I am using a Saddlemen Road Sofa LS extended reach on my road king. I am 6’4” and the extra two inches over stock makes a big difference. I actually feel the seat sits me a little higher than stock as well so this helps with a better riding position. Yes, it takes a while to ride-in but it is worth it. I will always go with this seat if I ever change bikes!
Excellent video! On my 2018 Street Glide Special I tried EVERY seat offered by Harley. Didn't like any of them. I did try the Road Sofa and like you said it was hard as a rock. I wanted to try the Mustang extended reach but was struggling with their "no return" policy on an almost $800 seat. I complained loudly and was able to negotiate the opportunity to return it for a refund within (I think...) 2 weeks. So I bought it. I've probably put 20k miles on that seat and I LOVE the backrest, the width and the comfort. It took about 2k miles to fully break in but it is awesome. I can ride all day comfortably. Keep up the great work! Shout out if you get to Austin.
In 97' I spent $625 for a Corbin King & Queen Saddle with Rider Backrest on my Vulcan 88 inch. Having had back surgery 9 months before getting my bike, I was ignorant to how bad stock seats are . I rode LA to Vegas and back on Thanksgiving and the return trip was bumper to bumper from Vegas to Victorville, I passed every vehicle on the road and it still took 6 hours (Normally 4.5 hrs) I couldn't get out of bed for 2 days. I ordered the Corbin and I could ride all day long and would feel better when I got off than when I started. Absolutely true.
J and P cycle lets you try out a Mustang seat. Which I did. Two of them. I bought the Vintage seat and love it. At the time it was $701.00 in 2018. It has been on two Harley-Davidson SGS. That was with a back rest. The Vintage moved me forward. I am 5'9". It helped me to improve my driving. It holds me in the seat, moves me closer to the bars. What a difference!
5 seats on my last two bikes. Don't know if one exists that I like. I've been talking to a welder friend about installing an old tractor seat. I always liked those!
I bought a Saddlemen Road Sofa the day I pick up my 2019 Road Glide Special, It's not my first rodeo so I was not about to go anywhere on the stock seat. My mistake was buying the Road Sofa with out a rider back rest, I ended up selling the original Road Sofa on Ebay and buying another one with the rider back rest. If your going to buy a Road Sofa I strongly recommend at least buying one that will support the back rest in case you want to add it later. It took at least 1k for the seat to really break in I have 46k on mine now and love it, still looks good too.
6’5, 240 with a 36” inseam, I’m 51 with a muscular dad bod upper body and skinnier legs and NO I DO NOT skip leg day. I gave my body description because seat dimensions matter so for me I like a narrower slimmer style of seat. Drag Specialties Predator Extended Reach on my 2020 Road Glide and it is the perfect seat for long legged riders. If it feels a little hard. Put on a sheepskin as you ride long distances and you’ll never ever complain. The only problem is that there isn’t much room for a passenger unless shes fun sized. I also have a Harley Tall Boy that I had modified for me but it still just doesn’t work. But the pillion is perfect for my wife (who is not fun sized). I now am thinking about Le Pera Maverick Daddy Long Legs Tall version or maybe the Saddleman RS. So yes,,, I’m still on the hunt for a seat for when my wife is on, otherwise for riding solo,,, I’m not and you won’t be disappointed with the Drag Specialties Predator Extended Reach.
Russell Day Long makes the best seat I have ever ridden on for long distance. Cost a lot but it's money well spent. Ride several hundred miles a day and still feel good. Can't beat it!
Would love to see more comparisons for the Russell Day Long (RDL) seats and Road Sofa! The GoldWing groups talk nothing but the RDL seats as the best... I've gotta know!
I rode years on my Honda Shadow with stock. I was looking for a reason to stop every 45 minutes. I finally got a mustang with backrest. I have 5k on it. It was stiff for awhile but broke in within a few hundred miles and was instantly better than stock. I can easily go until the tank is dry, and I can't believe I waited so long to get a better seat.
