- Today's video features a new/maybe familiar face! We are welcoming on a full-time employee to the farm. Show him some support! It's so nice to see a person with drive and work ethic. During all the rain, we got the planter settings switched over to plant soybeans, and got everything serviced and greased. Did you learn anything new from today's video? PLEASE comment with your questions, curiosities, favorite parts, and suggestions for future videos/things you want to see! As always, I am so grateful for you, and your continued support. We'll see you next time!!

Welcome Gage! I hope for a very successful and productive year. At times I miss the farm I grew up on but my how things have changed LOL. Thanks for bringing us along!
I’m glad you guys had a weather window to plant beans. For Gage: Congratulations upon graduating high school and to getting to work full time at a job you love with people who care about you.
Welcome to full time farming Gage. Congratulations on graduating high school.
Hiya Pepper.
Always enjoyed watching Gage working on your farm. Seems like a good kid, with a good work ethic, and always ready to jump in. Good luck guys, be careful and be safe.
Good to have you back Gage congratulations on getting through the school phase and welcome back to the farm!!🌽🌽🚜🚜
Congratulations Gage- after working on the farm for over a year plus graduating high school, you now know more about life than 80% of the college kids in America. Thank you.
Ahoj. Nejen u Vás. Akademici na celém světě jsou v tomto směru omezeni a jsou to prázdné nádoby. Díky za Vaše slova. God bless for all farmers around The World. Greetings from Moravia.
I miss farming so much and the farm period. There is nothing like the smell of fresh plowed dirt, cut fields and hay and definitely at the start of a rain. I’m 59 and my first tractor I drove was a Massey Harris 55, then we got into the JD 40 series. I sold my farm last year (against my wants) but have been fighting stage 4 cancer for 1 1/2 yrs now so life is definitely different. Thank you for a channel I’ve been able to farm virtually Laura and Grant!
Bittersweet I’m sure! Praying for a full recovery ❤️🩹
@@1amyyes It is. Thank you for that. Lots of prayers 🙏✝️
it's always a pleasure to watch your videos even on the other side of Atlantic Ocean several thousand miles away.
hello from France, hello from Cognac (in moderation)
I got it LOL!!!! Our dear Laura is such a great example of the world wide love of a farming lifestyle.
Off coarse I am from Pakistan
Laura, its great to see Gage taking on working full time on the farm and feel he will do well working and learning as the year goes on.
I think it's just great that Gage has joined the Laura Farms team as a full time member. So cool that you like to work hard. Your generation could learn much from a guy like you keep just being you. Brian from Colorado and your neighbor.
Welcome to "Laura Farms" Gage, both the farm and chanel! It will be interesting to watch your growth.
Good morning Sunshine and an official welcome to Gage in his new capacity. Gage, it is cool that he has the opportunity to work along side Laura and Grant. You have already picked up a lot of skills and will only build upon and improve them more with added time. They are lucky to have you. Have a great week everyone and be safe out there! Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Since you're hiring, I'd like to apply for the position of Kitty Kat Butler. Pepper looks as if she could use some personal care....lol.
It's the fuse on the back side of the 12 volt accessory female plug. They almost all have a line fuse as well as having a fuse on a panel so essentially those accessory plugs are double fused.
Welcome to Team Laura Farms, Gage! You know that you're in store for continuous on-the-job learning. Laura and Grant certainly will tell you that they learn something every day. Farm safely and have fun!
From a Minnesota farm kid
…appreciate your vids…farms are the backbone of the nation. Keep the tradition going…much success and good health. 😎
True, but I wish farmers would use less harsh chemicals in farming.
That said, I wonder what exactly is in that bright pink seed coating.
Yes, farms are the backbone of the country, also the truck drivers, without them all the stores would be empty
And that's all over the world, here in the land down under (Australia) farmers right now are doing it tough with floods, drought in some parts and low prices for wheat, sheep and cattle, but you never ever hear the farmers complain. They just get on with it.
Welcome Gage, we’re glad for you to be on the channel more often. Hopefully you’re having a wonderful time running the planter.
I am praying for all in the storms paths.......BE SAFE YOU TWO and PEPPER!!! Get your hides to safety if you hear that TRAIN.
Great job, Gage!
Looks like he has the confidence and work ethic!
Help Laura and Grant feed the WORLD! ❤
I'll come work with you!😊
Thanks for sharing and taking us along for the ride!
Im not a farmer but grew up on a small farm, Long hours and hard dangerous work. Kids nowadays think food magically appears at kroger or wallyworld . Hoping people like you and grant can hopefully inform people of their misconceptions.
Glad your able to get out again!! And plant the beans!
Congrats Gage! Great to see you all!
Experience in driving a tractor in a field? such hard work, lol.
