Playland"s Castaway Cove will also be adding at least one additional coaster for the 2016 season. It is currently under construction at the factory of E and F Miler and will encircle the Gale Force. It will be a family coaster replacing our old Zierer Flitzer coaster. More details will be released in a few days. We are working on finalizing the third coaster and will post additional information a little later.Thank You, Playland's Castaway Cove.

I like this coaster the Sky Rocket II model is getiing old and they need a new design and I'm very happy they decided to make it. It's good a small park like Playland took the little time it has to challenge the Sky Rocket II model that the chain parks are building.
This looks great. Probs gonna way better than the Zamperala knock off in Coney Island. And Ocean City is a clean, gorgeous place. I think it's to assumed Python is on it's way out, and if that makes someone sad, can always head over to the identical one at Keansburg. A nice coaster like this is perfection for Playland, Ocean City is by far the nicest shore spot in NJ. Nice to see them doing something awesome like this.
+Seiko Zoorhess It really does, and I'm excited to ride it. The launch speed isn't too bad. I rode the one at Hershey Park called Storm Runner and it's launch made me black out, so I've been a little gun shy of some coasters that go faster than 50mph. I liked Python, but it was showing it's age and it threw you around a little too much in places. This ride looks like it's going to be really smooth.

The gale force was gonna open in 2016 but it was delayed to 2017 but I don’t know why they delayed it, but I’m a coaster enthusiast I’m gonna ride that.

This coaster looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. I know it's not a Euro something or other that Fahrenheit is, but the track looks a bit like one of those though.
you should have said maybe coming in 2016 LOL as its still not open? :) it does look good, I was there to see it. you guys did an excellent job constructing it .don't know what happened I guess testing and permits might have caused the problems. well i will see you next summer! hopefully its open then good luck!

+RollieMcSplat Studios Same with Python! That was my first roller coaster ride that went upside down. I guess now that it's gone I can say SooperDooperLooper was my first one.
Kind of upset that this still hasn't opened, I was looking forward to riding it this summer.

Yes it is. It opened at the beginning of the summer and is very fun.
It appears as they are removing it today.

@@NathanaelErik Due to the ride being too bumpy, it was shuttered. A repair was attempted, then the entire track was removed and replaced. It's an interesting story coasterpedia.net/wiki/GaleForce
Will be surprised if it opens in 2016 (false advertising). We were there this past weekend and it's still not open.

Yeah pretty much. I was there last weekend and they just put the car on the tracks but it is still not open yet. They are still building the coaster that runs around the sides of Gail Force, so my guess is opening will be some time in June, or at earliest memorial Day weekend.
Renee Gaud yeah I was there too! I just drove by, it was pretty rainy. The thing I'm really worried about with this coaster is that it has 12 seats, the ride time is around a minute, loading and unloading will probably take about a minute given that the ride is new and they want to make sure everything is ok and that castaway doesn't have very good ride operations, plus the shoebie hoarde means you'll be waiting in line for forever.
Renee Gaud plus it's new and everyone wants to ride it (of course) if you thought the python line was bad, this will be much worse

This is gonna be unreal. Playland doesn't even have a real roller coaster per se....this is a hell of a way to start. There is barely any room in the place!