I bought an Indian pursuit premium and immediately put 5,500 miles on it riding from central Illinois to California and back via Colorado and Utah. The stock seat took a while to break in-about 2,500 miles- and after that it was great. I’ve got two rides this summer; one to Durango CO and back via Wyoming and South Dakota and the second ride to the north east U.S. going through NY, VT, NH, PA, WAV, TN and IN… about 8,000 miles when it’s all said and done. I’ve been thinking about buying a road sofa so I want to thank you for the heads up about the break in time and the leather care tip. I added the back rest for the seat, which cost a fortune, and I’m thinking of doing the same with the road sofa. You’re right, the back rest makes a world of difference.
I put about 12,000 miles on a stock seat. It's initially very comfortable, but the foam starts to break down and eventually it feels like you are sitting directly on the plastic seat pan. I tried the Saddleman road sofa and it was definitely firmer than the stock seat ever was. I have about 3000 miles on the road sofa and haven't noticed any break in. It has a gel core so it's not going to get much softer. It was comfortable from the first ride and has stayed about the same.
Went from stock to a Mustang Wide Tripper, which was great for me but terrible for passenger, ended up landin on the Sundowner seat from Harley-Davidson and love it. Trial and error and $700 later lol
I went from the stock seat to the Saddlemen Road Sofa LS. It was a gamble, like you mentioned. Luckily, I made the right choice. I wouldn’t have made it to Sturgis and back without it.
I love my Saddleman road sofa on my 2021 RKS.I also have the backrest on mine. It's like driving down the road in my leather recliner from my living room.
Thanks Ryan, great information even though it’s been 5 months ago. So my 2016 Road King stock seat is comfortable for about 1 hour max & I had a HD dealership put on a new Road Sofa just to check it out & I immediately could tell a difference in leg room & the cooling gel ,!$940!! I couldn’t take that Road Sofa seat off fast enough!!! LoL! Anyway, I will be upgrading eventually. Thanks for sharing, great job.
Mustang fan here! I’m about your height and I’m on their Summit touring seat which moves me back 1.75”. It’s perfect and I love the width. I believe it’s 19” wide for the rider and this helps with long distance fatigue big time.
I'm VERY HAPPY that I found your channel and THIS VIDEO! I paid the 800 plus bucks for the road sofa , with back rest, after seeing umpteen videos where the guys are saying "Best seat in the world ..love this thing ..OMG gives you a chubby just riding on it!" Well I was just about to SLAM SADDLEMAN as my road sofa feels like I'm riding on a cement block!!! Contacted Saddleman and they said 2k Miles is needed, I've put about 2500 miles so far....CEMENT ASS BLOCK! LOL Now hearing you state that it takes 5K or better makes me rethink sending it back for them to do something to make it softer...so they said. I'll do the 5K and hopefully I'll be one of those happy ass( literally) riders! Thanks keep up the Great Videos! 🤠
First off, cool channel!! I have 4 seats total. They seat that came with my bike if a short guy seat. I am 6'3" also, so that didn't work. My second seat is an ultra classic seat. Which was sooooo much better than my original seat. The dealership I bought the bike from was very nice and gave me the seat as they got a bike in on trade that came with a factory seat and an aftermarket seat. Very nice of them. I actually restuffed the seat and put gel in it. Which helped even more. My 3rd seat it a seat off an older ultra that my bro bought and did like. I gave him $150 for it. I restuffed it and put a custom gator cover on it. It looks very cool and is pretty comfortable. But they my bro bought a used mustang. He didn't like it either, so I bought that one too. I hope to buy a Road sofa some day. Maybe I could sell all my seats and buy one.. naaa.. that would be to easy..lol
I’m 6 foot and 220. Bought a blue stitched standard length road sofa for my Road Glide Special 2019 early on in my ownership because my old lady HATED the stock passenger seat. I wasn’t thrilled with the HD stock seat for myself either. I did not buy the extended version (I wish I had). She rides with me a lot and generally I tend to move forward on the seat when she rides with me. The jewels tend to slide up on the gas tank a little which is not real comfortable. No problem when I ride alone though. Also bought the blue stitched version backrest for her. Needless to say she is very comfortable and never complains. My seat is very comfortable on the butt especially after two trips to Sturgis. I agree with your assessment that it needs a full 5000 miles before it feels fully broken in. however it is well worth the wait.