@@firstamendmenttshirt4768 Hope you are joking cuz yes it is very fatiguing, mental and physical. Quite a work out since tractor always moving over rough ground for hours but will still put you to sleep.
@js7127 try living in a semi and driving one. I will switch if you got a spot? Lol.
Congratulations Gage! Enjoy seeing your contributors to the farm and channel. You’re a real asset to Laura’s and Grant’s operation.
I love a farmer that gets down in the field and takes seed placement measurements. It's planting season!
I sure do love your videos. Like watching you and Grant work together (and now Gage); and Grant was so lucky to marry a farm girl. I married a city girl; but she learned to operate farm equipment and work with cattle. We farmed together like you and Grant; and there is nothing better than farming with your wife. She passed away three years ago; and our corn & soybean, farming operation to the southeast of you in Missouri was very similar to what you and Grant do. Miss my wife a lot.
Love your content, Laura. Please accept an unsolicited bit of health advice: please PLEASE wear a good respirator with replaceable filter cartridges when dealing with dusty situations like filling the planter. 😺 Your lungs and overall health will thank you decades from now. I was cringing watching that nanoparticle talc dust come out of the seed tender spout and planter seed bins with you standing right there.
Good pair of gloves wouldn't go astray either
I usually use a N95 because its more than good enough for fertilizer dust. If I spray chemicals in vineyards I use a P100 respirator. Cant get better really.
Congratulations on your High School graduation Gage !! I know you'll be a huge asset to Laura and Grant. You already are.
Welcome Gage. Have fun and enjoy adult life it's going to be a roller coaster ride enjoy the highs and don't sweat the lows.
Always amazing to me how Laura and Grant can make such ordinary things so interesting and fun to watch. Best farm channel on u tube!
Great to see gage back working keep it up gage save your money you will have your own farm one day
That seed handler is both a time saver and a back saver. Clever contraption. Vice Grips have become essential items for day-to-day operations on most farms. My father called them and baling wire Mickey Mouse fixes.
Laura, I have not watched your videos for a while, and I was pleased, after watching this one today, that you have hired a graduated high school kid as your first employee at the farm. I am glad you and your husband are helping kids with work it is the best way for them to learn about money, commitment and responsibilities. Gage, I wish you the best at Laura's farm, you will do great.
Congrats Gage 👏 The longer your out of school, the more you wish you were back in school..you'll see 😊
Glad to hear “WE” my wife everything is hers. Anyway here’s hoping you have a prosperous harvest.
I am amazed ant the huge size of those machines. The amazing thing is that there are larger pieces of farm equipment.
Hello Laura, Grant, and Gage from Texas. Congratulations Gage on graduation. Now on to the next step of life. Wishing you the very best. Wishing Laura and Grant a very prosperous year. Love your videos. Much love to all of you.
You go Gage! You have a couple of great bosses. Continue to contribute to their success and you will be successful. God bless to you all.
raised on a tobacco farm in North East Kentucky I still love farming if I live close to you I'd work there in a heart beat nothing please me more than working ground .
That was a good large field for your soybeans, Gage, a welcome to your full-time job, you couldn't wish for a better two employers. - Laura, you also need to know a lot of complicated stuff to do your job as a farmer.
Love from Mike ❤
That’s great that gauges on the farm helping you he will be a great asset to your farm. Good luck gauge and may you learn lots.
Congrats on your Graduation Gage! On to bigger and better things!
Congratulations on graduating Gage. Like Laura said welcome to the real world. You seem to be a hard worker and quick learner. I imagine Grant and Laura are good to work with.
I liked Laura’s top knot in the second half of the video. So cute. 👱♀️🌽
Congratulations, Gage! I look forward to seeing more of you, and your wonderful work ethics.
i like Laura's hairstyle in this video; it suits her style of fashion
That was so good thank you Laura and Grantloved it Gage is getting it done
Welcome to the farm Gage and hopefully you have fun and learn more about farming this year. Congratulations on graduating as well. I think you did a great job for your first solo run in such a big tractor and planter. When I grew up a 4 row JD planter behind a 50-60 HP tractor was normal. Then the big 16 rows came out and everyone thought it was awesome to get done in a few days instead of several weeks planning. Great video again everyone.
Congratulations Gage!
I didn't grow up on a farm so all I know about was gleaned from watching Green Acres when I was a kid. Gage ain't no Eb! You're doing great Gage!
Congratulations Gage. Looking forward to seeing you around more. Good luck on your crops
Welcome gage ! To the best employers a young man could ask for !
Another wonderful video Laura teaching us non-farmers how it’s done! Congrats Gage on completing high school and going full time with Laura…all the best!
