I feel you. I have an autoimmune disease called Sjogrens Syndrome and it affects my kidneys, my joints, my teeth, and my skin. NC says I am disabled to receive Medicaid but I'm not disabled enough to receive my disability. And I'm not even trying to be on it the rest of my life. It's not enough to live off of the rest of my life. I need it as I'm fighting to walk normal again. I have been 10yrs without a job except for 2yrs ago. I tried to work from home.