Bought a '16 Road Glide and the stock seat padding perfect except I need to move back about 2". I'm 6'1" with a 36" inseam. HIghway pegs help but not for long. I was considering an HD Tall Boy, but I might have to try the Road Sofa as I bought the bike for long distance riding. Thanks for the review. Nothing worse than butt burn with a few hundred miles to go.
I got a tallboy for my RKS and the position is now perfect. we'll see how well it works for longer days. So far the longest I've been in the saddle, straight through, was 3hrs. It did ok, but I think that I had more of an issue because it was my first long ride of the season and my butt hadn't gotten used to it yet. Plus the seat was basically brand new with only a few rides on it.
So I bought a mustang solo seat with a removable pillion. My wife rode on it twice and then said she wasn't interested in riding. Then when my sister moved she happened to have a brand new unopened le Pera bare bones seat that fit my bike. I guess her ex husband bought the seat and it didn't fit his bike and he couldn't return it. It was still in the attic at her house. I took it but didn't use it for a while because I loved my mustang. Then I tried the bare bones seat and it's amazing. The main thing I like about it is it's narrow and low profile makes putting my feet down easy because I'm short. Also I think it's very comfortable even though everyone says it's only for bar hopping. I use it on a 45-55 minute commute every day and have also gone on a 2.5hour trip and love it. The narrow and low profile of the bare bones seat makes it a win for me.
Great vid Ryan! I went with the H-D Hammock and would have to say it took ~1000 miles to get it broke in, but really enjoy it now! Lookin’ forward to meeting up next month my fiend! 👊🏻😁
I added the breezy rider seat cover to my stock road glide limited. I didn't need to move back I just wanted more cushion for me and my passenger. It did sit me up higher but it is much more comfortable. We rode 2500 miles in a week on a recent trip. Couldn't have done it with out that extra cushion. Doesn't need a break in but it seems to mold to you over time. A much cheaper alternative to a new seat!
I went through maybe 8 seats way back. Got a saddle man step up fell in love and immediately got that same seat for last 3 bikes but went with a Mustang for my current bike bike because I wanted more firms cushion for a lot of miles instead of a stiff lock you in seat this time.
I think it was called a bad lander or something like that. Had a 2011 Dyna Superglide. Had the seat for like 2 months and decided it was last Harley seat I was ever going to buy lol
bought it 3 weeks ago tried 3 so far, im using the tallboy after sending 2 back its a second hand 2008 electra glide and the seat was ripped im 6"4 36inch inside leg and stocky (fat lol)
I bought my first RG in 2012 and it was no way i was riding that bike out of the dealership with a stock seat at 6-4 and 34 inch seam. I got the Tall Boy seat and I’ve been using it for the past 12 years. I’m about to trade for a 23 RG limited and I think I’ll go with the Sadddlemen road sofa. The tall boy seat i always felt i needed about another inch or so. Update: I didn’t trade my bike but i now have the Lepera kick flip Daddy long legs seat. It sits me up high and back 2 inches. I’m still going to get the road sofa extended reach for long distance.
Sundowner smooth deep bucket seat. Came from a stock RK seat that was modified by meancitycycles here in NC. They put memory foam and gel patches in. After 50k on the seat, it was time to upgrade . I love the sundowner I have now. Sits me higher a little and further back a tad but has this nice bucket that comforts my bacon on these long distance rides and that it what I was looking for.
