- What’s up everybody. In todays video, I will be doing an unboxing and review of the Bad Boyz Cyclez Extended Freedom Series Seat. This seat may s definitely a high quality seat. It comes in diamond stitching in a variety of colors. It is made of a high grade marine vinyl for durability. It also comes with memory foam and gel inserts in all seats for a firm stability, comfort, and road vibration dampening. hey matt i have the bad boyz cycles scorpion series seat and i love that seat and i have the backrest that's a game changer i ride long miles the backrest is a must.

It’s a very nice custom seat. I’d also recommend the Harley Tall Boy Seat that gives you up to 2” of legroom. It’s a little less money too.

It gives you pretty good legroom and it overall comfortable but may loose it’s comfort all longer all day rides. It also does not look at custom/cool as a Diamond stitch custom seat either. I have it on my current Road King build and I like it.

Great video! So out of all the extended seats you've tried which one seemed drop you down the most? I want to go back and down the most I can. Thanks
I’d say the LePera Daddy Long Legs on my Wide Glide gave me 2” of legroom and sat me a little lower. The others (Saddleman and BBC) gave me maybe 1” of leg room and kept me stock heigh or slightly taller but were much more firm. I now run a HD Tall Boy seat on my Road King and love it. It gives me a full 2” of leg room and keeps me stock height maybe a tiny bit lower, it’s softer (no gel) and feels more comfortable but does not look at nice as others with Diamond stitching.
i second that. my Lapera maverick daddy long legs is broken in now and is really comfortable. it doesn’t look as cool as this but it’s a great seat

Good review! I'm really interested in that seat. Was wondering how your liking it now that you have had it awhile? Also curious on the windshield your using? We're close to the same height I'm 6'2" and are bikes are close to the same setup. But I get a lot of wind buffering when I ride just wondering what you use for a wind shield and if you have the same problem. Thanks for the video 👍
I don’t have the bike anymore but for the long period I did, I really did like the seat.
I am 6"3 with 16" apes. I ride with a half helmet or no helmet and i love my 10" LRS megacurve.

First time I came across your content. I’ve been looking for a new seat as well but I just wanted to give you a quick impression of the contact in this video. You did not have your feet set in the same place when you showed the first seat as you did with the second seat foot placement on the floor boards on the BB seat. Also the back of the BB seat lines up with you saddlebags at the same spot for both seats. Most of these companies that say that they are extended seats are not. I, like you am tall. I not only did the Harley extended floorboards but added the Kuryakyn extended which gave me 2 inches total moved forward. But the seat does not extend you whatsoever, the BB that is.
It’s hard to show but it does set you back slightly. Maybe 1/2-1” max.
@@DieselLegiance I don’t know Matt. After stopping your video and measuring I just don’t see any extension whatsoever. Now the seat might be an extension compared to their original seat of the same name for shorter riders. That I would understand. But I don’t see any extension on that one the same as I don’t on Saddleman or mustang or even Harley seats. But look into the other thing I talk to you about to extend those floorboards even more for you. It helps for me. But then again on one of my bikes I took it to a guy who completely custom made a seat for me which really puts me back and up a little bit so that my riding triangle is perfect and really comfortable.
It is just like the road sofa just 2 piece. Unfortunately nobody makes a 2 piece heated seat. How hard could it be to plug the pillion into the front seat when it’s installed.
This looks great, definitely better looking than the SDC.
Seat looks sweet , but their site only says 2008 and up , that sucks for people with older bikes
Dang. I’m torn between this seat and La Pera Daddy long legs. Have you tried out the maverick by any chance?
I had a Daddy Long Legs seat on my last Dyna Wide Glide. It was a very nice seat (less costly) but I still feel this BBC Freedom Series seat is more comfortable and better quality as it has the gel inserts on top of the low density foam.
I was looking at the saddleman I'm gonna have to check this out now. I'm 6 4 and feel like a gorilla humping a foot ball on my ultra classic and was looking for a seat that'll sit me back farther. Did this or the saddleman sit you back farther or are they about the same?
They were about the same. Id say the BBC seat was a little better. However, I have a Road King now and just put on a HD Tall Boy seat and gained easily 2” of leg room and kept the stock height. Most aftermarket seats are firm and not comfortable and sit you a little lower in some cases which does not help us tall folk. There are two different tall boy seats through Harley. One sits you back 1.5” and the other sits you back 2”.
@@DieselLegiance I might have to look into that too. The saddleman seemed interesting to because it has a heated seat option and I live up north. I appreciate the response though. Stay safe out there.