Congrats Gage, I know your help is greatly appreciated.
welcome Gage back to the farm.....you have one of the best oppurtunities out there by learning from Laura and Grant. good on you!!!!!
Congradulation Gage and Welcome.
Awesome video. Hope all goes well for you this planting season.
Hi Laura, I’m glad things worked out well for you as far as planting. You didn’t get any damage from the weather you were getting Minnesota here has been busy with some heavy rain one tornado that I can think of so thanks for bringing it this way lol
I can help you two and you can help me. Never to old to learn.😊
If I remember from last year the powder Grant put in the seed loader is fertilizer. I would have liked to have seen you with some air protection up there on the tanks Lauren. One day Gabe will just realize its nt a weekend, but work. Im glad he likes to work.
Welcome back gage. Laura and Grant can always use experienced help!
Welcome to the full time crew Gage!!! Ms. Laura I noticed you having trouble pouring Hydrolic fluid out of a 5 gallon bucket a Lil advice turn the bucket so the spout will be at the top of the bucket putting there allows for you to pour without having it need to slow or glug for air making it surge every time if it's less than half full pour it the normal way and normally it also protects the stream of fluid from the wind pushing it all over.
I grew up on a farrow to finish hog farm with 2600 to 3200 head at all times and I also started doing the truck driving for the farm a lol bit after my 16th birthday during the summer till I graduated and started farming full time. During when my classmates was going to prom I was hauling Corn from the rail head in Clinton,TN later on I was a mechanic on trucks and heavy equipment at a trucking company in St. Louis,MO and finally my last bit of work I owned a towing company.
I bet that seed wagon makes it safer also than lifting that 2000 lb+ box up in the air.
Great addition to your operation ,explanations and videos
If y'all gave my a job,I think me and pepper would be best buds...Glad your getting some rain and hopefully no more tornadoes.
Laura and Grant you are an example to many, as well as your family. I'm 72 years old, but when I see you working I feel like helping out. Never seen it myself, but it is beautiful work. Wishing you continued success. Roger from Belgium 🦽🦽
OMG Laura I love watching you guys. You are so beautiful in many ways, Grant is so LUCKY.
Gage is a lucky guy. He gets to be around Laura all day. In every way, she is an amazingly gorgeous young woman. Probably the most beautiful on all the plains and beyond.
Congratulations Gage.
Oh god, I definitely feel your pain on that fuse situation where they just give you a fuse number and don’t give you any sort of hint as to what the fuses power on the fuse diagram, making you break out the owners manual to find out what the fuse powers. Ford does the exact same thing on their stuff.
A very informative visit... thanks!!
🌟 Congrats, Gage!🌟
Now the team is assembled...Pepper on security..Mr G on drive of tractor..Mr Grant oversee of utilities n logistics..
N Miss Laura at narration.....
The helm...!!
You got this.......!!
Thanks for sharing!!
🤙🐺🧙♂️🦊👍
Great job, Gage. Nice out of the cab camera shot and on getting to run the planter
Wonderful update on what it going on with the farm. Welcome back Gage.
Great Music that was very enjoyable for a much older man. Good Job. God Bless you guys.
Huh...I felt the same way after I retired. No idea WHAT day it is! Congrats Gage. Todd the retired trucker.
The young man is a powerful resource....
If you have a "KEEPER", treat with the ultimate respect and reward.
Will stay with you for a lifetime 💞💞
Glad to see the weather is cooperating to get planting done. I'm sure Gage will be fine since he's been helping out on the farm.
I’m happy to see Gage working with you both. You 3 make a great team!
Gage is a treasure and adds a ton of experience from you, Grant and Family. Welcome, team work makes the dream work! ❤
Glad you have *good* help for the seemingly; *never ending* farm activity.
I was so hoping you were going to say instead of soybeans, we will be planting Mike’s favorite, RED Jellybeans. Thank You. 😂🙏🏼✌️
Jelly beans of any color would be an excellent crop!
Great channel. Reminds me of when I worked on a produce farm when I was a kid. Best summers of my life.
Congratulations on graduation Gage. Awesome explanation of switching between crops.
Congratulations to Gage for his high school graduation and for joining Laura Farms. Laura and Grant are very fortunate to have someone with Gage's abilities and maturity to be working with them. You're all winners.
Congratulations Gage on your graduation. Laura you and Grant are very lucky to have found a young man that wants to work hard and learn as Gage does. That is very hard to do now a days. Best of luck this farming season.
Grats Gage, you're in a good spot. Futures bright. N cool name. Reminds me of my nephews name, Kaige.
Beautiful smart lady keep up the great videos.. God bless you and your family my friend
Really appreciate you guys getting microphones! Improves the quality of your videos immensely!
GAGE is a great addition, smart and hard working. Who would not want that.