@@FullThrottleHOG it pushes you back app. 1 - 1.5". i control my comfort with the same backrest you use by adjusting its lean angle with the screw in the backrest pad and putting the mount as far back as possible on the fender.
I have 2000 miles on my road sofa and it's still kicking my butt...literally!! Saddleman says 500 but most reviews say 1000-1500. I'll push it to 5000 but if it doesn't get better I'll take the loss and get something else.
I put a mustang touring style seat on my 02 fatboy when it only had 500 miles on the original tailbone crusher. Then I put a bikers friend barrel with a backpack and haven't looked back. Now I have about 80,000 miles on it. Mustang always has a big display at sturgis and if you buy a seat they'll ship your old one home for free
I run the saddlemen Dominator 2-piece gel WITH BACKREST. It took about 2700 miles to break in. More mile, the more comfortable it gets. Cali to Florida and back cozy ass seat
Nicely done Ryan, and you are correct about the 500 mile's to break in any seat, I pulled off my stock seat and went with the Mustang heated deluxe seat and I'm pretty satisfied with it, I've got about 18k on it now and I'm still liking it, I know a lot of people that has went with the Saddleman seat and I have only heard really good thing's about them, great choice brother, see you soon my friend💯👊🏽😎
I bought the road sofa for my 2017 Roadglide, after 3,000 miles I am ready to toss it. It does sit you back but lifts me up so at 60+ MPH I get a lot of head buffeting, I found a used stock low seat that keeps me lower so no head buffeting, and is more comfortable, I am a bigger guy 6'1" and 350lbs and I usually do 500 mile per day.
Hey man, was it only the height that was a deal breaker? I'm 6'5" and 300lbs. I'm on a RGS with an 8" windshield, but I do have a 10". I need the comfortability. Currently riding a Ciro Adam Sandoval seat that is made by Saddlemen. 3500 miles on it and I wanna get off of it in an hour. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
I had the stock seat, and got it reworked. Such a nicer upgrade. But I started wanting a little more room. I have the tall boy. 2 actually. 1 Was loaned from a friend. The other one was just recently given to me with a total of 2 miles. I had thought about getting the new one reworked by a local upholsterer. About $400 with a different stitch pattern on the seat. But recently sat on a LaPera maverick daddy long legs. It is approximately the same dimensions as the saddleman. The LePera has a metal seat pan and I leaning that way.
I had a La Pera Maverick Daddy Long Legs on when I went to Sturgis. It wasn't on the bike for the ride home. Ended up buying a mustang super touring deluxe. The La Pera is good for 100-150 mile days. 400 and up definitely did not work for me. I'm 34 225lbs and 6' tall.
We are limited here in the south pacific, i run a 2020 street glide, I’m 6’2”, i mostly ride 2 up with the Mrs, around town solo and 2 up i use the ‘HD tallboy’, a bit less space for Mrs and on trips the ‘HD hammock’ as it is better for distance even though I loose space, the Mrs gets a bit more, I don’t notice or think about the seat at all… trust that helps someone :)
I bought my 2020 road king in July of 2020 I’ve been through 6 seats and the sundowner seems to be the best for me. Always liked mustang but had 2 and they didn’t work out for me. Saddleman sdc like a brick.
@@FullThrottleHOG I test rode one. But yes definitely need break in time. The sdc I probably should have put more then 300 miles on. I liked the position still might try a road sofa again. Or ls I ride king trips need comfort mustang I had rode to sturgis from ny I was sore after 450 miles had a wide touring on an 04 road king I could ride forever on that. Idk if anything has changed with mustang
I've gone through exactly 0 seats...whatever is on the bike when I bought it, that's the seat I use...I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay nearly a grand to upgrade my seat...I'm not even gonna spend half that...whatever it came with is good enough...& if it ain't good enough, I don't buy the bike...my Road King had a Mustang seat on it when I got it, great & very comfortable seat, but I'd never have spent the money on a Mustang for it if it didn't have it already...both my Hondas have stock seats...fine for local riding, not so great long haul, but them's the breaks...I tour on them anyway...