Does the seat drop you down vs. stock? Looking to drop an inch or two so I don’t have go to a taller windscreen.
I feel like it drops me down maybe an inch and back maybe an inch but it’s hard to tell.

how did you make your passenger from wobbling. I have a 2014 street glide .
What do you mean? My wife had no issues with this seat and felt completely secure.
does it slide into the screw brackets on the driver's seat or do you have to screw it under the driver's seat.
Slides in to the driver seat nice and snug and then bolts down in the back. If yours is wobbly, contact the owner over at BBC.

It’s a firm seat so it’s not super plush or cushy but it’s very supportive. It also has a nice grip so you don’t slide around. Overall it’s my favorite seat. I have a different bike now and tried a Harley Tall Boy and I like the BBC better.
I have a road King 2014. I just ordered the daddy long legs maverick. Have you tried that seat?
I had a LePera DLL seat on my old wide glide and I liked it.
I ordered the freedom seat and waited and waited for 4 1/2 months to get it. Never received it and only got a portion of my money back.

Does it put your passenger higher than stock or your previous seat? Wife hates sitting higher than me.
I’d would say maybe a tiny bit higher but my wife didn’t complain because all she kept saying was how comfortable she was on the new seat.
I found a used extended reach but I'm 5 10 . Will this be too far back ?
You can still sit forward but extended reach seats gain you 1-2” so your legs and arms may stretch out further than usual.
What is your impression of the seat after riding with it for a while now?
I really liked it. I sold that bike and got a road king now and tried a HD tall boy seat and even though I like this seat, I may sell it and get a BBC seat again. The BBC extended seat was more firm but I felt like I sat in the same position better and did not slide around so much compared to this tall boy seat.

@@DieselLegiance I run a Tallboy seat on my Road Glide now. I was looking at getting a bad boys seat. Position wise how do the two compare?
I think they are similar in regard to seat position give or take 1/2” if you are comparing the BBC extended freedom seat. However, my opinion, the BBC seat looks WAY better and feels like much better quality overall but may be a little more stiff for better support.
How long did it take you to get this seat once you ordered it????
I talked to George the owner first and confirmed he had some in stock or at least being made and he did so I got it within a month. If he is out of stock and has to make them it may be 6 weeks or so. Use my code “HARM5” for an extra 5% off you do order to save a few bucks.

Probably 3-4 hours and yes it was comfy but it’s not a plush seat, it’s more firm for support.
Now that you don’t own the seat anymore would you buy it again?
Absolutely. I had no problems with it.

Yes, I do. However, I’m dealing with a sciatic nerve issue right now and need a little more cushion as this seat is a little firmer than stock. Although it’s firm for support it’s a little too stiff for my nerve issue so I may put my stock seat back on for a little while.

I do, it’s a little firm for me as the driver, but my wife likes the passenger seat.

Passenger seat seems so thick from the side view, not to appealing
It’s not as bad in person but if your looking for comfort for your passenger they all look thick. The slimmer (cooler looking) seats give up passenger comfort for looks. It’s all about what’s more important to you. However, if you ever to ride solo you could just take the backseat off.

I assume you’re single or at least maybe you should be if that’s how you feel. However, I have a wife and 3 daughters and I make sure to treat them all good and show them all respect and protect them. That’s what real men do. So yes, I do care about what my wife thinks because she likes to ride with me. But hey, ride safe, have a nice day.
