Hey guys! As I've said in the description this is possibly the last upload on God of War. I can't thank everyone enough for the amount of support I've recieved on my videos, it's made everything worthwhile. I literally started making TH-cam videos around 4 months ago just to share one of my hobbies that I'm very passionate about: gaming. Although making videos has cut into studying for assignments and exams, I honestly want to become more serious about TH-cam for the future by increasing the quality of my content. "God of War doesn't let you feel like a god"- Most reviewers. Clearly they never bothered to hone their skills and get the end game gear like you did. Well done.
You know this set and the entire NG+ thing was added months after release,right? Why would any reviewer said anything different back then since this didn't exist?
Well for me it wasn't really anything to do with the gear or abilities. It was more to do with how they handled Kratos' weapons and his strength. The axe just felt like a twig with a piece of tissue paper stuck onto the end, not a giant axe. It FELT like the mocap prop they used honestly. The axe wasn't even the worst of it, not compared to his spartan rage. Pretty much all of those moves just felt like there was no weight or power behind them. Sure, KrAtoS puNcH ThiNg iT Go FaR!!1! but it just felt like the enemy then had no weight. For Kratos' strength, the way it was portrayed during that one scene with your first fight with Baldur, when Kratos and Baldur are having their little arm-wrestle and the ground and rocks start breaking because of the massive amount of force having to be outputted somewhere made it feel like there was actual strength being shown there. Then again, the rest of that fight just felt off. When Kratos first charges into Baldur and runs through a tree and a rock, it didn't feel like he was an unstoppable force meeting a rock, and crushing it. It felt like a small children running through damp napkins. The portrayal of his strength was just so hit and miss throughout the game that it was infuriating at times. No consistency.
I like how Sigrun just instantly comes out of the tear and lays you out. Like she knew damn well players abused her sisters' wake up animation for ez hits, and she was having none of it.
I like how in the final fight, you have control over more and more of Atreus' actions in the QTE's, showing that Kratos trusts his son to act on his own.
A little minor detail I love about this game: When fighting Baldur, no matter where you are on the map, the transition screen (when you throw Baldur or he uppercuts Kratos) always puts you back on center or near the area of the next portion.
They also frame the action to keep your attention away from any possible margin for error (like when Kratos swings Baldur off the arena and most people usually aren’t positioned where the cutscene should have him)
For those who may not know the main reason that Modi was so scared of Kratos at 24:21 is because he and Magni were supposed to survive Ragnarök which was their fate, however Kratos had just changed their fate. Also somethings I’m hoping we’ll get to see in GOW 5 is that they take advantage of Loki’s shape shifting powers in combat like he can change into one of the enemies so they all start attacking each other in confusion. Or if Kratos does die in that game he makes Atreus swear not to be like him and that would mean you could choose to let certain enemies live and others to die, which could lead to alternative endings Edit: and for anyone else who doesn’t realize: I’m talking about actual Norse mythology (in most versions of the prophecy) Magni, Modi, among other gods are supposed to survive and take the place of those who died, also it is implied they were supposed to survive in the game like when Modi says “I earned that ****ing hammer but now everyone will think I only got it because Magni’s gone” but Thor would never just hand over his hammer unless he was going to die
I just finished the game for the first time and your comment made that scene so much more impactful for me. I wish it was stated before in the game in some way. Thank you so much for this
I love how kratos defeated the main boss in the first fight in the same way in the last fight. To me this shows that kratos has not grown better as a fighter he is just the same, he’ll always win. But you know who did grow? Atreus, and this game was amazing. Bought it a week ago, unbelievable
What? Just by doing the quickest kill method and how he restrained him means he's not grown better? He's gotten better in that he's wise and uses his anger and skill of battle to people who really deserve it and not in just revenge, Kratos is clearly a changed character and his fighting is also much more controlled and focused on the target rather than pure rage and throwing everything around
That’s a thing you should’ve understood, this isn’t their bodies, they’ve been kept like this because sigrun did it out of spite for Óðinn (I’m not fully sure in that one), they are spirits trapped, they will be freed once their mortal bodies have been destroyed

Anyone else just absolutely love the development of Atreus'character over the course of the game, particularly at 42:07, he goes from being a kid that can't shoot an arrow properly to someone who shoots them while falling from the sky and helping his father in a combo attack

Yeah she even says she'll send him to Hel to have the most vile creatures feast on him. Does she not know who she's talking to? He's been to some version of hell like 5 times already. It's like a vacation for him at this point. He stays for a little while, takes in the sights, kills a bunch of hell demons that are already dead somehow, and comes back to Earth like nothing happened at all. Maybe pick an actual punishment instead of something that he does like every Thursday.
@@jayden9287 basically zeus is glass cannon build Its the set strength/weakness, it gives the user tremendous amount of damage while having low hp, as for me im suffering in GMGOW+ since i just finished the game killing the valk So yeah inorder to play and finish GOW difficulty is just giving your 100%
@@jayden9287 yeah, theres a damage intake multiplier as well as a damage output multiplier, and fhe armor inherently comes with extremely low VIT and defense that is then multiplied and calculated. Essentially the only thing you could survive with the armor set is probably a single spit ball from a nightmare, thats about it