Have a 2019 road glide ultra and have the original seat and love it .I also have a 2000 road king and I changed it to a mustang seat and I am disappointed I believe 650 down the drain it looks great but no better then the stock
Just picked up a 23 Freewheeler and the Tallboy went on right away. An update Oct. 11/23 on the Tallboy. Nice around town but hard on the ass on longer trips. I’m looking for something else.
Good thing here in Germany is that you can withdraw from the Purchase in 14 days period. So plenty of time to ride on the seat and test it. Common sense is the seat has to be literally like new in order to return it and get full refound. ✌🏻
I came to see if you would comment on the extended reach cause I just got one and it feels a tad too extended. I’m 6ft so if you think it’s a little far back then I know it is for me. 😂 I have step up extended reach and it’s perfect so I’m disappointed and not sure what to do.
Great video Ryan i am on my third seat and it is the saddleman road sofa ls. Just getting started on it and I can already tell a difference , I fell Like Handlebars are the same there is so many different options how in the Hell do you pick the right ones. Thank you for what you do and I cant wait until the video. Stay Safe out there and have a great weekend
Finding a Harley dealership that does seat trials is far and few between as a matter of fact I’ve never seen one. I have the extended Harley seat but need more room to go back I’m 6.2 so I need that extra 3/4s the Saddleman provides with Christmas and inflation I just don’t have the $$$ now 830 clams is huge for a Fing seat.
I have aa Saddlemen Road Sofa and I don't know how you can survive 5000 miles on that seat to break it in. It is painful and I'm sure my butt will break in before the seat does.
I have always ditched the stock seat... they have always been garbage. I have purchased Corbin, Mustang and HD seats. The HD Sundowner was a decent seat. It was too plain looking for me. The Corbin seat was comfortable and looked nice. Every Mustang seat I have ridden on was excellent. I did find some minor fitment issues with the Corbin. I am now looking at the different Saddleman options. The Corbin website is less than desirable. And their customer service was lacking. I have heard that Saddleman customer service is second to none. I am not a long distance rider, so 5000 mile break is not appealing. Good review... :-)
Late to the party.. but I went from the oem steady on my 20 rg limited, to a road sofa, to a lepera mavrick. To a saddlemen dominator. An die have a road sofa extended reach coming this week .. Ugh. I'm sick of buying seats and loosing money reselling. The wife and I did 870 miles this weekend on the dominator solo with rider backrest and wide passenger pillion. With a sheepskin over it to help with the heat this weekend. The last 100 miles was absolutely miserable. Where my butt cheeks meet my thighs hurt so bad. I'm to wide for a 12" wide seat 😂
Great Video / Biggest takeaway is everybody's ass is different, what works for one guy may not for the other. Its all trial and error to find which seat that your ass likes. I've had seats from one manufacturer on one bike and loved it, and the same manufacturer's seat on a another bike and hated it. Also very important to be patient and push thru the break-in period. I have the Saddleman LS R-Soafa, with driver backrest now and LOOOOVE IT‼
It will give the passenger a little more room. But, my wife and I have had no problems with the extended reach. I made sure my tour pack was in the furthest back position.
Just subscribed to your channel. Previously owned a 2015 Ultra Limited and 2016 Road Glide Ultra and stuck with the factory seats. Purchased a 2023 Street Glide and the factory seat is terrible. I’m 6’5” and 350 pounds. Looking for recommendations from similar sized riders for a new seat.
I got a mustang super deluxe. It's a very good looking seat. But it is way too hard for long trips. I find myself stopping every hundred miles or so on long trips because my ass hurts. It also sat me up which makes me feel like I'm sitting on the bike not in it. It's been at least 10000 miles. So it's not just a break in stiffness.I think the road sofa is next.
