 32 in the Dead Sea scrolls there is no verse 32:35 , it ends like at verse 30 in one version, while in the other version it ends at verse 34.
And this is the case for most verses actually, they are not readable in the Dead Sea scrolls so they translate it falsely by using the traditional masoretic reading and call it Words in italics, they write them in the translation but they aren’t actually part of the real Dead Sea scrolls in Hebrew

We did not find any writing that mentions the Jews or their prophets, but the real history speaks its word. There is no trace of the Hebrews in Palestine, but the truth always prevails in Yemen. The inscriptions recorded the history of the prophets of the Torah, Abraham, Hud, Solomon, Pharaoh and others. The Masoretic texts aka the Hebrew Bible was only available after 900 CE. The Bible available to the Christian & Jewish clergy was the various versions of the Septuagint. And the DSS (Dead Sea Scrolls) do not pre date the Septuagint. Unless the Prophet (saws) was literate in Koine Greek, the language of the Septuagint, which he was not, there is no argument to be made that he copied the Masoretic texts that were not available until 300 years after his death. BTW, there were many Septuagint texts that did not survive and the ones that managed to survive were only available to Christian monastic clergy who were constantly erasing the texts and interpolating what they thought was appropriated. The Quran does not address the Masoretic texts or the various codices of the Septuagint. The Quran addresses texts and oral traditions available to the Christian, Jewish, Mandaean, Gnostic and other tribes in the 7th Century Arabian Peninsula. Arguing with anybody who uses the Masoretic texts or the Septuagint as their source material for criticizing the Quran. is a useless endeavor. None of these texts were available in the 7th Century Arabian Peninsula.

However it also dont recognise the biblical stories in todays Bible it is a very intresting corpus with a very rich paradigm and cosmology and its theological claims are also very fasinating.

The quran is originally partly (the so-called "meccan" surahs) a christian preaching book used by the anti-trinitarian jewish-christians called Nazarenes, they are called "nasara" (نَصَرَ) in the quran, while the trinitarian (orthodox byzantine) christians whom they fought and hated are called "mushrikuns" (مشركون) ie "associators" or "polytheists" because they associate Jesus to God (which is "shirk" شِرْك that opposes to Allah's unicity called "tawheed" تَوْحِيدُ ).
Therefore clearly the first "muslims" (not yet called muslims but mumineen ie. believers) were in fact christians.

Your theory fails since it is made clear in the Meccan verses of the Quran that the Meccans were worshipping idols and angels as the daughters of Allah, and they made jinn partners with Allah so they were not Christians:
"Now, have you considered ˹the idols of˺ Lât and ’Uzza, and the third one, Manât, as well? Do you ˹prefer to˺ have sons while ˹you attribute˺ to Him daughters? Then this is ˹truly˺ a biased distribution! These ˹idols˺ are mere names that you and your forefathers have made up-a practice Allah has never authorized. They follow nothing but ˹inherited˺ assumptions and whatever ˹their˺ souls desire, although ˹true˺ guidance has already come to them from their Lord." Quran 53:19-23
"Ask them ˹O Prophet˺ if your Lord has daughters, while the pagans ˹prefer to˺ have sons. Or ˹ask them˺ if We created the angels as females right before their eyes. Indeed, it is one of their ˹outrageous˺ fabrications to say, “Allah has children.” They are simply liars. Has He chosen daughters over sons? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? Will you not then be mindful? Or do you have ˹any˺ compelling proof? Then bring ˹us˺ your scripture, if what you say is true! They have also established a ˹marital˺ relationship between Him and the jinn. Yet the jinn ˹themselves˺ know well that such people will certainly be brought ˹for punishment˺. Glorified is Allah far above what they claim!" Quran 37:149-159
"And they attribute ˹angels as˺ daughters to Allah-glory be to Him!-the opposite of what they desire for themselves." Quran 16:57

"Verily We revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him, and We (also) revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isac and Jacob and the Tribes, and Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron, and Solomon, and We gave David the Psalms."
and also in 5:43 "And how should they make you a judge, while with them is the Torah, in which is Allah’s judgement? Yet in spite of that they turn their backs [on Him] and they are not believers."
that We revealed the same message in the previous scriptures, and that We sent down Qur'an to confirm them, and also confirms, that everything which is in the Quran was already revealed in previous Holy Scriptures but People of the Book (Jews and Christians) corrupted them according to their own desires. So Allah revelead them again in Quran but this time Allah took the job to preserve it from getting distorted or corrupted.
But when they find something similar in their own books which confirms the authenticity and truth of Qur'an rather than turning to it they start blaming that Quran copied our books, smh 🥴