Overstepped yeah 1st Edit: There's many reasons as to why Kratos became a God Killer But, seeing Modi acting like a coward after Kratos killed his brother was very satisfying and funny to watch
That's a bit prideful for this Kratos. I mean, he might say it, but Kratos doesn't seem to flaunt his strength in GoW4, so much as use it only when he needs to (which is very often, needless to say).
Enchantment of the realms turns every fight into ez wins. Just last second dodge any move for ez dubs. Even moves with follow ups get out timed, as he showed with the valkyries. I honestly think it might have been an oversight on the devs part to add it lul. Makes the game soooo easy, even on GOW difficulty.
I love the development that Kratos has. I love that he changed from the angry man of vengeance to wise and experienced. If the series was a book or movie, I would definitely give it a read/watch

@@blurry2668 it's called the zeus armor set. The enchantments are the perfect mark of kvasir+ (which you can only get in ng+) and the tailsman was the perfect tailsman of the realms. I'm not sure about the rest of the enchantments but those 2 are the ones which slow down time. There are other time slowing enchantments like the Glowing Gem of the Nine
Controlz just activate a talisman forgot what it was that slows time and do the light runic attack that does ice beams i used that to but without the talisman
KRY MauL yeah but on the Give Me God Of War setting the stranger fight takes FOREVER the first time through. I like the feel of this build, where its basically two gods bashing eachother but it’s not drawn out for 10 minutes
KRY MauL no shame in that! Every enemy is basically a new mini boss and takes 5 minutes and a few deaths to figure out. Give Me God of War is for masochists only ; )
I think killing a dragon like that would be harder than a colossus the size of mountains for Kratos, he has the strength to kill either with some well placed, brutal blows but the the dragon is fast and can react easier at its size than the colossi who were basically slow Giants trying there best to hit an insanely small target, kinda like how I couldn't kill a fly with my bare hands for the life of me

At first I wasn't really into the whole getting one shot thing, but after getting the set and maxing it out, the damage is so high and satisfying! You just dodge and parry and life is a breeze! Definitely doing another new game + playthrough
This makes Give Me GoW so much easier since that difficulty basically forces you to never get hit ever anyway, so you only get the strength buff in this situation.

I just realized Baldur thought Kratos was a Giant. "I thought you'd be bigger!" and "I thought your kind was so much more enlightened, so much smarter." He wouldn't say that second one (at least) if he knew Kratos was a God because Baldur is a God as well. We also know that the Giants are very smart and enlightened, on top of having far more Seers (Future Sight) than anybody else. He also says "Why'd you come to Midgard", but Kratos has always been on Mid-Gard (the Earth) with the exception of when he goes to Hades and Olympus. It of course becomes clear to the Norse God's that Kratos isn't a Giant.
My head canon for this is that baldur wasn’t around when the giants were so he doesn’t know how most of their power feels excluding jormungandr... so he feels kratos’ power and he was already looking for a giant so he assume the different strength he feels means kratos is a giant
Baldur came looking for Kratos's wife the giant but he didn't know what she looked like. Kratos thought Baldur knew his past as the Ghost of Sparta. Hence the conflict due to misunderstanding

I was watching this and it felt like a movie. Even though I didn't see the whole game in this video it was still amazing. I loved the story and gameplay so much.

Its the set strength/weakness, it gives the user tremendous amount of damage while having low hp, as for me im suffering in GMGOW+ since i just finished the game killing the valk
So yeah inorder to play and finish GOW difficulty is just giving your 100%
@@jayden9287 yeah, theres a damage intake multiplier as well as a damage output multiplier, and fhe armor inherently comes with extremely low VIT and defense that is then multiplied and calculated. Essentially the only thing you could survive with the armor set is probably a single spit ball from a nightmare, thats about it

Enchantment of the realms turns every fight into ez wins. Just last second dodge any move for ez dubs. Even moves with follow ups get out timed, as he showed with the valkyries. I honestly think it might have been an oversight on the devs part to add it lul. Makes the game soooo easy, even on GOW difficulty.
I love the development that Kratos has. I love that he changed from the angry man of vengeance to wise and experienced. If the series was a book or movie, I would definitely give it a read/watch

@@blurry2668 it's called the zeus armor set. The enchantments are the perfect mark of kvasir+ (which you can only get in ng+) and the tailsman was the perfect tailsman of the realms. I'm not sure about the rest of the enchantments but those 2 are the ones which slow down time. There are other time slowing enchantments like the Glowing Gem of the Nine

This build makes the stranger fight feel almost entirely like a cutscene. Its almost like this is how the game was meant to be played haha
The stranger fight is part of the tutorial it basically is a cutscene until you get to the bridge
KRY MauL yeah but on the Give Me God Of War setting the stranger fight takes FOREVER the first time through. I like the feel of this build, where its basically two gods bashing eachother but it’s not drawn out for 10 minutes

I think killing a dragon like that would be harder than a colossus the size of mountains for Kratos, he has the strength to kill either with some well placed, brutal blows but the the dragon is fast and can react easier at its size than the colossi who were basically slow Giants trying there best to hit an insanely small target, kinda like how I couldn't kill a fly with my bare hands for the life of me

I just realized Baldur thought Kratos was a Giant.
"I thought you'd be bigger!"
and
"I thought your kind was so much more enlightened, so much smarter."
He wouldn't say that second one (at least) if he knew Kratos was a God because Baldur is a God as well. We also know that the Giants are very smart and enlightened, on top of having far more Seers (Future Sight) than anybody else.
He also says "Why'd you come to Midgard", but Kratos has always been on Mid-Gard (the Earth) with the exception of when he goes to Hades and Olympus.
It of course becomes clear to the Norse God's that Kratos isn't a Giant.
My head canon for this is that baldur wasn’t around when the giants were so he doesn’t know how most of their power feels excluding jormungandr... so he feels kratos’ power and he was already looking for a giant so he assume the different strength he feels means kratos is a giant