I’m currently riding on a sundowner and it feels like I’m on the tank of my roadking. I’m thinking about a road sofa but not sure if I should go the extended reach or the regular one. I’m 6.1. Any input would be appreciated, thanks
I can't fit Harleys without seat modification and feel like I'm riding way to far forward and very cramped up. I just bought a new Tri Glide and having trouble finding a seat. From seat change videos it looks like there is a back rest holder under the seat taking up space I need for my big but not back. going back to the dealer and see if they can remove the back rest holder and put something like a Mustang day tripper or road sofa.
So far my 21 Tri Glide is the first seat that I have not messed with it. But I only have 2500 miles on it so far. Plus we trailer to and from long trips. We will find out with a couple 2 day rides this summer. I will check out the video, you may want to hear from a 61 year old that just got his wife to ride with him last summer after 30 plus years of marriage. Lol
well the stock seat is crap so that's one. I bought a Saddlemen Road Sofa LS for my 2021 RGS and after several hundred miles it has broken in nicely and is very comfortable. I had Mustang seat on my 2015 SGS that wasn't as nice as the Saddlemen, in my opinion.
I could buy a sportster with all the money I’ve wasted on seats. The only brand I haven’t tried is saddleman I’m so hesitant to drop another 800 for the road sofa. I go out for rides and do 200-400 mile days just puttin around and also do 3000 mile trips. Currently using a mustang but want to try road sofa. With mustang extended I still feel like I’m on the tank. So do ya think the saddleman will be the one ?
I hear ya, I am guilty of this as well. It's really hard because its a personal choice and it takes time to know if it's the right seat for you. Thanks for watching.
I’ve got the Hamic seat on my 13 road glide. Was never an issue but then again, you can’t really go far in Alaska. Move down to OKC. Been riding down into Texas towards New Mexico longer rides. Yeah I’m not liking that hammock seat that well neither is the wife. both of us get sore ass have trouble with stiff legs. Been looking around for a different seat. Part of my problem is I’m an old truck, driver kind of a fatty.Lol. So I think maybe my weight might have something to do with the miserable seat but my wife she’s barely over 100 pounds and she still gets sore ass 🤷♂️
6´8 here with 37" inseam.. Can´t find a solution for my Road Glide ST. I´ve got the Saddlemen Step Up extended reach paired with 12" straight risers and high bend mx bars. Running tall boy cycles relocation kit for the floorboards but still aint comfortable in the hips and leg room. My only option I can come to think of right now (don´t want another seat) is to have the seat re-done by a saddle maker to move me a bit upwards and backwards. Got any ideas man? Thanks
Orale wat up Homie good topic, I do big miles, but I never bought a seat, I've always had stock seat, redone and stiched, padded, and measured to our liking, but I did for the first time did buy a brand new seat, I've been eye balling for a while, I kept seeing it in Sturgis.. very pricey but I think it's bad ass. Reply to this comment and I'll let you know what seat i got..lol..Cee U On The Road.
Just ran across this video and I have also purchased the saddlemen for my 22 road glide. I have about 2500 miles on it and still no change yet in comfort. The issue I have with it, and have yet to find anyone with this problem, is sometimes after about 15 to 20 minutes of riding the seat starts getting hot and i have to et off. It's not a heated seat. Apparently it has a gel insert and the only thing I can think of is it's absorbing the heat of the motor. Have you had this issue? If so any ideas?
unfortunately, the road sofa doesnt fit. wtf. need more options for the Freewheeler. Bought the Tallboy. Its moves me back, but not too comfortable. another option is Mustang's. But they're not readily available
Been looking for a different seat on my trike 2021, have looked online the Harley dealerships that I have talked too said the “Tallboy” w/ backrest around $700. I also have been looking at the Mustang deluxe touring seat with backrest around $900. Still looking :/

Like you I’m 6-4 and that’s good to know! I’m ordering the saddlemen. My tall boy seat just doesn’t give me enough leg room.
6'-4" here also.
Thank you for this info!!
I'm getting the road sofa for my 06 road king!!!
I got the road sofa and both of us hated it. It was rock hard. Returned it after 1000 mile trip.
@@Cowboy12-9 ROCK HARD?
Can the company make it softer?

I wanted to try the Mustang extended reach but was struggling with their "no return" policy on an almost $800 seat.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback. Be safe.
I agree, after its broke in, the seat is amazing.
Great seat!! I agree a long break in but well worth it once it's done!
LOL
Now hearing you state that it takes 5K or better makes me rethink sending it back for them to do something to make it softer...so they said.
I'll do the 5K and hopefully I'll be one of those happy ass( literally) riders!
Thanks keep up the Great Videos! 🤠
Hopefully this works out for you. It definitely took me the 5k. But now, I love it!
The road sofa is really great.
2 seats, Lepera maverick and HD CVO leather, settled on the Saddleman RS extended reach.
Doesn't need a break
in but it seems to mold to you over time.
Damn! 8 seats? Which one was your least favorite?
I think it was called a bad lander or something like that. Had a 2011 Dyna Superglide. Had the seat for like 2 months and decided it was last Harley seat I was ever going to buy lol
bought it 3 weeks ago tried 3 so far, im using the tallboy after sending 2 back its a second hand 2008 electra glide and the seat was ripped im 6"4 36inch inside leg and stocky (fat lol)
I’ve had my current Harley for 18 months, but took the first 1200 mile trip and decided a new seat is on my upgrade list for this spring…
It will make a big difference for sure. Ride safe. 🤙🏻
I’ve not tried the sundowner. Is it the stock seat position or does it push you back?
@@FullThrottleHOG it pushes you back app. 1 - 1.5". i control my comfort with the same backrest you use by adjusting its lean angle with the screw in the backrest pad and putting the mount as far back as possible on the fender.
Im looking at trikes,i did get to use tallboy at dealership yesterday on a trike i was looking at. But this looks even better
The adjustable back rest WILL work, I have it on my bike with that seat. It's a pain to get the seat screw in but it will work.
I upgraded to a Harley Davidson Hammock seat along with the Harley-Davidson rider backrest. Was able to ride 10 to 12 hours in the saddle.
I wish I could have seen your video a lot Earlier because that seats going for over $800 now 😮 the saddlemen
Great channel man. Gave you a sub. So far 3, and still looking. The HD Road Zepplin has been the best so far but really raises me up a bit.
Thanks brother, and yes…you will see me next month. 🤙🏻😁😁😁
@@FullThrottleHOG Hell Yeah brother💯👊🏽😎
I’ve heard good things about that Maverick. I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts once you get it and put some miles on.
I’ve gone through 3 seats and finally settled on the Saddleman Road Sofa.
I know it sounds crazy but how about posting a video of fully working the back rest ? Adjusting etc?
Great video. If I had to do it over again, I would buy the road sofa..100%.
Same here. After it breaks in, the comfort is great.
Really pleased with my Mustang Super Duty Touring seat on my Ultra
I’ve heard many great things about that seat. 🤙🏻
Hopefully my saddleman seat will be here next week… can’t wait… just in time for long mileage rides to enjoy and break in… lol ride safe
It does take the 5,000 miles to break in the Road Sofa. After that, it’s amazing.
The prices on the seats are completely insane in my opinion
I agree. Insane. I've seen seats for over a grand.
The Ultimate Seat Co offers a 10 day trial period, and when you order it they ask your height and make the seat to fit you.
Did you get an Ultimate seat? Do you like it?
thanks for the informative video. Do you know if the Road Sofa is available for the Softail Standard/Streetbob?
Still have the original 2018 CVO hatch pattern seat…..thinking about a Saddlemen RS w/ backrest, extended reach with heat…
Thats a good choice Gunship Gray. Thanks for watching.
It would take me 3 years to break it in. Guess that means I have to start riding more
I have the Saddleman extended reach , love it !
To break mine in while watching TV at home,im sitting on my Harley seat 👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have the Saddleman LS R-Soafa, with driver backrest now and LOOOOVE IT‼
New Sub! looking for a seat for my 2024 RoadGlide, been rocking Mustang seats since 2009!
Hello Rodney! Welcome to the channel. I love my road sofa, but remember there is a break in period.
So I have to ask… did Saddleman give you the seat or did you buy it?
Best seat for me so far was a Mustang seat on a Yamaha 1100 Virago.
If you have a passenger would it be advisable to get the regular instead of the extended reach?
It will give the passenger a little more room. But, my wife and I have had no problems with the extended reach. I made sure my tour pack was in the furthest back position.
I have an extended road sofa and I had to remove the rider backrest in order to fit someone on the back.
What is your input and other’s input about a Mustang seat in comparison to these two? Thanks for the video.
How much more does the saddleman shrink down the passenger area.
i got the tall boy used it one day a waste of money put on a RS love it
I got a mustang super deluxe. It's a very good looking seat. But it is way too hard for long trips. I find myself stopping every hundred miles or so on long trips because my ass hurts. It also sat me up which makes me feel like I'm sitting on the bike not in it. It's been at least 10000 miles. So it's not just a break in stiffness.I think the road sofa is next.
using the tall boy, it's ok. I'm 6'3" so it beats stock and the price is good.
I’m currently on my 2nd Softail seat and looking for a 3rd for something higher.
I’m currently riding on a sundowner and it feels like I’m on the tank of my roadking. I’m thinking about a road sofa but not sure if I should go the extended reach or the regular one. I’m 6.1. Any input would be appreciated, thanks
Use my stock Honda Shadow seat. I have not felt the need to get a different seat yet.
Hi I'm 6 feet 5inch tall I'm still looking for a seat on my 2015 streetglide special can you give me advise or help on the seats thank you very much
U should try ur boy Adams’s seat from ciro. (The ASR)
I definitely want to try that one out.
Couldn't ride my Z1000 for more than 45mins, without standing at the lights. Got a Sargent seat....500 mile days!
Lol
Lol, sounds like persistence paid off. Ride safe and I hope she enjoys the ride as much as you do. Be safe. 🤙🏻
@@FullThrottleHOG Will do!
Do the same!
Badboyscyclez scorpion seat on my 21 RK. Attention to detail, quality, and most of all comfortable from day one.
well the stock seat is crap so that's one. I bought a Saddlemen Road Sofa LS for my 2021 RGS and after several hundred miles it has broken in nicely and is very comfortable. I had Mustang seat on my 2015 SGS that wasn't as nice as the Saddlemen, in my opinion.
I bought the road sofa. It is hard. I’m hoping it does break in. I’m coming from a Harley hammock seat. It was breaking down too much.
Thanks for watching.
you can return harley seats with no problems.
Thanks for watching. Seat purchases can be so tough. Which one did you go with?
@@FullThrottleHOG got the Danny Gray seat hawk. Very pricey but I'll review it when I get it.. thanks bro 🙏. Cee U On The Road.
I have a Harley freewheeler. Have a stock harley road glide seat on it. I think sofa should work
unfortunately, the road sofa doesnt fit. wtf. need more options for the Freewheeler. Bought the Tallboy. Its moves me back, but not too comfortable. another option is Mustang's. But they're not readily available
how does it affect the passenger seat? we ride two up on our trike when we tour.
Good question. I’ve been wondering the same thing.
Been looking for a different seat on my trike 2021, have looked online the Harley dealerships that I have talked too said the “Tallboy” w/ backrest around $700. I also have been looking at the Mustang deluxe touring seat with backrest around $900. Still looking :/
Have a 2011ultra classic I'm only 5'7'' on my second seat any suggestions
